I assume that amoled = pwm, is that right?
Yes, I believe so. However, it doesn't necessarily mean migraines and eye strain will be a foregone conclusion. I honestly never know how it is going to go with any new release that uses OLED displays. But pray with me here, and cross fingers and toes, I do hope I will be able to use the new display on the S22 Ultra with no difficulty and I hope you and others will also be able to.

So far, my extreme negative physical reactions to OLED have been restricted to iphone displays. I've even had problems with a couple of their LCD displays.

And the only time I've had problems with my Android OLED displays has been when I was in recovery from an iphone display making me really sick. So far that's happened with the iphone XS Max and the iphone 13 Pro. Those two displays triggered such hypersensitivity that I had to reduce my use or avoid altogether all OLED displays for close to a month.

Currently I am on my Pixel 6 Pro.

I don’t know anymore what color or storage size. I’m only using 38 GB out of 256 GB on my Pixel 6 Pro. But my Samsung is close to the 256 gb mark. System and other files take up close to 90GB. So for the Samsung I’d want 512 GB even if I move every photo and video currently stored on the phone.

I don’t know what colors 512gb models will be sold in my region…if at all for unlocked. If it’s just black I may just have to get that even if I’m more interested in a lighter color after my Xr and Pixel being black and grey-black.

I don’t like having to worry about storage.

I don’t know when preorders begin. I’ll have to see if I can find an estimate of that.

Is it just me, or does anyone else find it harder to pick the color of a new phone (which will end up in a case) than it is to pick the color of a new car that costs tens of thousands of dollars?
I only got to pick out car colors once when I was 25 and having a car made to order since the dealership was out of stock. I still have that car and it's sort of blue with a hint of teal. It's a weird color that was popular in the 90's. It needs a little bit of work to run again but that's due to pandemic neglect. I had no trouble picking that color!

Every car I've had since then...all two of them, lol, were hand me downs. One chosen by my dad and one chosen by my husband. My husband would let me have a say in his car color choices, since those cars actually end up being the family vehicle. But I don't see a need to weigh in on it. I just don't care. I care more about the interior, if there's a chance to pick, I will. But the last two...we had to take what we could get since he bought one used and the other was a deal off the lot.

Even though I use cases the colors of the phones matter to me because I also take the cases off to admire them. They aren't just utilitarian to me. I appreciate the color and the design.

If I space weren't a concern and if I had money to burn, I'd keep most of them just to look at. But I don't have that kind of space and I don't have that kind of money. So I trade in some gorgeous phones like my pink Galaxy S20. That was such a beautiful phone.

I still haven’t decided on a colour  I’m just hoping the website doesn’t crash, like with the iPhone pre-orders. I’m also hoping I can pre order one for release date.

I’ll go 256GB I think, same as my S21 Ultra.

I’m going 512GB mainly due to how much the system uses on my Samsung phones

Are you people abandoning the iPhone(s) again?
I’m still using my iPhone, however the S22 Ultra will be my primary phone and the iPhone will only be used for certain apps.

Apple have gotten stale in my opinion, I love using my S21 Ultra, in my opinion It’s better than my iPhone.

Interesting question.

People switching over to the latest and greatest Android only to come back to the iPhone when the new one is released. But I’ve abandon the iPhone years ago and I don’t see myself returning anytime soon.

Stale? Not sure if that’s the correct word choice. Because it’s a method that has helped the iPhone become such a huge success. I like the iPhone and I don’t know about any Android phone being better than it… it’s mostly about preference.

I find the argument between the two is similar as chocolate or vanilla… some prefer chocolate over vanilla or vice vera. I don’t take issue with those who choose the iPhone over Android, but when it comes to ”which one is better.” Its more so trying to validate why that individual has chosen the iPhone over Android.

When in reality is… both platforms are incredibly good and perfectly acceptable for any user.

I keep both an Android phone and an iPhone. I can't see myself ever going to just one or the other.

I plan to use the Samsung Galaxy S22+ for work. I have an iPhone 13 mini for managing my family's Apple services.

Honestly, I think the electronic device that gets the most use from me is my iPad. Although I don't even know what version of iPad I have. It is one of the older iPad Air models as opposed to one of the new iPad Air models.
