Damn is everyone having this many problems with the FPS? Seems like I've only seen extreme opinions (It's fantastic/It's Horrible) but nothing in between.

My S10+ just arrived. Terrible pink shift at slight angles. Peeled away the screen protector so it isn't that. The demo phone I tried in Best Buy had no shift at all. So frustrating. POS is going right back to Verizon.

I noticed that my husband’s note 8 now has super slow motion. It’s nice to see them porting back features to older devices.

I did cancel my pre order but I’m still considering getting the S10 plus. I just wanted to see the reviews and see people’s opinions to make a better decision rather than just because I was wowed by the unpacked event.

I’ve seen a lot of reviews say the camera isn’t improved from the S9 plus (minus the wide angle lens) but all the pictures I’ve seen so far have been stunning.

Pink shift does crop up on all Samsung made OLED in iPhone, Pixels, and their own phones. It is a defect, in my opinion—can’t speak for Verizon, but good ones outnumber the bad, so give it another go.

They managed to stamp out pink shift pretty well on the S9 and I think the Note 9 but this year they did some tweaks to the display so may have reintroduced the potential for pink stain to make a reappearance.

My S9 was perfect, agree. I'm not sure I want to bother with the exchange cycle and may just return it. Whenever an issue like this pops up and I bring it in, the store reps look at me like I have 3 heads. It's insulting and irritates me even more haha. It's why I always try to order online.

I'd have to respectfully disagree with iPhone's. Apple has the most LCD'ish OLED there is. No hues when viewing white screens whatsoever.

Now Android OEM's, forget about it, might be better off finding a unicorn.

Yes but I've seen it on iPhones unfortunately.

They should have kept the intelligent scan (iris and facial recognition). It worked really well. Just as Apple should have kept Touch ID along side Face ID.

No room in the hole punch or pill cutout for those sensors, I'm guessing. All that hardware has to go somewhere. If people don't want a bezel or notch, compromises have to be made.

That's nonsense. Looking at my XS Max now and a slight tilt results in a slight blue shift, easily noticable. Colleague sitting right next to me has the same result.

Do the same thing on my Pixel 3XL and it's there as well but less noticable.

None of these displays are perfect.

I saw an S10 at work earlier; didn’t get chance to properly play with it but it looked quite nice. The camera lens wasn’t that noticeable either, I felt, but the new One UI icons looked a bit cartoonish; but that was only a very brief look.

FPS will get better with updates...it’s first gen so won’t be perfect I think people need to do more than one FP for the finger they use the most which seems to help.

Meanwhile smart switch still on. 99.9%

I have no idea what to do if it’s like this for another hour like before.

Still, you'll have people complain about it not being so good because they paid $1000 for a phone. If you're paying $1000 for a device with first-gen tech, it's not going to take you to the moon and back. User error will also be a huge contributing factor for the ultrasonic sensor.

Lol. The evolution of this thread

"Everything is awesome!"

...

"Everything is broken!"

I had my device Day Zero pretty much. My dislikes with the software are purely personal and nothing wrong with the device itself. So far, it's good. My only lone long-term concern is that MMSes don't send quick enough with wifi. They're fine with cell signal. I may have to get one of those cell spots. I am 95% likely to keep this device for the long-haul. I wanted something better than my XS Max for cheaper. That's what I got. We are only 1 day in. 6 months from now, many will be excited with their S10 family purchase.

Had mine for a couple hours now, have to say I love it. It is by far the most polished android phone I've ever had, this is iPhone level polish. From physical build to software, everything has been refined and polished.

Minor gripes are the side fingerprint reader is going to need some time getting used to, really wish they had stuck with the back reader. Also not sure how the polished aluminum is going to hold up over time. Love the look and has been very durable on my iPhone XS, but that's stainless steel and this is aluminum.

Those in UK anybody claimed their buds yet? Easy to do?

Just spent the last 1.5hrs going through the process. Not hard in itself but getting constant "down for maintenance" pages at every step. Might have to leave it until the morning. So frustrating as I got to the last step at one point only for it to completely throw a fit.

Phone is nice though!

My XS max has quite a pink shift. Got over it eventually but my previous Note 9 has no such thing. I almost wanted to go to the XR because of the shift but got a 256 GB XS Max for 1k on Swappa so it was worth it. Went to Apple to exchange it but the genius said he did not see the pink shift (the lights were too bright imo).

IMO I like LCD more than OLED. Far more consistent.
