I charged my phone to about 45% when I factory reset it and now at 15% left this is the usage.. Guess will be a better test tomorrow from full charge

That actually pretty good. 2.5 hrs SOT for 30% battery is pretty ideal. Over 100% you're looking at 8 hrs.

I know my battery performance on my Xr is not as good as everyone else is getting. I don’t let it bother me. I just throw it on the charger as needed. I keep one in the car as well. It would really only be a bother on a hike, and honestly on most places I’ve hiked, I’d really need a satellite phone because I get no signal, as I have gone hiking at canyons and mountains and found my cellphones to be useless.

That Andandtech article I linked to previously might help shed some light on why some of you are seeing what you’re seeing in terms of battery performance on your S10’s. There are some significant differences between Exynos and Snapdragon, sorry to say.

Like you I don't get overly hung up on battery monitoring :)

I did browse through the Andandtech article as it was at a level of minute technical details that had me nodding off LOL

However despite what seems some over exaggeration at this fine level of detail and the usual personal preferences many of the points he noted had little real noticeable differences IRL usage

More importantly his summation said the Galaxy S10's would of been his first phone awarded his gold standard if there had not been two variants and the main differences he noted between them were software fixable and not hardware

So in his opinion and testing etc the S10's SD version is the best phone he's ever tested and so would the S10's E version if it's updated :D

Just a shame he had to give the credit is such a backhanded way

Dude, you need to perform that full factory reset.

I'm on 64%, 12h on battery and 4.5 SOT on 4G/LTE.
Surely you can't have been doing very intensive stuff to get those kind of figures from 36%? That would have you at around 12 hours screen time from a full charge.

I properly need to stop worrying about it and I guess as long as it lasts all day that's what matters. Hard to measure others as we all use our phones differently after all

I've done the factory reset so maybe it was full of bugs due to transferring stuff over from my iPhone which caused the issues. Will see

Don't worry the Exynos version currently has Idle drain issues that will be addressed in the next update. I fixed mine temporarily by doing a reset on the settings but the issue came back. The SOT is insanely good, I can get 8 hours without an issue but the idle drain is not so good atm, i'm just going to wait for the update and not worry about it.

Does anyone know of a guide for the super slow mo? I record a clip but the part I want in slow motion can't be changed. I can see there's more of the clip on the right side but no matter what I try, I just can't alter the slider to that part. Frustrating is an understatement!

What’s interesting to me is that when I transfer things from the iPhone to my P3XL everything is smooth. But when I use the Samsung smartswitch, it get stock apps randomly crashing for no apparent reason.

And where is the March security patch for the USA Samsung??

Maybe factory reset has done the trick

May sound cliché, but I'm really loving the customization of Android. Not as difficult and confusing as many have warned me about. I purchased Nova Launcher, and it's amazing. I've downloaded multiple icon packs. The squarcle and circle icon shapes are a refreshing change from the same rounded corners I've been staring at for years. I've got multiple back ups of my homescreen set up with various icons so I can switch on the fly. Then there's Samsung's Good Lock. Jesus, this takes customization to the next level. I really enjoy looking at my own setup on my lockscreen and homescreen. I like clean and minimal layouts, and now, that's exactly how I have my phone setup. I can't help but now notice how messy/crowded iPhone home screens look, as well as other Android phones. Not everyone takes advantage of being able to customize their phone. To each their own.
Then there's the One Hand Operation app. For me, it's better than the stock app switcher. To be able to see more apps in a small window is so much more efficient, and also doesn't show private information like the app switcher does. That being said, Good Lock does give an option to hide the data that's displayed in the stock app switcher. Also, after using multi-window, I think my interest have now moved from the 10e to Note 10. I want a bigger display to enjoy multi-window. If the S7 Edge a 3 yr old phone, has left me this impressed, I now want the best Samsung offers. I like the niche market the Note has created itself. August/September is gonna be a good time for my mobile tech shopping. One last thing, I really like the live wallpaper on the lockscreen. In case any of you cared for it, this the one from the Galaxy Fold. The animation on it is cool. I got it on sammobile.

Just in case any of you iOS users might think this customization is difficult because what others have said, don't believe it. You can do all this within minutes or a few hours, depending how much you want to customize. Android is not this complicated mess that many iOS users like to claim it is. Reading the post from some users here, it really discourages you from trying anything else out there. If you're interested in a change, just go out and try it. You hear so many stories of, "I tried it and it was such a laggy mess, I came back to iPhone." After my experience, I honestly now question how truthful those users were being.

This guy here, is exactly how I feel.

May try a factory reset myself then.

How did you transfer your text messages? Or didn’t you?

Thanks
I didn't transfer my texts from the message app but I did transfer my WhatsApp via Google drive. I only use WhatsApp so the texts from messages aren't from people I text.

I didn't transfer gallery either I just use Google photos to sync everything. I manually did contacts which helped as got me to get rid of people I never speak to anyway.

Yep, same results here. It's now the same as my XS Max.

There must be something in the smart restore process that makes the phone buggy following a restore.
Yeah something in there isn't right maybe as it's from an. IPhone who knows. Will just start fresh from now on.. Only takes a few hours anyway

Wow, yesterday I found a pair of wired earbuds at Target that should match my new flamingo pink phone. Best of all they sound fantastic and cost only $5. .They sound much better, actually, than my lightning Beats wired headphones that cost more than ten times as much that I got as a gift to match my Xr. And they sound better than all of my Bluetooth buds I own that cost well over $100. Wow...$5.

I am so glad Samsung still includes the old headphone jack. Though I doubt $5 buds will last very long, I have sturdy wired options that last for years and therefore are better for the environment. They're affordable for all. It makes me sick when I go to the other part of the forum and see Apple praised for "moving us into the future" by getting rid of the "antiquated" wired earbuds and headphones. Talk about drinking the Koolaide.

Everyone was fine having both options available until Apple decided on this path to upsell everyone on Airpods and Beats wireless stuff.

Unfortunately I have a feeling that these days are almost over. Maybe even with the Note 10.
