HELP!

The Ceramic Black looks absolutely stunning but it's £1099! the 512GB storage would be handy but is it worth it over the regular black?

Is Ceramic more durable than the glass black? I heard ceramic can shatter...

Have you seen the Ceramic in person yet?

Went into Carphonewarehouse and they only had glass ones.

Ceramic is meant to be more durable than glass.

Oh yeah. Coming from iOS, if I hadn't found a deal on the airpods, I never would have spent $150.

I think $100 price point would attract more people to them for sure.

Airpods had decent sound if you're not too picky. Should be interesting to see what the Galaxy buds sound like.

I’ll probably end up buying a pair if they hit $50 or less.

I can’t even warm up the idea about owning the S10 over the S10E.

Has anyone had a status update from Samsung about their device being shipped yet?

What’s the big deal with AirPods and Galaxy Buds anyways?

To me, the AirPods feel small and expensive. I also find the Galaxy Buds not incentivizing enough for me to pre-order a S10.

I prefer either using my Bluetooth Skull Candy headphones or a pair of wired headphones. I listen to a ton of sports podcasts daily. But I just don’t see the worthwhile to get AirPods or Galaxy Buds.

Can only speak for myself but the appeal in true wireless earbuds (no connecting wire) is primarily convenience. I have AirPods and do like them quite a bit--great battery life and a charging cases that is smaller than any competitor while also offering better recharging. They much more seamlessly switch between other Ape products when also work great with my Pixel 3 XL. I would absolutely love them if they had soft gel tips to create a better fit and in ear seal.

Consequently, I've been testing other true wireless (a Chinese third party, two different models from JLab, and Jabra elite 65t) primarily with the intention of being able to use them when active. Sound-wise, all but the Jabra’s are noticeably worse than the AirPods. If I was choosing only one for all types of use, it would’ve been the Jabras but for running/cycling/working out, the JLab Epic Air Elite are the ones I kept as the over ear

Chances are the galaxy buds will sound better since they offer more noise isolation than the AirPods do.

Wonder what google thinks with Samsung using the same naming convention.

To me, I wish they gave the Buds to the S10E people to make the price easier to swallow lol. A free pair would’ve been interesting to try.

But to me, $150+ tax on top of what I’ll pay? It defeats the purpose to leave my XS Max to go to a Galaxy since I am trying to save $.

Sure, the extra battery life, more RAM, telephoto lens, QHD display, heart rate sensor, FP sensor in the display would be nice. I also don’t like the curved display either.

The buds are $250 here, you will be lucky to get $150 once the phones released, eBay will be flooded with them.

Ceramic is more scratch resistant but also shatters easier than glass.

Galaxy S10+ Snapdragon 855 vs Exynos 9820

Expected since Snapdragon GPU is always better than the Exynos one.

Didn’t realize until looking at those renders that the ceramic frame is a sort of rose gold. Expected it to be stainless steel.
Stainless steel is worse because it scratches bad and looks glossy after a short period.

I think the Exynos 9820 performance is really inexcusable from a year to year performance improvement perspective. If you design your own Silicon, it should beat a 3rd party manufacturer you work w/ in select markets (US, Canada, China namely).

Exynos has been underclocked lately due to Qualcomm partnership with Samsung.

Heads up for those on the fence to pre-order the S10/S10+ from Samsung. You will no longer be able to get Galaxy Buds at launch. They're giving $130 gift certificates instead. So maybe you could just order some or just use the $ towards other accessories.

Wet finger works.
Plastic screen protector works.
Glass screen protector does NOT work.

Good thing I went for the S10E. No glass screen protectors is annoying. Plus, the Ultrasonic FP reader seems gimmicky to me over a capacity one.
