everyone i know uses glass

So your statement was based on people you know not the general public then

Given that plastic screen protectors weigh less and cost less I would imagine they are more popular and given with in screen finger print scanners plastic are clearly the better option

They are yes if you need a screen protector

The problem with glass is the grid dot pattern (not sure how to describe them) which gives a little blur. Plus the curve edges which tend to lift the glass off surface if you have a case on

Plastic has no such issue (especially newer self healing type - think called hydrogel).

Of course glass may give better knock protection.

Had a chance to check out the S10+ at a Verizon store today. So impressive! Love the more square form. Loved the One Ui.
They had only the Prism White on display and it looked really nice. I pre ordered the black and wish I had ordered the white!

Nice! I'm totally going to Best Buy tomorrow to play around. Assuming they really don't ship until the 8th I need a quick fix. Lol

I don't use screen protectors so i'm not fussed about the glass one not working but that's very positive news about the FPS, i can't wait for mine to arrive!!!

Same here , i stopped using them 4 years ago. Gorilla glass is doing its job perfectly.
Still not one single scratch on my old phone s7e and same goes to my s9+.

The Rhinoshield impact resistant one is made of some random polymers, whereas their glass one is only designed to keep your phone scratch free.

Who knows, it’s all marketing regardless, right?

Had tempered glass on my S7, tried it on the S9 but it wasn't worth a crap so got plastic. It's the curved edges that makes the glass protectors crappy and they don't stay on very well.
[doublepost=1551249548][/doublepost]Keeping my options open, I did sign up to preorder from Samsung. Went to TMobile today just in case I might do it,.... to see how much I owed on my S9 that I got on promotion for half off. Only owe $180 ($15 a month) but since I got it on promotion, TMobile won't let me pay it off early or it reverts that I'd owe $360 instead of the $180. So I can't upgrade anyways without paying on two phones which I'm not going to do.

I did play with the S10(don't want the bigger one) a bit while in there. Didn't feel worth upgrading anyways before I was told that by then. The camera is an upgrade and liked getting the buds but now I'll just wait for the S11.

I use glass on my Note 9, after I got micro scratches on my Note 8, I decided to give the UV glue, glass protectors a shot.
A pain to apply, but great if applied well.
The self adhesive type protectors I tried were rubbish.
