No issues with the review to me, again I will argue against Samsung's update schedule being on point. But maybe that is just me being bitter that I will likely receive the S10 Plus before I get Pie on my note.

They’re on point with security patches, which makes a difference for businesses and organizations that rely on “secure” phones. Knox is also there in addition. In terms of major OS updates, Samsung is really slow. But we are at a point where major OS updates won’t necessarily make or break the user experience. If you prefer timely major OS updates, iPhone/Pixel/OnePlus will cater to that.

Forgive me for the dumb question, but I'm curious. Does The Galaxy phones incorporate app shortcuts now if you long press on them? Like for example, if I long press on Spotify, I can search or immediately have the option to jump to my last 3 listened albums. Same with Maps where I can jump to Work and Home.

Got to say I’m leaning towards the wall E one as my background for home screen would go well with night mode

I hear ya, I am just on December security patch on their latest flagship phone, and it is now March. Not on point to me, but I do understand that a lot of people are now on February security patch. I will have the new phone before I see a security update.

I went to order today and they were sold out. Asked the live chat people how long typically it takes them to restock -- they aim for 8hrs if anyone was having the same issue. It was just a query as the chat button is right there.

Unprompted, they decided to throw in a free LED cover for the 'inconvenience'. Pretty nice gesture considering they've done nothing wrong. The LED covers are £55 according to the website. :)

Oh crap, is that the latest Note 9 US Snapdragon factory unlocked model? Well, I guess then I am mistaken. I settled for that one for the S10E. Didn't want to bother with T-Mobile bloat.

Not a dumb question at all. Yep, Samsung has app shortcuts via long-press. It helps mimic 3D Touch from iOS. Makes the switch to an Android device much more attainable.

Are you talking about the 128gb models? I’m still undecided about getting one but it’s been a couple of days since they slipped back to shipping on March 14.

Yes mate, the 128gb models.
I just think the pre-order is a really good deal. More than competitive trade-ins, free buds, factory fitted screen protector, and now in my case a free £55 accessory. They were doing interest-free credit too last week. I think a lot of people may have jumped on that hence the limited supply, and it seems to have disappeared from the website.

I'm not really in a rush to get it. If you are I suspect you'll be able to pick one up at a load of places on launch day albeit with fewer extras.

After going back on the site, I realise that you meant actually out of stock and not just a delayed shipping date after launch. Maybe it’s worth seeing if they offer me anything. lol

The interest free is still available via the upgrade programme. I’m just annoyed I didn’t make use of the 10% Quidco cashback last week.

Have they changed the sides of the curve on the new s10's compared to the s9's? Hard to tell.

So I checked my phone's order status. The option to cancel disappeared. Maybe that means my phone is close to being shipped?

What sets Swiftkey above other keyboards is it’s word prediction, it can literally save thousands of key taps.

It’s almost magic how the keyboard knows what you want to type. Whilst other keyboards do prediction they’re no where near as accurate.

Once it learns your style it can literally complete entire sentences for you regularly.

Interesting! I used SwiftKey for a few months, but that was many years ago. I'm sure it's improved since then. I'll have to try it out again.

I know, it’s great isn’t it? It’s one of the 1st apps I install on any phone. No others come close, imo.

If you're talking about the radius of the curve then at least between the Note 9 and the S10 there is a clear difference. Not sure if the Note 9 and S9 have the same radius tho.

I tested them immediately after each other a few days ago and I really went "Wow!" when I picked up the Note 9 at how much space its curve eats up compared to that of the S10. I don't love the curve idea a whole lot and that put me off from getting the Note 9, but the S10 curve I could definitely live with.
