Update: For the past 7 years I have been a nexus, pixel, HTC user...so stock android. Wow I've been missing out lol. Realizing how boring stock android can be.

Discovered Samsung Good Lock this morning and it has made customization so much easier than I remembered.

One thing I didn't like was the recent apps horizontal scrolling (stock android recent apps scrolls vertically). I thought I would just have to live with it and get use to it. Thanks to good lock I can go back to vertical scrolling. iPhone users hate on customization, however it's the little things that you can do to make the phone more efficient and suitable for my own personal needs and aesthetics makes android work so well for me.

If I don't like something, I don't have to settle or workaround it.

Hm, just saw Best Buy is offering the S10+ for $799 with Verizon device payments, no bill credits involved so I could buy it outright after a couple weeks. I was already having a little bit of a hard time justifying the extra $299 for the 5G, but at $500 I might just cancel the preorder and get a + model in my hands today. What do you guys think?

Thanks for the input. Using the same headphones as you. I already have the setting set to "high quality" in the Sony app and have LDAC selected within the headphone bluetooth settings in the phone's OS. Also LDAC best audio quality is selected in developer options. The connection doesn't drop, it's just always very choppy.

Hopefully it is just Samsung software. I'm fine honestly with a "middle ground" 660kbps LDAC setting, but I need to adjust it every time I connect the headphones, because it'll default to the best audio quality option. And lead to problems every time until I adjust it back to a lower bit rate.

Try disabling LOCATION (under settings pull down menu)
Playing LDAC best quality (990) on my S10 Exynos with no issue.

Ok I just tested it, it defaults to adaptive bitrate which works perfectly but if I force it to 990kbps it becomes choppy :(

Hope Samsung will attend to it soon.

Yep I also saw that before and tried it, worked perfectly. No longer have my S10e, sold it last week.

I have been using my S10+ the last few days.
Love the AOD on this phone. Wish my iPhone and Pixel 3 XL could do this too.

AOD is the one l really appreciate with samsung.. actually i dont need a smart watch by just looking at AOD .. even the mid range A50 they also put the same AOD... since note 7 (its the last samsung phone i have used) AOD has improved a lot .. its colored icons now haha...

after the note 7 debacle i have moved to pixel line and iphone ...

im eyeing for S10 as my 2nd phone... tried huawei but i dont like the UI .... i appreciate the new oneUI .... dark mode ..etc ..

They alwaaaaaaaaaays come back ;)
I’m very happy with my S10+ for my second phone. It’s everything I had hoped it would be. And I did finally get credited for the trade in of my S9+ so I am happy that went smoothly. I loved that phone and would have kept it but the S10+ has the extras I really wanted. I can’t imagine letting my S10+ go but if Samsung keeps the headphone jack in the S11’s and beefs up the in display FPS I will probably trade up.

Having said all that, I’ve got a pop socket on my Xr now to mitigate the pinky pain I had holding its chunky self and use it more than ever, now that I can hold it without eye watering hand pain again. It never lost its place as my main phone. The Pixel 3XL came so close to unseating it, too. But just wasn’t smooth and reliable enough.

The S10+ is smooth and reliable. And my family is actually switching over to Samsung now. Half among my nieces and nephews now are on Samsungs. My niece just proudly showed off her new S10 to me. Others are on S9 and S8 they got on sale.

So I don’t need iMessage as much as I used to. But I just can’t kick the Apple habit for some reason. iOS is very plain and doesn’t cater to me nearly as much as my Samsung Androids do and my Pixel does. I like my Samsung Active watch better for fitness and sleep tracking. But I don’t know...my inability to kick Apple to the curb even for experimental purposes is very annoying because I just can’t analyze it.

I got the iPad Mini 5 and it’s been my best little buddy lately. I just like Apple stuff even though there doesn’t seem to be a compelling reason to when I sit down and think about it. Maybe it’s brainwashing? Eh, I don’t know.

But I am not one to overthink things like this. I just use them and go on with things. I am very happy trade in deals have made all my current gear so very reasonably priced and affordable. I’m very content and settled nicely with what I have and the upgrade path that lies ahead.

Meaning I am looking forward to seeing the iPhones debuting this year. If Apple made the OLED displays compatible with my vision I will trade up for an OLED model with the crazy camera bump. If not, I’ll upgrade my Xr to get the second lens. One thing I probably won’t do is preorder. I have been spoiled silly by trade in deals, so I have to see what Apple offers when the time comes.

My big thing now is a massive spring cleaning project so I can make space for everything and lay it all out efficiently. I have some charging pucks I got for free from different deals that I haven’t even unboxed yet. So you all probably won’t hear much out of me for awhile. Also spring allergies have been keeping me slightly more quiet than usual. Achooo.

I am in that mid cycle, halfway through the new apple phone line that I always add an Android phone for the next 6 months. 6months of apple, 6 months of android.

I am trying to find a good priced:
S10E
S10
Pixel 3
Maybe the Pixel 3a?

S10E is $550 at BB but requires another line it seems...pass.
Missed the Fi deal for the Pixel.
S10 prices aren't dropping fast enough for me.
3A may be the one but I REALLY need wireless charging.

Hmmmmmmmmmmm

100% agree on not leaving Apple. I have the s10+ and I’m yet to find fault with it but for some reason I can’t let go of my iPhone either. I don’t need 2 phones and feel the Samsung is superior in most departments. Maybe the iPhone is like a comfortable pair of old slippers you just don’t want to let go

I'm the same.

I have been flirting between the S10 Plus (in ceramic which is stunning) and my XS Max. I find the S10 vibrant and exciting, whereas, I find the iPhone tried, tested, sample and stale.

I like a couple of things better on the XS; the clean feel of web browsing, the slow drop from 100% battery, password integration and iMessage/Facetime.

On the S10 side, I love the endless customisations, the screen, the true edge to edge display and the option for alternatives to stock apps.

The notifications are head to head but I do like the FaceID preview to notifications, too

I’m exactly the same. I didn’t bother getting the S10 this year because I tried the S7 edge, Note 8 and S9+ over the past 3 years. I had exactly the same experience. The Samsung phone was superior in many areas but I just couldn’t see the need to get rid of my iPhone and I couldn’t use two phones. I think the benefits of the ecosystem outweigh the hardware features of a Samsung phone. I wish I could use two phones but I can’t.
