Shape and design, amount of on-board ram

That's what i meant, outdated shapes and design can be a turn off for many but of course not for all

Can't get enough of the zoom feature

Wow the very first pic is the best of all. Even after zooming 3 or 4 times you can see clearly the fine details.

If someone whine and complained continuously about the phone he bought absolutely nothing wrong if you make suggestions for him.

Oh and ...no need for that childish tone and language here 🙂

Ausomesince86 has been complaining back and forward about the size and camera, so a fellow member made suggestions, nothing wrong with that.

I thought telling others what should or shouldn't like trumps everything ? Mmm interesting Lol
I'll leave it for others on here to make sense of what you just said.

you dont like the opinions or advice that I'm giving out, then ignore it or better yet put me on ignore.

I can assure you your post was very informative and to the point and thats why i was following your posts , likes them and tried to help you also decide with your choices. If you remember i say to you if you are not happy with the ultra don't burn your money. Sorry if thats how you felt.

Well now I feel bad. Fair enough, deleted my post.

If you think ergonomics only takes into account weight then you're wrong. Ive used plenty of heavy phones and I just switched from a Pro Max. I never complained about the Ultra being too heavy in general, I said its too TOP heavy. You hold the phone from the bottom adn the distribution of weight is at the top which amplifies it. Pretty simple.
Would be interested how you measured the distribution (Centre of Gravity) of both phones to establish one is more biased to the top ?

Hint: A simple fulcrum test would be a good indicator :) than just holding the phone at the bottom

No need to measure it. If you hold the phone it's very obvious.
The Ultra is ~6% longer yet the Pro max is only ~2% heavier so the CoG of the Ultra is further away from the bottom even if both were identical even distributions

Part of what your feeling opposed to measuring is due to length

I am not saying your perception is wrong, just its not simple :)

The Pro Max and Ultra weight feels equivalent when naked.

Both with a back case on, the Ultra feels heavier. I think it's the extra thickness of the ultra that makes it feel such, cause both back cases are super light and thin.

I've read various forums about this, but want to also ask here. Anyone with the S20 notice the blinking white pixel toward the top center of the screen during phone calls (not on speaker phone)? Apparently it is the proximity sensor doing its thing and it does go away when you use speaker phone for calls. I thought my S10e had this, but could have sworn my first S20+ did not do this.

My S20+ is doing this also, so think it's normal.

I wouldn't have sent the buds back
New phone arrived Tuesday, I promptly sent back the defective S20+ and Buds+ which were received by Samsung yesterday. They still sent the cover from the pre-order promo after my return was initiated, delivered yesterday.

Wasted 1 hour with phone support today and yesterday combined. Was told at first that since my original phone was black and new one is gray, they can't honor original promo. OK. Tell me what to do with your case that you sent me after the return was generated? Some "back department" was too busy or closed yesterday and the rep couldn't connect me and gave me a case number.

Today a new rep said that they will honor the $200 pre-order promo (it was actually $180 or 185, I'm not complaining) once they receive all of the items back, and after the 15 day return period ends on the new S20+. I have to send the case back, I can't just keep it. I'll believe it when I see it, but she said the promo code will be emailed to me and honored because original phone was defective. Complex solutions to simple problems...

I already got a Spigen case from Amazon. If I get $200 in credit I may use it on the Galaxy Watch Active 2. Cautiously optimistic it'll work out in the end.

Wow Sʌᴍsᴜɴɢ CS is freaking terrible.

S20 JUST ARRIVED...
I just received my S20 (non-plus/non-Ultra) in blue yesterday and am super impressed with it. I love the size and shape (flattened screen). The S20 feels very comfortable in the hand. It is very quick and intuitive. Samsung makes the best screens. While I still think the iPhone 11 is one of the best phones of all time, yes I said it, this S20 is a keeper if the battery life is close to the iPhone 11. Samsung knocked it out of the park with the S20.

That sounds like my experience with customer service as well. They told me once they get the defective phone back it takes about a week before I can re-order and use the promotion again.

I actually just got an email from support confirming that they will email me a $150 promo code. I'm not going to argue over $35 (my pre-order promo was $185) it's not worth the time, and I don't need an over-priced 1st party case anyway. Will apply it toward Buds+ or a watch and be happy.

About to send off my Pixel 4 XL to complete the trade in. Hope it goes smooth. I'm actually a little sad haha. Aside from OS version updates, this S20+ blows away the Pixel in every other way for me. Time will tell if this phone survives the 3-ish months I usually keep Samsungs. There's always something about Pixels that keeps me coming back. At least I know I won't be in the market for the 4a when it launches. I was not a fan of the 3a after awhile when I had it. Will wait and see what the 5 has to offer, if anything.

Battery life has improved now that I'm into full day 3 with the S20+ and have all apps optimized. Previously I was down to 82% after 1 hour of screen time. Today so far I'm at 1 hour and 5 mins including 12 mins of Mario Kart break, and I'm at 88%. That's very good, imo.

*EDIT- just got the promo code email and they gave me $200. Score!

That's the problem with cheap phones :D :D :D :D :D

Spend $1500 or more and you get this :

I have used Samsung care for my phone and after calling just before midnight, they followed up the next morning with a call to confirm a "Runner" would be at my location between 2pm and 3pm. He arrived with a small pelican case for my phone, gave me a loan Note 9 and said they would be in touch when repaired. I received an sms by 6:30pm that it was repaired. Then same process next day a "runner" turned up with my phone.

Like Apple care Samsung support varies country to country :)

WOW...got the S20+ a little while ago. Used the Ultra and the Plus side by side a little. There is quite a difference in ergonomics for me. The Plus is so much easier to hold for me and doesn't feel as top heavy as the Ultra does.
It is a little thinner and lighter. I will keep the Plus and sell the Ultra. Not gonna ding the Ultra for its size. I knew it was big phone and ordered it anyway...lesson learned.
How have you been enjoying the 20+?
