The S10e and S10+ are not comparable per se, one's a small phone and the other isn't!

Before you order/buy one of those I'd imagine you know what size of phone you want.

As for the features you mentioned, they're all "cherries" imo. The extra RAM will have little to no effect on the average user, the screen I will give you - to a point. Whilst it is indeed sharper the S10e screen is pretty dam good too, as for battery life, I've not had the S10 plus but I know my e is getting around 7 hours screen on time per day which from what I've read is pretty comparable to plus times.
I’ve got a use case for either size. It’s reassuring to hear the e is getting such great screen in times. That’s just amazing!

Oh man,if i just could stand oled :(

Funny thing is,before all this iphone x oled gives you a headache,i was using an Samsung s8 and before that an samsung s7 for a whole year. I did get watery eyes and my eyes got tired very quick. I do get tired eyes and watery eyes still but less then before.

Im scared to make the jump from my Xr to and 10e as i don't know if i can stand the oled on the s10e,and if that is the case i cant buy an Xr back as i dont have the money for.

So cant try which eats me coz i really wana have that s10e as i like smaller phones.

O,one more thing,i work a few days a week as a taxi driver and use my phone with google maps, and i dont think the oled can take it.

I have turned AOD off today in a bid to try and get better battery life.
Not that battery life is bad (it absolutely isn't) - but to see how much of a difference it makes.

My phone is in a locker outside my office all day so I don't need it on from 8am to 5:30pm so may as well knock it off until after work f I do feel like I need it.

I am also tempted to return my normal model and get a Plus.
I love the one handed feel of the smaller model, but I am so accustomed to using two hands that I'd almost rather have to do that and get that extra screen.
I do think the increase in width would also help me stop making so many mistakes when typing.

But I don't know. Would likely be a hassle that I can't be bothered going through with!
Have you tried Google's keyboard gboard? I hated the default Samsung keyboard.

The S10+ definitely does give me eye strain. With the blue light filter on it is tolerable but not anywhere near as comfortable as the OLED on my Pixel 3XL which is even easier on my eyes than the display on my Xr. I had only about an hour with the S10+ so I don’t yet know if the display will give me the same neurological problems that the iPhone OLED display does.

If I can be bothered to take pics of it later, I'll be selling my iPhone. Despite annoyances with the FPS at times, it's not enough to put me off keeping it. I think it's probably too exact of an area which I'm not always hitting properly.

I'll always prefer the way iOS does some things and the way Android does others. I just hope nothing catches my eye before Pixel 4 because I had no intentions of buying a phone until then. Now look!

So I put my sim card back in my XS Max today and kept my business sim in the S10.

I just feel that iOS is a bit cleaner in a few areas and I can type better and more accurately on the iOS keyboard. I tried Gboars and while it was better, it wasn’t as good and I like WhatsApp better on the iPhone and there’s obviously iMessage.

This is so difficult, I love the screen, quality of the build and Pie but the notifications where pi**ing me off. They are not consitancd. Each app offers its own notifications, and there are more notification settings inside each app which are then slightly different. The app determines the vibrate pattern - for example my Ring door bell app will vibrate 4 times when someone approaches my door or rings the bell and there’s no way to change that at all! I’d like a single vibrate pattern I like get on iOS.

I may end up switching back. I’ve purchased the 512gb ceramic model just in case I switch back a second I’ll need the two sim slots and storage.

I do love the feeedom the S10 offers but equally, I can’t rest because of the feeling I’ve missed a setting or there’s more tinkering to be done. It took me the entire weekend to set this thing up too!

I also have a pink hue so I am arrange a decide replacements the one in store didn’t have this.

First world problems, I’ve also seen renders of the OnePlus 7 and it looks incredible too, at half the price... with SD855 (we don’t get that in the UK).

Understand your reasonings..notifications is the only bug bear for me where they don’t come through straight away but i keep telling myself maybe that’s a good thing where i don’t get bugged every two secs. Certainly when it comes to twitter

I think the IOS keyboard is the best in the business imho!
Being able to use both phones like you described might be a great solution for you :)

The more I look at my priorities in a phone, the more a Pixel makes more sense over the S10 line but still torn. I would be using this on the weekends if you will moreso for the camera as the top reason. XS Max during the work week.

Camera easily the top-kids,events
Social Media interaction
Timely Updates

I haven't heard good things about the Pixel screen but the other 3 things mentioned seem to fit that more then the S10.

Does Pixel have issues with Snapchat/Social media sites as well?

The Pixel did tend to get really laggy every time I had Snapchat open. The app worked ok but you can definitely tell the difference between the iOS and Android app.

MKBHD's video about the Pixel is exactly the reason why you should stay away from that product until the Pixel 4. Google still hasn't gotten its act together.

The only two things that I would say Pixel 3 brings are the camera and Google Duplex. I am going back to Android myself again at some point, but I am opting for the S10 or S10+. I could try to force myself to get used to the 10e, but the FP sensor is annoying as hell.

I think it depends on how you use it. I haven't noticed any significant studders or lag on my 3 XL. Camera opens nice an quick, same for every other app. Only wonky problem I had was the Google Assistant failing to wake to my voice or the side squeeze. A hard reboot solved that issue though it still won't open now while I'm using Brave browser. The second I switch to another app it works--likely a privacy setting in Brave that I missed. I also don't use any social networking apps any more so couldn't comment on how those may or may not affect things.

Battery performance doesn't quite match my XS Max but it's not terrible. I've left AOD turn on and that's likely contributing to the difference. I've turned it off and will see if that improves things a bit but again, the battery performance is decent to very good for me.

Otherwise, my Pixel 3 XL has been a great experience.

Anyone have any tips on how I can make my FP sensor work better on my S10e? I really want to make this device work for me.

My Galaxy Watch Active just arrived. I don’t have an S10 to connect it to. I guess I’ll try my Pixel 3XL for now. It could be another two weeks until I see the S10.

The watch is about the same thickness as my Apple Watch but the Apple Watch has tapered edges that make it seem thin. The Galaxy Watch Active looks thick. But it’s not the dinner plate on my wrist that my other Galaxy watches have been. It’s beautiful and I love it so far. The band is nice.

I may just leave it be and let my husband set it up with his phone. His watch hasn’t shipped yet.

Those who have had notifications not coming through straight away i have downloaded an app to stop the android doze...tested it with a few apps and it comes through same time as my iPad so i think it’s worked. Just type in android doze...hopefully stays that way. Not a deal breaker but something i’ve Used to coming through straight away.

Anyone that used LastPass getting a popup in Samsung browsers address bar asking to autofill? It's almost as if LastPass thinks it's a username or password field. Can't get it to go away other then relogging in to LastPass which is getting annoying.
