The regular S20 is definitely the sweetest spot, best bang for the buck. And Samsung knows this, thus they don't give options for larger storage for it, forcing people to spend more money for the + or ultra if they want larger storage.

I was considering S20+ but having SD card in S20 is what secured my decision to order the smaller device.

Just toss a SD card in there. Problem solved

One thing to keep in mind is that the S20+ also has the 5G mmWave antennas and has the Time of Flight sensor. The ToF sensor will allow it to use some apps that the S20 can’t use. Like some AR apps.
However I have this sensor on my Note and totally forget it’s there. So I decided to not factor it into my decision. And AT&T doesn’t have mmWave deployed anywhere as far as I know. I don’t want to pay to use it right now even if they did have it around here. I do barely get any signal at all in some places I go. I can’t walk in the next neighborhood because I get no signal whatsoever. And I found out yesterday there’s no AT&T signal at a new friend from school’s house. They aren’t in a rural area like I am. They’re in a sizable town. I just don’t get it.

I’d love to try other services and see what they offer but my husband says Verizon doesn’t work well at his office. We aren’t quite sure what to make of T Mobile at the moment. We had them and had terrible coverage but that was years ago.

It’s certainly interesting to see reviews of the S20. It seems like a solid phone, yes I’m an iPhone user, but if I hadn’t brought the 11 Pro Max last year I would seriously be considering the S20 in that really nice looking blue colour ?

The thing is Samsung seem to be making solid hardware, their software also seems to be getting better (I remember Touch Wiz on the S4, it was terrible). The Note 11 or 20 (whatever they call it) will be interesting.

I’m not tempted by the ultra but note 20 is the phone that will certainly push my temptations. This camera tech with S pen and likely other features and maybe a bigger screen? Say 7 inches may make it too hard to pass up….

If apple don’t bring out

120hz
Reverse wireless charging- not a big deal but still a feature they are expected to add
Better zoom
Camera improvements with better image quality- although expected

120hz/bigger sensors/ better wide angle is all expected though

Then I will seriously be tempted by the note 20….but the issue lies with apple watch. That’s not something I feel I could give up….imessage too and family sharing albums e.t.c.

Also music via galaxy watches and the buds aren’t anywhere near as good as air pods and music on apple watch.

I want to be like some here who rock two phones but that’s not an option.

Pro max and note line would be my choice of phones no doubt if I could.

This is exactly my issue, i would love to try a Galaxy Note, but i have everything with Apple, when i say everything i mean:

iPhone 11 Pro Max
AirPods Pro
Apple Watch
iPad Pro
HomePod
iMac 2012 (STILL waiting on Apple to redesign the iMac before updating)
MacBook Pro 2019
Apple TV

With all of those devices i also have Apple Music, 50GB iCloud storage and Apple TV+ (altho that's the 12 month free trail because i brought the 11 Pro Max iPhone).

I would love to try something different, maybe alongside my Apple devices? that is currently the plan with the Surface Neo when it launches. I'm deep in the Apple ecosystem.

I've slowly removed myself from Apple's ecosystem. I no longer use any iCloud services, nor apple TVs. I still use an iPad and Macs, but they don't tether me to the ecosystem as a whole like iCloud, etc do.

My issue is that I actually like how my Apple Watch works, and I've yet to find an android equivalent that I like.

Also - I have to agree with the above. I had my heart set on the S20 Ultra - I tried one out in store yesterday (albeit with a broken display after such little time!) - it's way too big. I'm glad I haven't pre-ordered.

I have the same issue. I loved the note 10+ and I’ll happily admit that it’s better than my iPhone 11 Pro Max. It’s the ecosystem that I will struggle to leave behind. On top of all the devices I own too many movies and TV shows that will only play on an Apple device or windows pc.

And i think Apple know this, the ecosystem is probably designed around this. For me it's not just the software, the iPad Pro is a device i use daily and love to use, there is nothing that really competes with it. The chip in the 2018 iPad Pro is a beast that beats even some laptops.
Also i love my Apple Watch, no other smartwatch is as good (yet).

The Galaxy Watch Active 2 is on par with the Apple Watch and actually looks more like a watch. I'm really impressed by it so far.

Have you used SD card on Android? SD card on Android is practically useless now as most apps cannot be moved to SD card. Things like burst shots cannot be recorded on SD card either. Booting up the phone also becomes slow as most SD cards are just too slow compared to UFS.

Telling people to substitute internal storage with SD card is, well, an outdated answer.

But I like being able to watch my stuff on my phone and tablet if I want to. Apple just need to get the Apple TV app on android. I already have a fire TV stick which has the Apple TV app on it. Although I prefer to use my chromecast even over my Apple TV because I can be lazy and initiate playback using my voice via my home hub.

I had the galaxy watch when I had the note 10+ but I have to admit the galaxy watch active looks nice. A lot better looking than the Apple Watch and the interface looks better than it does on the galaxy watch.

It depends what you want to store on the SD cars. Burst shots aside, it’s perfect for photos and videos, music and movies. Which frees up the internal storage for apps. A lot of the apps like Netflix and amazon prime allow you to download content to the SD card for off line use.

To be fair 128GB would be enough storage for most people. I’m currently using 133GB of storage on my 256GB 11 pro max. However I have music and some videos and TV shows stored on my phone. I could manage an android phone with 128B plus an SD card for my media. I also have an iCloud subscription but could easily have another cloud subscription like Google One or whatever it’s called now.

I think most people would be fine with 128GB of storage. If you need more and don’t want to use an SD card than you can get the 512GB ultra.

I don’t know if I will be able to hold out until the note but I really should at least wait as one of my big criticisms of the iPhone is the lack of Apple Pencil support. But that camera and the big screen is so tempting.

I know Apple Pencil support was rumoured with next iPhone...think you should wait lol as if you get note you know you will get the same camera improvements from the ultra

I’m waiting to keynote and seeing what Apple bring out...I regretted getting S10 plus for this reason.

By time new iPhone rumours are basically guaranteed that’s when we will know the most...

Not really sure other than that it's a bit thinner. And has the spinning bezel without the spinning bezel.
I just did a quick search it seems Samsung sorted out the sensors so they are now accurate. I've never used an Apple watch so I don't know what exactly makes it so much better then Android equivalents.

I'm a huge Apple Watch fan and I can honestly say that the Watch Active is in the same league. The only annoyance is that I had to tweak some settings and the option to mute your connected phone like the Apple Watch does was kind of buried in the settings.

Interesting. I love my gear S3 Classic as it looks like a real watch but I just assumed the Apple Watch was superior in functionality going off many posts here.

I’m basing my experience off the galaxy watch. Apps for me were not good and music connection for the gym I thought was bad compared to the apple watch. There’s no watch faces for text messages/ activity stats or no good sport score apps on galaxy watch…that to me puts it in a league of it’s own compared to the galaxy watch. From my knowledge this hasn’t changed?

I'm not sure to be honest. I never used my Apple Watch faces to show that info. I keep my watch faces simple. I knows there is an ESPN app and you can test from your watch. I have the LTE version so guessing it'll work fine in the gym.

So basically it's the apps that are not as good. I find the watchfaces are awesome on the galaxy watch, there are heaps to choose from.
