Well, last night I pre-ordered the unlocked S10 in prism white 128G storage and the free earbuds, I’ll be trading in my S9 for 550, however, I didn’t see the 50$ credit for accessories in Samsung website. I had the reservation.

good point. I forgot about that... I didn't see that either. hmmm....

I wonder if we'll get a code that comes with our phones that has the $50 "pre-loaded" to purchase something down the road.

Honestly I would be tempted by the coral S10... alas, not available in the UK. Samsung don’t the usual and leaving the nest colours to the US.
You’d think that they didn’t have much market share over here, but Samsung phones are literally just as popular as iPhones over here now.

No doubt it’ll come out in three months as per all the good Samsung colours that the US get day one.
I am actually surprised the coral seems considered by you and @Shanghaichica as more desirable than the green you’re getting over there (you ARE getting green, aren’t you?). Over here the coral has been referred to as garish on the Samsung in an Android Central article and I’ve seen similar remarks around in regard to the similar coral color on the Xr.

The green seemed to be a much more anticipated color. Flamingo Pink kind of came out of nowhere. I ordered the color and even I wonder what the hell I was thinking. My retinas are going to burn when I put it next to my yellow Xr. Subconsciously, that probably was why I chose it.

Green is what my partner is ordering tomorrow

She thinks black and white is too boring lol

It'll certianly look good next to the yellow XR!

And yeah, we're getting green, which is good for us and does hark back to the old S7 (?) days where that green was very desirable.

EDIT: S6!
I'm just not sure if I'd want it in 2019...

I personally think that I will stick with my XR anyway. I am a little intrigued with what the Sony XZ4 looks like and wonder if a BlackBerry KEY3 will make an appearance this year...

What's a good timeframe to wait for reviews to see if the One UI is worth a shot and I can deal with the Samsung update schedule? I feel like waiting for WWDC would be quite a bit away.

There are already reviews of One UI on the note 9 and S9.

Is that sufficient enough though? I feel like with the new form factor, newer processor, more RAM (at least compared to the S9), display differences, and Samsung's hardware changes could contribute towards the S10E's feel. Not having an Iris Scanner could probably free up some small resources in the RAM? Not sure if it's a negligible difference though. Plus no gimmicky curved display means more resources available too?

Newer hardware will have no affect on the look of One UI, the S10 will look the same as the Note 9.

Its no different to say IOS 12 on the iPhone X and IOS 12 on the iPhone XS Max.

Not quite true. Samsung always has differ variations of the same UI when it comes to previous vs latest models. I can already spot plenty of differences on the S10's One UI from watching reviews compared to One UI on my S9+.

This is the first time I ordered a phone direct from Samsung. Feels weird saying this, but it felt good when they took the full amount from my card right away. When pre-ordering from carriers, you start to worry when they didn't charge your card yet and it's only a week left to official release, and the shipping date keeps changing.

There will be slight variations I'll give you that but the for the most part it will be the same. You're not going to come from a Note 9 on One UI to a S10 and feel a night and day difference.

Pre-ordered the S10+ in prism white 128GB. Free Galaxy Buds and trading in a Note 8 for $550. I'll take it!
that's exactly what i'm doing...except I'm trading in an S9. I wish apple was as nice with their trade in values! I can't say no to the new tech for a few hundred dollars.

What incentive is there to pre-order the S10E early? Any pre-order bonuses?

Just read that the S10 notification LED has been removed. Instead now the camera hole will light up depending on the notifications. Also the hole will be white when the camera is in use. Pretty cool.

I knew the camera ring lit up, but I didn't even think about the notifications light. Makes sense though, cause the top bezel is almost non existent.

You had to click in from the email, and then it wasn't really apparent. You just added a accessory and it zeroed it out of the final price.

The facial detection and camera notification LED in the front helps make the decision to go to the S10E a bit easier. I’ll see if Best Buy doesn’t have a restocking fee

I can't remember exactly where it showed up because their interface is absolute crap, but I think there appeared fine print on one of the pages explaining the accessory credit. I selected from the available accessories, which is a shorter version of the list of accessories they offer generally (fewer color options, almost everything basic black or white) and the credit was applied during the checkout process.

I did place a separate pre-order today for the Silver Active watch . Right now pre-orders for the watch gain you some kind of wireless charging pad that is usually about $50. I honestly don't even know what it was. I was just like "Yay moar free stuff." I was going to get the watch anyway.

I was planning on cancelling my pre order so I could let my husband be first in the queue ahead of me. He had ordered first but messed up his choice of case and got the wrong size. So he had to cancel and pre-order again. Well today he got a hold on his pre-order and it won't get processed until I send them my S9+. Unfortunately my pink phone doesn't ship until March 15th. His would have shipped on the 8th.

Even more unfortunately, if I were to cancel the pink now I could never get it during pre-orders. It is no longer offered as an option in the AT&T model.

I offered to take the ceramic white in 512GB instead but my husband said no. Oh well, I'm not the one who screwed up my order. He did say it was my fault he goofed up because I distracted him by cussing out their app. :p

Yes I was hoping for this feature inleau of notification LED, think I noted in a post previously

Well finally got order placed :) Dropped the ceramic white and went for Prism white being it gives me more options on Fold or Note 10 later :D

Also our bundle here was different to UK/USA with the Ceramics you got a free Samsung watch and screen crack protection but with the 10+ I get :

Free Galaxy Buds -White + Screen Protection + Screen Crack Warranty + Tab A7 -White

LOL
