I just cancelled my SE order. Really annoyed at seeing battery decay on my 2 month old 8+ that I barely use (to say nothing of iOS which is just ugh). I'll watch for reviews of the s10e (No curved screens for me and I'd rather move away from a larger phone/price point). Once there are non-trade in deals, I might consider an s10e.

The pearl white is very nice. I'll definitely be stalking it at Best Buy and the Verizon store.

Cannot wait to read everyone's reviews and how you like these phones.

If history is any guide, sometime in the late spring to early summer timeframe Samsung will run a special for $200 trade-in for any working smartphone.

My guess is that this year it will be $300.

S10E is a lesser phone, so no surprise the Max is better screen wise. However, I think I’ll get used to the S10E. Plenty of folks left their XS Max for the XR. I rather have more features than a larger screen Apple doesn’t maximize.

No, this happened with all of them. I tested a XS and a XS Max. The Max was much brighter than the S10+. Only when I opened up an HDR YouTube video could it match/exceed the Max in brightness. Just like the S9 and Note 9 phones.

Yeah, I know, speed tests are lame etc blah....

But here's one anyway :)

Notice how cartoony those icons look compared to the iPhone?
Me neither...

I never seen Subway Surfers load so fast on a Samsung device. That game was always Samsung's achilles heel when it came to these YouTube speed tests.

Exynos is one thing. I am curious to see how the S10E stands against the XS w/ 2 extra GB RAM? Especially with a Snapdragon 855. I think that speed tests are normally meaningless since processors are so good that you can do pretty much what you need in a phone. I have technically the "best processor" on the market, but I simply couldn't care about holding onto an iPhone much longer when I get my S10E. What good is the extra horsepower if you can't use it?

To me, it's a little bit surprising on the S10E that it couldn't do much w/ brightness. However, I am going to take a chance and see if the S10E works for me. Samsung made the changes I wanted: a flat screen flagship w/ near stock software performance.

I love speedtests and all the so called superfluous vids, I guess I'm a little empty and sad :D

Dammit. I just watched a couple YouTube videos and now I'm kind of wanting this phone. Do you all think it will be a huge loss in camera quality from the Pixel 3???

And do you think they would all ship faster than March 8th???

Ever since iOS 7's flat design movement, I thought most of the standard share of Apple icons were designed by a spastic designer.

Careful with that link, mate. DXO is either loved or hated by people on here. Usually the natives. Specifically when it goes for or against their favorite. ;)

I'd say that game (I think it is) is a bit different than synthetic tests.

It was actually designed in Word :p

Honestly all phone cameras are great nowadays, so you can't go wrong with any flagship camera.

Exactly! Ive been saying this too for the past 5 years but its not a big issue if you go to Samsung store you can buy or download free hundrerds of themes , icons , wallpapers and other. Problem solved.
[doublepost=1551069159][/doublepost]I am still wandering if i am buying s10+ or not?
[doublepost=1551069893][/doublepost]Samsung is very generous when it comes to tradeins. I was offered $900 for my s9+ 256 GB when i went to buy Note9 which is very good but then last minute changed my mind coz i thought s9 looks and feels better than N9.

Wonder how much Samsung will offer for my s9+ if i bought s10+.

Well this might possibly be the worst preorder blunder ever.

I decided to preorder the S10+ but for some reason the shipping address reverted to my old address. So I quickly cancelled my order thinking it would be an instant process and I can quickly reorder, but no. I'm showing "Cancellation Initiated". I contacted Samsung and they say that the actually cancellation will take place 48-72 hours and I'll see my authorization drop in 7-10 days. F that. I'm pretty pissed.

What was the ship date pushed out to by now? I was initially tempted with all the preorder bonuses and getting it on the 8th but I’m guessing it’s shipping much later if you order now.

It still shows the 8th which is cool. I'm torn after this whole ordeal now though. I really like the Pixel you sold me. I also already miss iOS after 3 days.

You will have to wait and see.

All flagship phones have good camera. Where the Pixels set itself apart is delivering instantly sharable and "perfect" photos in more scenarios than competitors. Hence why some tech vloggers keep using a Pixel along side other phones.

We have a iPhone XR in the house and it's good but in some conditions my 2017 Pixel2 noticeably ahead whether we're talking front or rear facing camera. Google's images processing is simply still ahead.

However, the new Samsungs have an ultra wide angle lens, 4K at 60fsp and super smooth video stabilisation are HUGE benefits that the Pixel 3 lack.

One of my barriers to pulling the trigger is that the release of the S10s is out of sync with the Note 10, Pixel 4 and iPhone 11. It's nice to make a choice when other alternatives are available at the same time. That aside, I think think of how Google and Apple can trump Samsung this year.

The S10 is truly an amazing line up of phones.

My cancellation took place in about an hour and my husband’s was about an hour, maybe less. That’s from initiation to the reception of the confirmation email. At any rate he was able to fix his messed up order quickly.

Lol it’s getting like the Apple forums in here. This section needs to be renamed ‘Samsung Shrine’. :D

Don’t say anything negative about this phone or you’ll get laughed at. Isn’t this hat everyone over in this section used to complain about from the iPhone section?

Anyway... do continue.

Yeah, not really seeing that here myself.

That is unless you just expect people to agree with every criticism?

The comparison isn't really quite accurate either.
I dont think anyone here is as hardcore and dismissive as some of the regular outspoken Apple troops, you know the ones.

Not what I'm saying.
It's the fact that someone has a criticism and rather than people just accept that others feel that way it's almost like they're berated for it.

Put it this way - I've posted here a long time and this is the first time on this section that I've felt like not posting criticism about something for fear of being shot down or told 'you don't like it so don't post here'.

Just my observation.

androidcentral.com have put a review after 3 days of using the S10.

Not really positive about the new fingerprint scanner.

Do you all think that Samsung can enhance this fingerprint scanner with software updates?
Or since this is hardware, it wont be really possible?

No device is perfect, I just think most of the posters in this thread are excited about the S10. What criticism are you referring to exactly?

Yeah a few people have not been impressed with it while others have said it works great. One review mentioned re-registering their fingerprints which fixed the issues. I guess we will all see in a few weeks. Im very positive about it as Flossy Carter's video actually showed him using it and it worked great throughout his video, he was impressed!
