Thank you for all the above replies.
the big thing I find distracting on note is curved screen while reading text. Videos its fine. Videos are better on iPhone. I don’t have an apple watch yet but might get one in a year or so. iPhone same same to me like XR. No big difference apart from bigger better screen and better camera.
Maybe I want a change but at the same time not realizing the long term routines changes that I will have to go through when i go android and everyone in family has iPhone and my last Android experience was LG G2.
Note did look very attractive, might try it for 2 weeks or buy used on a sale in 3-4 month time.

Here is excellent comparison and he makes sense

It should be reasons why a Note is better or why to choose a Note over an iPhone. He loses a lot of credibility by enthusiastically saying "destroys" like a child trying to win a petty argument. Reverse wireless charging is rarely a deal breaker, let alone a "destroying" feature.

In terms of looks he is absolutely right. Ultra looks a very well sophisticated 2020 modern gadget. While iphone 12 .....well...the huge notch and thicker bezels are bit turn off's for a 20/21 year old phone. The metal bit of iphone is cool and looks really nice especially on blue .

i thinks design wise iPhone is not that bad compared to note. Stainless steel is better imo and notch is there but u dont see when not in use and who cares when u have 6.7 inch display unless zooming in video

Like your notch comment you do not see the Stainless band LOL

The more expensive (Premium) material is likely to be aluminum even after tooling/production costs

I doubt very much the rigidity/stiffness of stainless is the main reason for selection (post bendgate) and simply impact/scratch resistance that a $15 silicone case many fit simply mitigates this concern.

The weight penalty of stainless is it's biggest drawback on an already heavy phone

There are no outright winners in all categories when it comes to material selection of alloys they all have pro's and con's

I wish he had noted the lessor glass spec on the back of the Iphone that cost over $500 to replace

But the stainless steel also bit more heft and weight to the 12PM. Compared to the N20U which has a little bigger display and it noticeably lighter in the hand.
I don't subscribe to the notion that more heft means a better build. It just means a heavier phone to hold in the hand for hours a day.

Agree with you on the notch or any punch hole. They all become invisible after using it for a while.

He could have at least used the actual max instead of the regular pro model.

Yes, he’s correct in what he says but iPhone is for integration and experience so I never thought they wanted to compete with Samsung. They need continuity mostly.

And if what max real weekly said is true Apple is focusing on storage/memory in one package next so I don’t think they really care about what Samsung is doing.

I hate those videos personally. Both phones are awesome and one isn’t “better” than the other. It’s more about what device suits your daily life more and which you enjoy using more.

If Apple were to get rid of the notch, I might try an iPhone.
But the notch is seriously hideous imo, I'm not going to splash out 2K on a monstrosity, no matter how popular it is.

personally, what Apple have done with their silicon is nothing short of amazing, the battery life is pretty good considering the size, the cameras are great but that frikkin notch is inexcusable, and the bezel could be a little slimmer too.

Notch imo is overblow in iPhones. Yes one day it will be gone but it have little effect on function.

like stainless steel as it does not bend easily compared to aluminum. Yes weight is negative on 12pm but 12 pro is perfect in terms of heft and size those who love that size.

mystic bronze looks pinkish but i really like the phone other than curved screen. Will try out for 10 day to see if I am ready to jump ship to android.

rn me and my partner are in apple ecosystem with ipad mac airpods and apple music. Might get apple watch later if i stay in the system but personally have little use rn.

love the fact a14 is such a beast and with 6gb ram this will last so so long. In the past Androids have lasted me 1/2 half time conpared to iPhones always. Decisions

Well comparing to ios , the Android customization options are mind blowing. Seriously you can express more of yourself and personality on Android than ios.

Years ago when i migrated from ios to Android i really enjoyed the freedom and customisation of Android and Android phones.

On the other hand , ipad tables are lot better than Android in many ways.

I liked that part when had android like 5 years ago but after going iOS I realized I was spending so much time on customization and changing things up and with iPhones you use the device more imo.

interested in going back ti android for some time to see all changes as i have switched to iPhone since 6s plus

customization is really great but for me once you do it once I'm like well is that it? my Home Screen looks how I want it but that's it I don't need to do anything else to it. funnily enough though my Home Screen on my android device is basically the same as my iPhone now with widgets on iOS 14 just slightly different

You will be drowned in a sub-sub-sub setting menus ?. I think it'll be even more in the new Android version.

Haha so true. I enjoyed the customization on Android when it was easier to root and flash custom themes with Cynogen.

I finally switched to iOS about 5 years ago and noticed that after trying to go back, I actually have ocd if certain items aren’t uniform. That’s just the iOS polish that’s hard to beat.

Considering the smaller note 20, it's on sale for 750 from Amazon and 499 from Google FI and it has the Spen.

It's also cheaper to fix and more durable, of course it's not the powerhouse Note 20 Ultra.

Yeah, a week ago, I purchased the regular Note 20 and am very pleased. The flat screen is nice. The camera is good. Also, I got it for a little less than 1/2 off without a trade in (from Swappa).

Yep, the price was the biggest turn off for this phone but if you can get one @ half price its one of the best medium range phones. Who really cares about the build quality if you can look after the phone.

good deal...

I just had to re-download a configuration file for my MNVO and much to my avail I couldn’t use chrome since the file would’nt open, it only works with safari.

It’s the little things with apple that bother me like the file system is practically worthless if you have to fight to open files.

I need to use the note 20 small and see how the screen is compared to the 11 max.

Apple still has a way to go when it comes to freedom, I use swift key and on some applications it defaults to stock.

Good phone and it last a long time but sometimes it’s a headache.

Not to mention the phone will cut off by itself at times.

This Spigen model is what I have though not Ultra, seems like what you want.
