will be very sad if they don’t offer a non-folding device
I have been pleasantly surprised by my recent dealings with Samsung. I sent back my first Note 20 Ultra for a rattle and they were nothing but helpful (I was surprised after hearing others’ experiences). After I received my second N20U and was wiping my N10 Plus for trade-in, I noticed that the back corner glass was cracked (not sure when it happened - it’s always in a case) but sent it in anyway and have been sure it would affect trade-in value but was pleasantly surprised that Samsung gave me the full $650. This made the N20U cost ~ $425 - a real bargain IMHO.Has anyone got tips for dealing with Samsung customer service? It feels like kicking a wet mattress up Everest would be easier!
My issue is the fold 3 with s pen will likely mean a price increase And it’s costly enough.
Actually, I wont be surprised if the Fold 3 costs less than the Fold 2. I dont think a price increases is coming.
Reports are that Samsung want to cut prices on all their current lines to try and steal more from Apple and grab a stronger spot in the market. S21 prices are expected to be lower than last year. If anything, I think they keep the Fold 3 at $2000 and the Fold 3 FE comes in around $1500-1700.
Think fold fe will be around 900-1k. Well that’s what was rumoured
Samsung keep messing up their S line pricing so I won’t hold my breath
Yeah, that seems it might be the case. Which doesn't seem too bad come to think of it. I don't know about worst internal display. Similar to S20 FE... I think they would still give users 120hz refresh rate, but I think they would probably cut some camera specs, lower storage compared to main one, and probably some underneath changes we won't see. But most definitely they would forgo the external display.I don't see how they make a fold for that price but that would be great in getting it mainstream. For that price it would have to come without an external display and a worse internal display to even make it feasable you would think.
Honestly, I think a smart move for the Fold FE would be to get rid of the outside screen and instead just have it include a half screen similar to the Z Flip. That way users still get notification feedback and room for quick reply type things. For everything else, you have the huge inside screen.Yeah, that seems it might be the case. folks , i got 12 pro max from xr. Thinkinh about returning it and buying note as now priced has reduced. Its about $200 cheaper than pro max now.
note looks lucrative but thinking about long term and updates iPhone will do better as its their flagship with best processor vs note series which is not flagship as i feel sammy will take care of z series more now.
Note should be good for 2-3 years still. Anyone had both both or would like to share thoughts

Also, while the Note might be cheaper, iPhones will hold their value for a lot longer compared to any other brand of phone.Always best to look at it from the perspective of what you plan on doing with the device, I know the obvious call and text. But the apps you use, your social circle.. that's what you should look at, take price out the equation. Even if the Note is cheaper, there's some aspects of the iPhone you probably value more.
As far as updates, Samsung has been ramping up on it... One UI 3.0 should be around the corner.
If especially you are not a yearly updater the Note is the way to go simply as if the IP gets 120hz refresh etc next year you will be regretting it where you are already ahead on features with the note and given your discount, speculation on 2nd hand prices which are always eclipsed by Samsung generous trade-ins will hold you goodfolks , i got 12 pro max from xr. as others have said it really depends on what you are going to do with the phones and how you use them. If you have a house full of Apple products and use the device handoff features then maybe stick with the iPhone.folks , i got 12 pro max from xr. Yeah, that's true. However, as @SteveJUAE pointed out... retailers help boost the value of Android phones with trade-ins. There is Best Buy promo to trade in a Pixel 2 for 350.Also, while the Note might be cheaper, iPhones will hold their value for a lot longer compared to any other brand of phone.
