I want to know your experience on s10e..I bit the bullet and ordered the S10e - it arrived today. Haven't set it up yet as have family coming round soon. Debated about keeping my SE, but I just couldn't see an SE2 on the horizon. Also considered the XR so I could sync with iPad/MacBook but the size put me off. Hopefully I won't regret ordering the S10e!
It looks great on you. I like the black band on you, especially.I just got the Galazy Watch Active yesterday and boy I hope I can get used to the size. And the battery has been horrendous so I hope it normalizes. Honestly folks, is this way too small on me?
Thanks! I think I'm getting used to it now. As for the battery, it's weird because I put it on and it drained 5% in 20 minutes but now it's still at 80% almost 4 hours after. So something made it drain initially and then it calmed down.It looks great on you. I like the black band on you, especially.
I am having great battery life on mine. I’m easily getting close to two days. I guess about a day and 3/4 most of the time. But I’m not timing workouts on mine so maybe that’s the difference?????? And I have it pared down to just essential notifications via Samsung text and of course the phone calls, though a few weird merchanty notifications sneak in from time to time from Amazon. I have no social media apps tied to mine except for the one our school uses and that app has always been very well behaved.
Very interesting result for sure!
Yeah the update made the fps work a lot better, even through my cheap, thick, but optically clear film protector. Thank goodness.
As for when updates arrive, getting a March update in mid-April is actually pretty good for a Samsung phone. Mine is on AT&T, a carrier which is usually as slow as molasses on updates. Slow, as in usually last of the carriers to push out updates.
The fps update is pushed out by Samsung not the carriers. The March security update didn't include the FPS update, so I think you're experiencing some placebo effect. I don't think any US carriers have pushed out the FPS update yet.
I did also re register my prints after applying the new display protector and the temperature went up which means my fingertips aren't dry and cold anymore which seems to wreak havoc with the fps. My new display protector is also a bit sticky textured which helps. We did get an update of some kind but I don't know what it contained. It works better than it did for some reason. Still kind of slow. But Face ID on my Xr isn't exactly immediate either. There's nothing as good as the fps on my Pixel 3XL. Lightning fast. The March security update didn't include the FPS update, so I think you're experiencing some placebo effect. I don't think any US carriers have pushed out the FPS update yet.
My S10+ had the update ready this morning. I had the phone off overnight and when it booted it was there. The fps update is pushed out by Samsung not the carriers.
Yes it was a strange push delivery I was almost a bit suspicious at firstMy S10+ had the update ready this morning. I had the phone off overnight and when it booted it was there.
It's weird how the snapdragon is calibrated differently to the exynos model which does not have any black crush. However the exynos has gamma issues apparently. I wish Samsung could get the calibrations sorted.Well apparently the update doesn't fix that issue of the phone turning on by itself in purses. I just opened my purse to get my phone and my phone wasnt on AOD mode it was fully on and waiting for me to unlock it.
And yes accidental touch protection was toggled on. Oh well I guess they will fix it eventually. At least it seems to be an occasional issue in my case.
Oh I almost forgot to say, I was on the road all day and watched movies. Black crush was more of a problem than I was expecting. It was only marginal better than on my Pixel. I wonder if I should be turning that enhanced video mode off after all. The stuff I was watching was 1080p stuff from Amazon Prime.
Battery life was amazing though considering I have auto brightness off and have the screen turned up pretty bright. I still have 45% left after 4 hours and 54 minutes of movie watching and 11 hours 56 minutes since the last charge. Brightness turned way up, since I was watching movies with lots of night scenes and dark interior shots and could not see much otherwise.
In this comparison I preferred the S10 followed by the iPhone XS. The P30 was way too muted for me. However I guess it’s all about preference.Im not surprised at all.
It's like when MKBHD did his blind camera test and the Pixel 3 lost out straight away to something like the BlackBerry KEY2 lol.
People look fforInstagram ready, vibrant photos these days as the mark of a great picture, and the P30 certainly is muted compared to the S10 and XS.
I was playing with these yesterday and created an Ultra Power Saving Mode which was great when it kicked in but this morning my screen was still set to 20%, I had to flip back to QHD and re-enale adaptive brightness. So, I'm struggling to find how to make the phone revert back to the original settings.Bixby routines are actually really useful!
What do Sesame Shortcuts and Spotify/YouTube integration offer? ThanksHaving some fun playing with Nova launcher today. Holy cow, Sesame Shortcuts and Spotify/YouTube integration is unbelievable!

Yeah it’s great for saving battery life for a power saving mode and even certain points of the day changing the brightness as I don’t have auto on.Bixby routines are actually really useful!
For some reason i don’t think it does.I was playing with these yesterday and created an Ultra Power Saving Mode which was great when it kicked in but this morning my screen was still set to 20%, I had to flip back to QHD and re-enale adaptive brightness. So, I'm struggling to find how to make the phone revert back to the original settings.
Any tips?

Basically when on your home screen in Nova Launcher, tap your home button and a menu pops up where you can type in what you want to listen to.I was playing with these yesterday and created an Ultra Power Saving Mode which was great when it kicked in but this morning my screen was still set to 20%, I had to flip back to QHD and re-enale adaptive brightness.
