There isn't anything that will be out about iOS 13 or the iPhone XI/XIR/XI Max. Curious as to why? Waiting for some promos or something?
No just to see what they are saying about services. If it’s anything worth staying in the ecosystem for...

I wouldn't get your hopes too high. It would probably the $9.99 Apple News package, the Apple Streaming Service, and maybe a few minor other things.

Ordered an official leather case which is arriving today.
It's the navy blue one.

I did get a clear case from Amazon which is ok, but looking for something a little more luxurious haha so thought I'd pay for an over priced piece of thin leather.
:p

Got the same case last week for my S10 Plus. I like it though to me it feels a little cheaper (thinner) feeling than the Apple one.

Do you guys think the S11 would be the first series with 5g in its entry level devices? Or that will be a top of the line feature up until like 2021 or 2022?

In other news, my case was "delivered" but isn't here, so lord knows where that's gone! Need to do some investigating. o_O

How does the G-Cam app work on other non-Pixel devices? It takes the Google camera software algorithms and apply them to another device? They do some amazing work on those single rear camera devices.
My husband says it works well. I didn’t get to see very many of the test photos he took but he was very pleased. He loves his Pixel but likes One UI and Bixby and the overall look and feel and function and most especially the battery life of the S10+.

What he is missing from the Pixel was the Night Sight and the call screening. He somehow got the Google news feed on his Samsung, I think he said in place of where that Bixby page is. I’ll have to double check on that. I definitely want to do that on my Samsung when I get it.

I wish I could spend these last days with my s9+ using it. But after I dropped it in the parking lot, I’ve been keeping it tucked away on a shelf a lot.

Still waiting for the Exynos version of the S10 to have a gcam APK.

I also read a review earlier today of the S10 on my lunch break where someone said the Exynos version has bad battery life. The guy was averaging 3 hours SoT and basically said the battery was the phones biggest flaw.

That isn't my experience at all, and if anything, since turning off the AOD it's lengthened the bat life quite a bit.

yup. I use the stock camera for daytime pics and the gcam for night shots...the best of both worlds.

I wouldn't worry about 5G for a few years. Can't recall where I read or heard it but 5G deployment is going to take a long time. One estimate has only 30% of the US populace with 5G coverage in 2023--and that is primarily around the biggest metro areas (NYC, LA, NoCal, Chicago) meaning geographically it's a tiny area. I don't want a phone that invests any resources in 5G for a few years because it's a waste of hardware and will inflate the cost.

So both of my buyers for my IPhone XS and series 4 watch failed to pay on eBay after winning the auctions a week ago.

I had both of them boxed up and ready to send but decided to take another look this evening just for old times sake. Bad idea!!

It was like Christmas all over again. I’ve spent the evening getting them set up again and it’s weird how comfortable you feel going back to the tried and tested. As much as I love the hardware and the customisation of the S10, iOS just seems to nail the basics. I think I actually prefer the extra thickness of the iPhone as well.

I fear something inevitable is going to happen..

I got the Galaxy S10 Plus today (I also have the XS Max). I love how light it is and the design in general is really good, especially the prism white back. One UI looks good as well, although there are still things in Android which I do not like (however this comes to personal preference). The wide angle lens is impressive, I also made some low-light photos and they look good as well. The last time I used an Android device was in 2012, I believe, so, obviously, make things have changed since then. In contrast, everything looks more polished and refined on the iPhone and iOS, but this is due to the fact, that iOS changes are relatively small from year and year, and the same goes with the iPhone design as well. Where as Samsung comes up with an idea, they offer it to the customer, then they decide it is either not good or comes up with another idea, so it seems that the changes each year are bigger and they do not have time to refine the products. They, at all cost, try to give more features that Apple provides, even if this means having stuff rushed and unpolished. This is at least my point of view, I am not following Android devices a lot, but this is how it looks to me. Nevertheless, Galaxy S10+ seems to be a great phone, as certainly you get more than what is in the iPhone for less money. That being said, I will never replace my iPhone with Samsung, but I was curious how things have changed and decided to get it so that I can play with it. If you guys have any questions, feel free to ask. :)

Update: I forgot to mention what I think about the ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. In general, I think it is great and Apple should have introduced it, as what the rumours were. I have never had any issues with iPhone's Touch ID. However, the Samsung's one takes on average 3-4 attempts to unlock it. I guess they will try to fix it, as they promised, but I wouldn't say it is really reliable for the time being.

Impressive it says here....

I just got an update to my T-Mobile S10+ and the fps response is better now. I've seen many videos with good reviews for the fps so it got my hopes up. I just got my DomeGlass so I'll rescan my fingerprints and hopefully I get it as smooth as their videos :)

It could be that bad? Damn, well that makes me feel more comfortable going for the S10+ in a few months. Apple better get their crap together or I'll ditch my iPhone and Apple Watch after WWDC is over.

So it's been a full week and I love the S10e. The size is perfect, the flat display is worlds better than the curved edge I had on my S9, and performance has been great.

This is the most polished android phone I have ever used. I'm a big fan of my iPhone XS, and this feels like my XS. There are times when I forget I'm using the Samsung and think I'm using my iphone. The feel in hand and the feel of the performance is that polished.

The hole punch is nicer than the larger notch of the iPhone, but I'm still not a fan of the thicker than normal notification bar that is still needed to compensate. I actually would've preferred Samsung used the Infiniti v display instead.

The fingerprint reader on the side though has been a bust for me. It works really well and is very fast, however I don't like the position. It's a bit too high up to use comfortably with my right hand, and with my left its awkward wrapping my index finger around to reach it. I also miss the swipe down gesture, yes i know it's still there, but it is so much easier to accidentally activate when holding the phone in landscape, I had to disable it. Wish they had stuck with the rear fingerprint reader. Facial recognition is fast, though it's not that secure. My son actually fooled it once, guess his face is close enough to mine. FaceID is the gold standard, and this falls short, but the convenience is worth it to me. If security is very important to you, I would recommend to avoid it.

Battery life has been very good, gets me through the day with about 6hrs screen time. I have not had to worry about it. Screen is beautiful, sharp with wide viewing angles and very accurate colors. Tiny gripe, I wish they had gotten the bottom bezel to match the top. Not a big deal, but I do wish it was symmetrical.

Those are really my only gripes, everything else has been excellent. It really feels like my iPhone XS, but with added features, such as DEX, microsd, headphone jack, wide angle lens, reverse wireless charging, a true file manager, emulator support, live wallpapers, more customizations, multi-window, picture in picture, and usb-c. All for $250 less than my iPhone.

I've always maintained over the years that even though Android and Samsung have come a long way, if I was only allowed one phone, it would be an iPhone. And the iPhone XS has until now been my favorite phone ever. However, the S10e is right there. It's a toss up on which phone I would pick, with the only advantage of the apple ecosystem (iMessage, facetime, icloud, faceid, and iTunes) in apple's corner.

Now please Samsung, make a Note 10e.

Are you using the facial detection? I would avoid that because it’s not worth the convenience on the S10e. I hate the FP sensor location too, so I am sending my S10e back. I’ll probably wait to buy the S10 or S10+ at a later time.
