Phones Samsung Galaxy S20 / S20+ / S20 Ultra

Man im so pumped my regular S20 (cloud blue in UK) arrives today to replace my iPhone 11 pro, not used android in sooo long as a daily driver but I think Samsung has really nailed it so cant wait to set it up tonight. Your post gives me life!
I’m getting updates, I just haven’t paid attention to what they were supposed to update, though. 🤪
I guess because I don’t really have any specific complaints I’m looking to get fixed. And we had to quickly adjust a lot of things as everything is starting to close down and we are losing direct access to elderly family members we look after.
The camera performance isn't something I'm examining that closely anymore, to be honest. I did notice on a couple of close up photo attempts, got a more shallow depth of field than I would normally like. But I think I could turn that to my advantage when I get the luxury of playing more with it.
Anyway, I'm glad my unlocked phone is at least getting updates, whatever they may be for.
I did use my rewards points toward buying a pair of red earbuds plus. I did that last week, actually, but never mentioned it. They are supposed to arrive toward the end of the month. I could have gotten a blue pair sooner but I really liked the candy apple red color and thought it would look nice with my pink phone.

Just got my S20 plus, setting it up now. Right away the ergonomics are 100x better. Still a big phone but not as cumbersome to use as the Ultra. Also the lighter weight is very noticeable.
It's a huge grave. Never been inside, but I've flown my drone over it a few times.
Everytime I'm in NYC I mean to go there to appease my parents, but I'm not one to visit cemeteries and look at graves. lol
I am the same way. I would rather visit the memories in my heart than a place in the ground.
But my family chides me for not paying respects at thr family burial plot.
Having weird issues with this s20 plus so far. Cant add cards to Samsung Pay and RCS Chat wont finish setting up. Had no issues with my Ultra.
Did you sign out of RCS on the ultra before sending it back? I think there is like an 8 day delay if not. I had issues with mine too. I ended up having to force stop the app, clear data from it and when I tried again it worked. Glad you're liking the new size more. I'm holding strong with the ultra but my pinky has been sore towards the end of the day each day since getting it.
Yeah the issue was I didn't sign out of RCS on my Pixel before switching over. It's wasn't an issue going from my Ultra back to my Pixel so no clue why it was this time. But it's working now.
The size feels so much better. It's crazy how thin the s20 plus feels compared to the Ultra.

Got my ultra 2 days ago no issues for me on the size feels great with the uag plasma case. I don’t get any top heavy ness either the phone rests on one finger perfect if you check the balance of the phone.......
camera i haven’t tested much yet but I did detect the focus issues which I can understand could be a pain in the arse if your purpose is to take pics of kids. If your willing to just line up ure shot and take a couple pics the pics came out great of my Labrador. Way better than the s10 line.
buttery smoothe with the 120hz I should mention I got big hands so I can understand if ure more on the normal to small side that u may find it too tall.

So as some of you may remember, I won a free iPhone and returned the Ultra. Talk about a return nightmare. Turns out that when I initiated return, I was supposed go initiate the return on all of items including preorder bonus accessories. Their system is completely confused because I put all of the items in one box. It’s been in their warehouse since Wednesday and they have no clue when I’ll see a refund because of this. I finally asked them to just ship it back to me but they can’t do that. Aaargh.
I just returned my Ultra and included everything in one box. Not sure how else I would do it since their was only a single return label. So hopefully I don't run into the same issue.
Wait, are you saying you only initiated a return for the phone but sent all the items back?
That’s correct. I didn’t check all the items because I swear that I did it that way in the past. So they’re all confused because God forbid they see all the items in the box, look up my return and say “oh he sent everything back, let’s quickly fix that”
So far I like the s20 plus much more than the ultra. It's so much thinner and more comfortable to hold and frankly still a big phone. The only negatives I see so far are battery life is only going to be average with 120hz on. But I'm also in the early days where usage patterns haven't caught on yet which will improve things. The other is the camera, while better than the Ultra right now, still struggled with moving objects. That's just a Samsung thing that seemingly will always be a problem.

yeah...Samsung does a lot of great things...but customer service is not their forte in my experience
I’ve had my ultra for a few days now. I’ve had no issue with it and I like the refresh rate and flatter screen but i have been wondering if it’s worth keeping. I don’t begrudge the £1400 price tag but I can’t help but feel the difference between the note 10+ and ultra doesn’t really justify additional cost to me
