Oh jeez are they still lagging behind updating the unlocked phones? That happened to on my S7 and it was infuriating. I gave up and that phone is still on um...Nougat I think. Whatever it had when it was released.

(My midlife memory is horrible these days. My mom just started showing unmistakable signs of Alzheimer’s or dementia to go along with her being hard of hearing, and the two of us trying to have a conversation, well we can start out talking about golf and end up talking about goats in the same conversation because that’s just the way it rolls.)

Anyway... I’m really appalled to hear this. I thought Samsung swore on their founder’s honor or something that they would be better about keeping the unlocked phones updated. Sigh.

AT&T phones are pretty close to the bottom of the update pile, too. But it’s better than it was.

My Note 9 is “up to date” on Oreo with the December patch. That’s what it tells me anyway.

Another leak. This one shows all versions except the 5G monster. In order, S10E, S10, S10+. Two notable things, the flat screen and side mounted fp reader (on power button) in the GS10E.

I watched Super Safs latest S10 Rumor video yesterday and he stated that the S10 plus is rumored to have 1 TB of internal storage and 12GB of ram. I'm salivating over these specs!!

Still not sure what I'm doing. I will wait until the S10 is unveiled but I kind of want a note too but don't think I can wait until August for the Note 10. At the same time I like to get the latest and greatest so not sure if I can get the note 9 if the S10 is out.

I have an S5 which I'm using at the moment with my XS max. It will be my android fix until the S10 is announced.

I've booked some overtime at work over the next few weeks to 'justify' getting a new phone. It will stop my husband from moaning anyway :p

The S10+ version rumored to have 1TB of storage and 12GB RAM, is the 5G variant. I myself will be getting the Note10. I'm a Note user through and through. Love screen off memo, won't go without it. The in screen fingerprint is what I've been waiting for forever. So having it in the Note10 is an instant buy for me.

Ps. I still feel Samsung should merge the Note line into S line, and continue to call it the Galaxy S. The S line is the bigger seller. Note users won't stop buying the Note line just because of rebranding. This will expose more users to the SPen, which can only be a good thing for future SPen development. I think there would be a lot of pleasantly surprised users of the SPen. It'll also be one less device to develop software for, which could mean faster updates.

In the same boat.

I like my XS max but feel a change is needed and i do miss the note line. I’m tempted to get the note 9 even when the S10 is out just to get the feel for android again then get the note 10 with my annual upgrade with EE when it’s out later this year.

Problem is this....the Apple Watch

Love this watch and what it does and i don’t think the galaxy watch would compare.

I’m the same. I do feel like I’m so deep in the Apple ecosystem and everything just works but I want a change. I’ve been using the iPhone straight since 2014.

This is the thing with me though if i get the note i would need to get the watch and Tab S4 too to make it more of an ecosystem...so cost wise doesn’t make sense at this point. Maybe i will just wait and review things when the note 10 is out.

Also i have high expections for IOS 13 and most of the features i like on android i feel could be coming to IOS 13...

I lost my air pods though and i badly miss the connection for how they work.

I’m hoping apple do change home screen UI to make it more like on android.

Will be excited to see what S10 brings though as a tech fan.

Has anyone read anything about eSIM functionality or dual SIM support in the U.S.?

Now that Apple supports dual SIM through eSIM, I’m wondering if Samsung will follow suit.

I know that Samsung has had dual SIM models outside the U.S. for a long time. But they were never supported in the U.S.

I hope not :) unless it's 3rd sim option :D as it seems to me most carriers have made it such a hash for now

However it they do introduce esim on single physical sim S10's it should be implemented better :) as the Apple variant is not as comprehensive as Samsung dual sims currently

For those that have not had dual sims before they will appreciate the asymmetrical cutout as the info bar can display dual carrier status etc far clearer than a central notch

I hope this is accurate. I am really pleased to see the S10 has three lenses like the S10+ model does. If that’s true, I can consider that one.

I’d prefer the E, but if the third lens happens to be an impressive enough wide angle lens, it may be hard to turn down that option. If I get one at all. I like big displays and have gone plus sized and plus priced the last two times, but with some previously unexpected elder care expenses a looming possibility, I want to be more conservative than y’all are used to me being. :p

They all look kind of flat screened, well compared to what I have now. I guess the case is disguising the edge a bit.

I’m still not sure I want to go this route or go for a new Pixel of some kind. Or stay with what I have.

If Samsung kept the mm headphone port on these I may have to express my approval with an upgrade. ;):p

I just realized... is this the end of the LED notification light!??

Maybe well get a small chin (or forehead) up top with it!?

I've had apple since 2010 and the one thing I missed was the LED light.

Was considering the s10 to get back into android world (and leave my mac behind for a windows surface laptop 2).

Yes, I love the LED notification light. Yes, I'd rather have it vs. the always on display. Yes, I am weird.

The LED notification will hopefully still be there. There is an LED around the font camera.

LED notification around the camera hole would be a great idea aswell as an easy ejectable SIM/SD card slot. I wish manufactures cared enough to develop that.

If they want an LED notification light, why don't they just have a small colored flashing circle in the upper part of the OLED display by the earpiece...

I bet even the S10 plus won’t be as expensive as the max.

This is rumored pricing.

  • Galaxy S10 Lite 6GB RAM / 128GB storage: €779 ($885)
  • Galaxy S10 6GB RAM / 128GB storage: €929 ($1,056)
  • Galaxy S10 8GB RAM / 512GB storage: €1,179 ($1,340)
  • Galaxy S10+ 6GB RAM / 128GB storage: €1,049 ($1,192)
  • Galaxy S10+ 8GB RAM / 512GB storage: €1,299 ($1,477)
  • Galaxy S10+ 12GB RAM / 1TB storage: €1,600 ($1,819)

They are all cheaper than the xs max in the UK (conversion) apart from the 5G varient. However even that is still cheaper than the 512GB iPhone xs max here.

Thank you for posting that. Well it’s not great to see prices over $1000, but the prices for 128GB models aren’t bad compared to what else is going on with smartphone pricing these days, and you know there are going to be deals eventually.

They’re going to be gorgeous, exciting phones and I look forward to the release and the reviews. I just ordered a Pixel 3XL but I haven’t ruled out an eventual trade in of my S9+.

It would just be something I’d undertake awhile down the road, maybe even to the debut of the Note 10.

Lol, well I wasnt going to get the S10 anyways but at those pieces I won't be getting the 11 either. Man its a good thing I'm not a big phone lover.
Looks like along with Apple, Samsung had priced themselves out of my range. Unless I get another half price deal and I'm talking half of $1056. Wouldn't go above that. Most likely heading to Motorola when I NEED a new one.

I'm sure you'll be able to get the S10 significantly cheaper if you wait a few months.

From Phonearena:

In fact, over in Italy, the cheaper iPhone XR retails at €889 ($1010). The iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max, on the other hand, cost a whopping €1189 ($1351) and €1289 ($1465) in the country with just 64GB of internal storage.

So the regular S10 with 128GB storage and 6 GB RAM costs almost the same as the iPhone XR with 64GB of storage and 3GB RAM and a 720p LCD screen. What?!?! HAHAHAHAHAAAAAAA. Complete joke. And for even better perspective....

Galaxy S10 - 128GB Storage - 6GB RAM - 6.11 inch OLED @ 2K = €929
Iphone XR - 128GB Storage - 3GB RAM - 6.1 inch LCD @ 720P = €949

ABSOLUTE JOKE!!!

Bigger joke is in reality, s10 can be bought at an even lower price than its recommended retail price.
