Yeah. So you guarantee to cut out any mobile signal. That way if notifications come through on time, it's mobile data related. I never had any issues with an iPhone though.

Will give it a try

So maybe if when I’m away from WiFi and notifications aren’t coming through on time it’s maybe data related

That wouldn’t definitely tell you if it’s phone or data related. Easiest way is to have your iPhone (which always come through on time) next to your S10 with the S10 in airplane mode and WiFi on. If they come through the same, it’s data related. If not, it’s phone related.

This is beyond weird

With my sim not in the S10 plus notifications were coming through same time as iPhone and now my sim is back in the S10 plus notifications are delayed again...makes me think is this data related..so odd

I’m giving up lol
I'm really starting to think you have a faulty radio in your phone, would explain the poor battery life and your delayed notifications on 4g. I would exchange it.

Will do some more testing and see

Could be an option but not sure if I can handle the hassle if I’m honest

Done some testing today and all notifications come through on time when phone is on s charger

Leave it on a charger all day and no issues lol

Decided to just keep the S10 plus. The difference in notifications isn't a deal breaker. The deal breaker was music stopping with drop outs..least that issue has been fixed

Does anyone else not like the fingerprint scanner?

I used the S10+ as a side phone, but I can't get used to it. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't work; and most of the time, I've got to press harder.

I'm thinking about taking a rescan of my fingerprint to see if that changes anything, but IDK.

Not to be obvious or rude, I'd have rescanned my fingerprint ages ago (and adding the same more than once ). Rather than thinking about it a d saying you don't know if you should.

Ooh adding the same one more than once. I’ll try that. I have rescanned my fingerprints, but wasn’t sure if I should do it again, or if it’s my “technique” at issue.

My main problem seems to be I’m not pressing hard enough. I’m used to just resting my finger (previous phones), but with the S10+, it feels like I need to “push” rather than “rest.”

Lots of people have done the scan by alternating their thumbs. So press the first time with your right thumb, second time left thumb, third right thumb etc. That will use one of the four available slots but both thumbs will unlock it. Try doing that for two slots. There's youtube videos about it.

Just switching off battery optimised usage on the Spotify settings. Fixed drop outs in car too

Right now though the pull for IOS has become too much. Last night no notifications came through for 30 mins and I had 10 come through at once. Kind of the final straw for me sadly...great phone though but as the daily driver going back to my max

Have you got data saver activated or options set for apps that are excluded from data saver as this directly impacts notifications

Nah none were on not after my factory reset. Seemed to be even worse at work today as a few notifications took about 1 Hour to come through. Feels like if it’s in standby for more than one hour at a time it just stops coming through. I have at least tried to be part of the galaxy experience again and it’s a great phone just a few key areas which has badly let it down.

Def not normal. Give it to some geeks at work to figure out what you have buggered up!

Sounds like a faulty unit IMO and not a typical issue

Lol not buggered anything up. Already done one factory reset and done loads of things to try and fix the issue but no luck. It is what it is. The last galaxy i had was the same in terms of notifications and i know twitter notifications stop after a certain point and to be honest i like notifications better on the iPhone in fairness. Easier to view and control and i have missed my Apple Watch in fairness.

Will still use my S10 plus for now though....
