I swear, outside this forum, I'm a barrel of laughs. To be honest, I respect all points of veiw, regardless of how wrong they are. :p
[doublepost=1546795571][/doublepost]

When you praise your iPhone hardware, like the display, you care what Samsung does. When you're happy your iPhone isn't even more expensive than it is, you care what Samsung does. Apple finally started using OLED only because Samsung brought the cost of OLED down where Apple found it acceptable to their level of greed for profits. So whether you like it or not, the iPhone as you see it today, exists in part, because of Samsung. Enjoy and be proud of the bullet proof Samsung tech you hold in your hands each day of your life. #gettechwoke
Okay, great, I guess?

Most Apple users don't know that Apple uses Samsung screens or tech. If you told them, I highly doubt they would care in any way. And the ones who do know (such as me), most likely don't care. I don't care.

Also, I've never praised my Apple hardware, especially the display. The current OLED screens on the iPhone X and up is too dim. Good job, Samsung.

Oh but you do care. As I said, when you're happy you're iPhone isn't more expensive than iti s, you care. Hate Samsung all you like, but as long as you keep buying iPhones, and as long as Samsung is a supplier, you care. #gettechwoke

I’ll never understand tech loyalty. I get the iPhone because I like the iPad and Apple Watch. I like iOS. If Android can get their watch situation better, I’d jump on over.

Why be loyal to a company?

I agree. I dont like to wear a watch so i dont care about that side of things. Apple is just so expensive and another reason why i dont buy their stuff. Good thing im not a fan of iOS.

How is the hole better?
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder....Look at the picture i posted. I think it speaks for itself to be honest.

We just don't care. We're content with our iPhones.
I would say you care a lot by how much you comment on them in these forums......sounds like you are being a little defensive about it.....

I think you misread what I wrote. I never said I didn't care about Apple. I just said I didn't care about Samsung.

I got what you posted...but for someone who doesn't care about Samsung and is content with your iphone....you sure do post allot about Samsung.... for not caring and all.
*a lot

It's not a company that I even think about IRL except when I occasionally post here in the Android section. It's not a big deal. You and a few others in this Android section tend to take things to the extreme.

Also, I did have a Galaxy at one point and so I did post about Samsung then.

Anything else? Are you done going through my post history?

Yeah, I don’t get that either. I’m not going to lie, I do care about Samsung. As much as I don’t think I’ll like the hole, what Samsung does is of great interest to me. Samsung moves the Android universe, whether you think that’s for good or ill, in terms of hardware. And they make some of the best designed hardware out there.

I’m going to admit something here. I like the way the Note 9 looks more than the XS Max.

I don't care about LG as a company and any phones they make........so because of that I don't post in LG threads or LG forums...... They don't cross my radar or pique my interest at all. They make great products....but i just don't like them personally.
Saying you don't care about Samsung and are content with your iPhone yet post a lot in Samsung threads is disingenuous.

Then...I haven't any interest in your post history....I am going by what you have posted here in this thread......

"yet post a lot in Samsung threads"

As I've said, I did when I had a Samsung. Now, I largely post in the Pixel and iPhone threads and rarely talk about Samsung.

Anything else?

Nope...think everything speaks for itself......
it's obvious to everyone what is going on....

So you got anything else to say about Samsung? the company you care nothing about?
How content are you with your iphone if you are in the Pixel and Samsung threads?

In terms of obtrusiveness, the hole seems like the better solution to the current notch on iPhones.

But in terms of overall user experience, if the hole can’t provide a secure Face ID biometric authentication, & therefore the in-display Touch ID becomes the prime method of logging in & making payments, then we’ll need to wait & see if the less obtrusive hole is worth it.
[doublepost=1546855860][/doublepost]
That’s just unusable space.

& if there were a bezel, then the unusable space gets pushed up, thereby decreasing the overall screen size.

I wouldn’t mind if every iPhone’s lower edge looked like that from now on. It’s the top edge that’ll need to be (& will be) shrunk down over time.

Samsung seem to have finally progressed to a point where they can kill the bezel & gain screen real estate + shrinking the overall form factor....& anyone disputing this, & wishing for a dated bezel that’s on the S9, are delusional.

Looks pretty and all but I'm just over Samsung. I got used to Pixels and One Plus and now have very little interest in Samsungs. I'm not 100% sure why but yeah, I'll be passing unless we learn about some new earth shattering feature.

I agree 100% on this. I'll take the slightly behind hardware on a Pixel, OnePlus over Samsung's version of Android.

The thing that annoys me of the Samsung Galaxy S10 are the asymmetric bezels. It would’ve looked much better if they where the same all around or at least the bottom and top bezels.

I'm not sure what OEM is producing symmetrical bezels especially top and bottom and most cant even get 3 sides matching so your dislike/annoyance list should be very long :)

You must be new in the smartphone world then because there are a lot of phones which are symmetrical.

Let's be honest, if people say, after a few days, they don't notice a notch protruding into the screen, I'm more than certain people won't notice ever so slightly asymmetric bezels. Besides, what's the other option? Increase one bezel to match the other, in turn increasing the footprint of the phone just for sake of symmetry? No thanks. What we are currently seeing with the punch hole design is a necessary step into a fully bezelless design. Give it another 2-3 yrs before Samsung perfects sensors and cameras under the display. So whether we personally like the current designs of smartphones, it's all necessary as we head into the next phase of smartphone design and tech.
