You would be surprised just how much better it feels in hand. Honestly I prefer a flat display but I can see the advantages of a curved screen.
I’d does feel better in the hand. Obviously I’ve had the note8 and S9 plus but even when I pick up my husband’s note 8 now it feels nicer in the hand.

It’s got to the point now where I have to leave power saving mode on. Which isn’t a big issue as all the settings are the same with QHD screen on. Just the CPU speed is lower and background apps are cleaned off.

With this on i have got about 5-6 hours screen time as previously for a few days was only getting 4-5 hours screen time. It lasts me all day from getting up at 5am til bed at 23.00 so not big issue.

My main issue currently is a bit of a deal breaker and this issue isn’t down to the S10 as it is an amazing device.

It’s Spotify issues.

When I use my galaxy buds every 10-15 secs the music just stops and i have to tap the bud to continue playing the song. I diddn’t Know if this was a Spotify issue or galaxy buds issue.

However when i use Bluetooth music in my car via Spotify it’s the same issue. I have to tap my phone screen which i leave on my seat and have to tap it each time to play music and it’s got to the point where it’s becoming unbareable.

Also my galaxy watch while is good i have missed my Apple Watch badly lately. More for music than anything else. Least with my Apple Watch and air pods i never needed to touch my phone. Just put in the air pods and click music on my Apple Watch and the way i went with no issues and no drop outs.

On the galaxy watch when i go into the Spotify app it never finds the fact i have the galaxy buds in so i have to unlock my phone to then play Spotify for it to come through to my buds.

So all in all when people talk about the ecosystem this is the benefits that it brings and flawless connection.

The buds work great syncing wise on my S10 plus but i can not get it to work on the tab S4 at all. Where air pods would connect straight away to my iPad as well.

Notifications is another big issue that i have tried to get on with but it has got frustrating and is becoming more a deal breaker.

Notifications do not come through when they should. It’s become very frustrating where notifications on my iPhone and iPad come through straight away while i can wait sometimes 10 mins for my notifications come through on my galaxy watch if i don’t touch my phone for a certain amount of time. Nothing worse than 10-15 notifications coming through on my watch all at once.

Due to these issues I have ordered the nike series 4 Apple Watch and the new air pods and use both side by side for a while to see what’s the best for my daily life. I love my S10 plus and don’t want to get rid of it at all but these issues are real issues and when you are spending over 1K for the phone and watch these aren’t issues you want to deal with.

Maybe this is mainly a Spotify issue with the music cutting out. Maybe you guys have had no issues? If there are things i could change i will be open to suggestions.
That’s why I couldn’t switch. It would be the little things that would irritate me in the end. I wish I could just use 2 phones at the same time but I’ve tried that before multiple times and it doesn’t work for me.

BT is resource intensive because it's constantly speaking to each other, so to speak. I have the AOD disabled, too. I get about 2 days of battery time between charges because my use case is calls, texts, emails. If I am streaming music, I'm plugged in. The Shazam issue is a bit different than your example.

It's taken some work for me to be able to keep using my Apple Watch while using a Pixel 3 XL as my primary but it's been worth it...so far. ;)

It's admittedly more than any typical person should deal with but I just can't replace my Apple Watch with anything even closely comparable so I'm making it work for very little extra cost.

The missus has said you can’t have two phones lol otherwise she will have two phones...

I can’t really use two phones though as since using the s10 plus I have barely picked up my iPhone.

Hey buddy I had the same issue with Spotify. It's when your screen goes to sleep.

To solve it, simply go to Settings>Optimise Battery Use>enable all>then disable all it will sort out your issue. Theres a bug somewhere.

Will that fix the music stop playing? Will give it a try and see if it fixes it for me cheers. The notification issue still bothers me I must admit even though i’ve Tried to not let it get to me.

Bummer to hear about your trials and tribulations. Only having these audio issues with Spotify? Do you see the same problems when using another music app? Have you tried all the usual.basic troubleshooting with Spotify--delete app, restart and reinstall, or first just clear app cache and storage?

Wish I had some useful advice about the notification issues but have had any similar problems so don't really have the expertise on where to start for that. If anything I get too many damn notifications and spend my time managing how to reduce them, mute them, or shut them off completely.

My Galaxy Buds experience, while not as seamless as AirPods, has been pretty trouble free. I have my Buds paired to my Pixel 3 XL, Pixelbook, and Apple Watch and have been able to switch between devices without having to manually disconnect or re-pair. Audio quality is satisfactory, not amazing, but they stay in my ears much better than AirPods and it's nice having some playback control right on the buds. I also haven't had any issues with playback cutting out with any of the devices. Just played a series of songs using Spotify and never lost connected over course of about 15 mins. Walked with my dogs for about an hour yesterday with them connected to my Apple Watch listening to Audible and also no playback issues.

Can’t say my husband was thrilled when I had two phones. He grumbled for about 10 minutes but then accepts it lol

It’s just that I’m always using one and the other one ends up in drawer after a few weeks (the galaxy). So it’s just becomes a waste of money just to experience it for a few weeks.

Yeah i’ve Deleted it and tried adjusting settings. The app on the watch is not great as it only seems to work via remote for my phone which goes against even using the watch app.

Will just go back to Apple Music and see how it is in comparison for now until my Apple Watch and air pods arrive. Will do what i can to fix any issues i’m Having over next few days.

Using power saving mode on an android is not the same as IOS. In Android/samsung, it can just shut down apps and not let them run in the background which is a bit of a problem for your music streaming.

Don't use power saving mode unless you have to is my advice. If you wan't your phone to last longer between charges, do stuff manually, like reduce screen resolution, etc. This isn't a fault of android or samsung, it is perhaps user error in expecting android to behave like ios.

For connectivity issues, delete your buds from the blootooth history, reset the buds and do a fresh connection. Your dropping issue sounds like the app is getting shut down by the OS because of permissions.

A good thing to do with any android or ios device, is to go through all apps and settings and make sure its set up properly.

It’s only recently where I’ve put power saving mode on and I had the issues previously

I’ve not long reset the buds but may try again tonight and see.

I ordered new air pods which arrive Tuesday and I may give the buds to my dad who is in need of some wireless headphones

Personally I don't live so on the edge that a 10 minute delay in a notification matters :)

Maybe not but shouldn’t be happening on a 1k device. It’s more frustrating when loads just come through at once

I can't help but think you've screwed something up tbh. notifications happen instantly on any phone regardless.

i suggest you back stuff up and then do a full factory reset but do not restore your apps or your settings. take some time to load up your apps properly and dont fanny around with settings you dont understand.

Battery normal today. Guess I won't be using Shazam anymore. Someone recommended me a replacement online but I can't recall what it was. Apparently GA can figure out a song, too?

No I’ve not screwed anything up, this happened out of the box and after I had battery life issues I did a factory reset and it’s been no different.

There’s clearly something in the android system that’s making the device go to sleep so no notifications come through after it’s been asleep for a little while.

It’s a shame that a few things has let the device down to me on what is otherwise a great device

What would be the point in backing it up if you’re not going to restore any apps or settings?

Funny, normally after moving in from a device I rarely miss it or hanker back for it. The only phones that’s happened with are iPhones normally, but it’s more the good ol’ ‘ecosystem’ that causes that.

But the S10, (particularly the smaller one), well I do miss it a bit. I’m not rebuying one, it’s more an observation.
I guess it’s pretty startling how well it did everything. Particularly every day camera shots.

Samsung really did a fantastic job with it.

It's very weird that you are still having issues with battery life as that is one of the s10s strong points, getting less then 8 hours SOT is a rare occurrence for me and that's with the inferior exynos chipset here in Australia. I'm starting to think you might have a lemon, might be worth a try to get it exchanged? I'm also getting notifications in a timely fashion.

It’s odd as I went from getting 7-8 hours screen time to a matter of days getting only 4-5

When I’m at work on 4G it drained more than normal. At 50% I was on about 1 hour 40 screen time.

I’m still using the S10 now but I’ve put my sim back in my max and will see how the drain compares in similar usage on my max when I’m back in work Tuesday. Air pods arrive Tuesday and series 4 watch Wednesday so I will use my iPhone with watch and air pods and compare as I use my S10 plus along side it for now...

Hmmm, then it must be a software issue, 1 hour 40 mins SOT at 50 percent is terrible even on 4g. The fact you have already done a factory reset makes it even more of a mystery.
