Question. How long does it take for your trade in to be accepted? Min4 showed that it delivered to Samsung last Tuesday.

Have any of you ever taken a carrier unlocked galaxy to another network? Have features like wifi calling and such worked when you switched? Just wondering if I switch providers if I'll have to find a way to flash a different rom on my S10+, which is a much more difficult process if you are using a Mac.

The process of moving with an unlocked iPhone (and not losing features) is much easier on the iPhone than android for whatever reason.

Folks. Been freaking real, but I made the decision to switch back to iOS. I got my share of Android fix and it was a lot of fun. S10+ is a beast. Really great device but just realized that my overall enjoyment of being able to take a phone out of my pocket and use it for what I need is most important, and iOS checks all the boxes for me where Android is so close. Much of it is the ecosystem. I'm not locked in by any means, but a preference thing.

If anyone's looking for one in great shape, *cough* check out the marketplace forum *cough*

Nothing wrong with liking IOS better.. You go with what works for you

Shame you can't use both

I may keep my iPhone for work as I've realised my new job I'm making more phone calls and don't want to use my personal phone for this

Oh if I could afford it I would, lol. Yeah it's tough because like I said, the S10 is amazing. But it was a couple things over the weekend that kind of summed things up. I probably spent more time tweaking things on my phone over the weekend than actually using it as a "smart phone" per se. And then I felt like reading one of my ebooks that I bought on Apple and I couldn't, and it just hit me like a truck that Androids are amazing tech/play devices, but for my use, I'm much more happy and comfortable with the iPhone.

With that said, when the cheaper Pixel phones are released, I may just dive in for a fun device to play with.

The process of moving with an unlocked iPhone (and not losing features) is much easier on the iPhone than android for whatever reason.

It depends. In the U.S., If you have a Galaxy S8 or S9 that had carrier branded firmware and you had the carrier unlock the phone, it will automatically load the correct firmware brand when you insert the new SIM. It will also install the correct carrier branded apps (a.k.a “bloatware”).

If you have an unlocked model from Samsung, it should work on all four carriers without issue. But you may not have all the enhanced calling features like VoLTE, WiFi calling and Visual Voicemail.

The features you get depend on the carrier. I think T-Mo gives you all of them and AT&T gives you none of them. The other two give you two out of three.

I'm getting the regular XS. The X was by far the best phone I've ever owned. It's the perfect size for me too so with some of the small updates that the XS has as well as dark mode coming soon, I think I'll have the willpower to stay put for a bit. Lol

[doublepost=1555418630][/doublepost]Samsung are doing well in Europe

However, Samsung retained its #1 position across Europe.

Samsung’s share of the big five European markets held firm in the latest quarter, aided by something of a renaissance in Italy and Spain. The launch of its flagship Galaxy S10 series also helped the manufacturer to consolidate its number one position in Europe, and it should expect sales to continue well into the next quarter.

In the first month after their release, sales of Samsung’s new S10 models have been split with the Galaxy S10 accounting for 49.4%, the S10+ for 42.8% and the S10e for 8%. The fact that the more expensive models in the range are so far dominating is positive for the manufacturer, but it should expect the S10e to quickly gain share as sales move away from early adopters towards more typical members of the public.’

I liked it but I missed the Amoled screen. Plus, very small thing but I found the phone to be harder to hold and slippery compared to the X.

I agree with this really - particularly the screen.
I like the LCD a lot, but when you directly compare to an OLED it's quite a contrast.

It's the price of the XS that prevents me from contemplating it again.

It's £1000 for the base model.
The Pixel 3 has been reduced here and is £489. Crazy difference.
