You guys sound so morbid, we have 4 macs, 4 iPhones, 2 iPads, 2 APTV and all works seamless, not 1 complaint here :)
We have two Apple TV’s too. An old one and a newer one. The newer one is a pain in the tail. I really hate that remote. But all remotes these days are form over function.

Everything works. It’s just as these things are aging out, we really find ourselves not liking the prices or design or specs of the newer models. Or we just find alternatives that are more appealing or more affordable. So our ecosystem is growing more fragmented.

Back on the topic of Samsungs, I’m still trying to decide which preorder to cancel. My S10+ or S10e.

I would cancel the S10e because the S10+ is a much better product with more RAM, more battery, and a better screen. The extra cameras are cherries on top.

It's a very solid First Gen Effort, its most certainly not as bad as people here would have you believe. However there is room for improvement.

I was one of the critical people on here about the pfs from the beginning. I did receive the update a few days ago, and it is much better. It was almost unusable at the beginning, but now is much better. But I still don't think its reliable enough, it is slow when it works, and there are random times it just doesn't. But It is way better than my initial thoughts on it. I think some sort of haptic sensor, or always on display placement would really improve things.

As for everything else, pretty satisfied, battery life is great, everything is fast, camera is on par with XS Max, but need more time with it.

For people having issues with the FPS, I was watching a video by the YouTube tech guy and he said to turn on increase touch sensitivity and then re set up your fingerprints.

It’s not that the products don’t work well together. It’s because we can’t use other hardware that we see that might have superior features or might suit our needs better. We want the choice to pick whatever device takes our fancy. Not just be restricted to only Apple devices because it works with your other devices. I don’t like feeling trapped.

The S10e and S10+ are not comparable per se, one's a small phone and the other isn't!

Before you order/buy one of those I'd imagine you know what size of phone you want.

As for the features you mentioned, they're all "cherries" imo. The extra RAM will have little to no effect on the average user, the screen I will give you - to a point. Whilst it is indeed sharper the S10e screen is pretty dam good too, as for battery life, I've not had the S10 plus but I know my e is getting around 7 hours screen on time per day which from what I've read is pretty comparable to plus times.

Has anyone tried Bixby routines?

Is it possible to say have my phone switch to flight mode when I get to work?

There is poor signal and it drains the battery. On my iPhone I have to remember to do it manually.

Watched a mate have drama with the finger print scanner, tried the fixes and update recommended that the average joe wouldn’t even know about, imagine if Apple came out with this crap, the uproar lol.
People complain Apple are late to the party but they get it right when they do turn up.
The big selling point For a $1500 phone here you got to be joking Samsung, Korean tech at its best.

Lol you don't realise the uproar in most of what apple does like putting a 5w charger in the box

The FPS works as well as face ID does

You will get incorrect entries like with face ID

seems people still don't understand the best way to use it and it's simply not holding it down but a slight press

He's always been on ios since he switched as far as I know?

I think Face ID is different for everyone. Mine is about 90-95%. Also can you qualify the in screen FPS only based on seeing one of your friends using it?
[doublepost=1552388560][/doublepost]Anyone know if there is a difference in the track quality between google play music and Spotify?

I’m listening to music from Spotify on one of my google home speakers and it sounds better when listening to the same song on google play music.

Exactly I mean if his friend isn't doing it correctly he will get mixed results. There's a way to do it successful and not

Everytime I've unlocked my phone today the fingerprint scanner has worked with no false attempts

And in terms of switching back? Not as my daily driver until apple actually gives me better value for money

The S10 plus is simply a better phone than my max in basically most areas

Once apple adds features to compete with the S10 and becomes a similar price then sure I will consider the iPhone just like I review tech each year to see what will give me the best value for money

I still love my ipad Pro 12.9 and won't stop using that

Thanks. I did order the 8GB model with 256GB of storage. Still, I get your point. I do make out financially better overall with an almost free case and earbuds and don’t get really anything extra on the s10e. So if I go S10e I may as well wait for the price to go down.

No, pics look nice on my husband’s S10+. Some provide even better detail than on my Pixel. Hmm...are they taking pictures of hopping koalas at dusk? ;)

No, really, I wonder if they got a bad batch.

So far no fingerprint reading issues for my husband, either. An update made it really good.

For me, on an iPhone Face ID is accurate when my face is in the right position, but even with attention aware off, if I have my head at an angle the phone can’t deal with it fails. And so that’s a lot.

Touch ID on an iPhone didn’t work well for me until the last generation and on Samsung it didn’t work well for me until the S8 and S9. So I’m used to typing in my passcode to unlock. No biggie for me there.

I will find it annoying for payment authentication. That’s where I feel the sting of failed authentication. My husband has reassuringly said it’s not been a problem for him.

I have turned AOD off today in a bid to try and get better battery life.
Not that battery life is bad (it absolutely isn't) - but to see how much of a difference it makes.

My phone is in a locker outside my office all day so I don't need it on from 8am to 5:30pm so may as well knock it off until after work f I do feel like I need it.

I am also tempted to return my normal model and get a Plus.
I love the one handed feel of the smaller model, but I am so accustomed to using two hands that I'd almost rather have to do that and get that extra screen.
I do think the increase in width would also help me stop making so many mistakes when typing.

But I don't know. Would likely be a hassle that I can't be bothered going through with!

I’ve trying a brighter lock screen imagine and have night mode to come on at 8pm and see if it makes much difference to the battery life having non dark mode apps in use and not a dark background.

I have 58% left and i have

2 hours, 30 minutes screen on time
4 hours, 30 mins standby

So i think so far it’s about on par in terms of usage wise.
