Right! He's dismissing and making excuses for the ads on the iPhone, but acting as if it's a problem on other platforms. The funny thing is, he erroneously stated Galaxy S21 has them in the system apps, which it doesn't. Meanwhile, there's literally ads in an actual system app on the iPhone...but of course, that's not a problem for him. It’s an Ad, free or not. It’s offering you something = Ad.
Dude, I love love love LOVE iPhones. But I have to keep it real, I've run into mediocre software, lag, heat issues, battery drain and even a bit of bloat on iPhones, too. This is not the hill to die on. There isn't any hill to die on. They're both really good products. Neither is perfect. But they are computers we can carry around with us. They're also cameras. They are all of my childhood tech dreams come true. It's not necessary to champion one over the other. Some people will find their needs better met by one or the other. And that's great. Choices are fantastic. And these are both the best of the best choices.Lol, one does not go from the best to, bloat mediocre software, lag, heat issues, battery drain, fragmented mess.
Back when I had my order open for the brown, they were on track to ship on the 16th at the earliest. That was for the unlocked versions of all the size choices at the time.Anyway, back on track. Has anyone received their exclusive colour option yet?
I wanted the brown, but that wound up being the difference between me getting it on the 27th versus the 12th. Considering I like the black a lot too, I wasn't willing to wait that much longer for the brown.Back when I had my order open for the brown, they were on track to ship on the 16th at the earliest. I saw the navy posted on a different forum, its stunning:Back when I had my order open for the brown, they were on track to ship on the 16th at the earliest. That was for the unlocked versions of all the size choices at the time.
That looks great!I saw the navy posted on a different forum, its stunning:
Yeah. Wow. That's gorgeous. I wish I could have one in each color! So, some people did receive theirs already, wow. Thanks for posting your find. It's a shame the Apple and Samsung's own product displays on their sites never include photos like this. They'd sell more of their special colors for sure.I saw the navy posted on a different forum, its stunning:
Have to call this out, that is not a ad lol?Ads inside an optional app is one thing (heck I didn't even know it was there on my phone besides in Samsung Pay...that's how out of the way it is). But ads inside the actual UI is another. I have to agree with you. This is appalling, and Apple needs to do better. On a device as expensive as an iPhone, there's no reason you should have to look at ads when you're doing something as simple as going into your settings.

Yeah but how often do people go into settings v ads in samsung apps. Be serious they are not spam ads. They're ads for paid services and putting them in Settings to avoid seeing them is about as low as you can go. Fortunately, on Big Sur you only see those nag ads in apps like Apple TV, Music, News, etc. which I believe you can drag to the trash but you can't get rid of Settings.

lol, an app for an app with ads, it's a apathon.Settings is essential and unavoidable. Non-essential apps are avoidable since you can ignore, remove, disable or replace with a different app. It's the lowest of low to hide ads in Settings. That's like putting ads on the front door of your house vs only on TV.
Anyone use a NexDock? That 360 looks nice!
That's the thing though, comparing optional apps to something that's unavoidable is an apples to oranges comparison (no pun intended). The only Samsung app I use that has any ads in it is Samsung Pay, and they actually fit what the app is for. Beyond that, I don't have any Samsung apps that show me ads, and I don't have to see them in any built-in UI parts of the OS. Placing ads somewhere in the phone that there is nothing you can do about it, is an entirely different story.Yeah but how often do people go into settings v ads in samsung apps.
