Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra/Note 22 Ultra

I'm more excited about the new Tab S8 ultra. Thing looks really productive. That camera still could have been placed on the bezel. Weird choice. But luckily on the side in portrait mode.

It looks awesome but holy hell is that a big tablet. The whole point of a pro tablet is supposed to be its portable but can act as a faux laptop when a keyboard is added. I’ve gone agains the grain and I’ve actually joined the iPhone side recently. I’m sure in a lot of ways the S22 Ultra will be the best phone out there. And I hope the cameras are especially great. It’s always good to push the competition. But as of right now, for the first time ever, I am very satisfied with the iPhone.
But as a tech nerd, I’ll definitely be watching the Samsung release tomorrow.
I always liked the Mystic Bronze Note 20U even though I bought the white version. This burgundy S22U looks great and is so tempting but I just got a Sierra Blue iPhone 13 Pro from work and still enjoy my Fold 3. Even though I love my Fold 3 I do miss a slab Android phone. The Note 20U was amazing and I traded it in for the Fold 3.
Girlfriend needs to replace her aging Note9, think the Note22 Ultra looks like the perfect replacement..

If I could only keep one device, it'd be the iPhone, as of today. That said, I really enjoy Android too!
I still think it's usable in portrait and landscape mode. In my case I like to do webbrowsing from the couch and also watch YouTube or Twitch while doing it. With that large screen it's easily possible to do that while using split screen.
I’m so tempted to pre order the regular S22. I like the design more than the ultra, but the ultra is going to have all the goodies. I’m really happy with my iPhone 13 pro max, and I know that I’d miss it if I switched, but I’m still tempted to do it anyway lol. One UI is a beautiful UI too and, it really suits bigger phones.

Me too, I think this is better tho. I already have a charger and I don’t need a smart tag.
One thing I have run into time and time again is that via the Shop Samsung app and the Shop Samsung site is that phones as a product are NOT accessible on an iPhone!
I just confirmed this again comparing the Shop Samsung App on iOS to the ones on my S21 Ultra and Pixel 6 Pro. You can get to older phones on the website. I’m not sure how easy it will be to get to the latest phones on the website on an iPhone They do have the unpacked countdown ticker running on the site so it may be accessible but I’ve had troubles in the past.
The way I got to shop for Samsung phones on my iPhones in the past was to use a link in my email reservations.
Now the reason I generally have tried to get in via iOS is well…it’s less prone to glitches to buy via iPhone. (Keep in mind that while I do have a desktop PC it’s only set up to game and it’s more for kids homework than me).
So that’s one of the circles I run around in at these times. I think it’s super shady of Apple that Samsung phones aren’t readily accessible or even advertised in their version of the Shop Samsung app. Everything else is, though. So buy all the dishwashers you want from Samsung on your iPhone. Just forget about the latest Galaxy phone.

What about the iPad? I’ll be watching the event on my iPad and I want to pre order as soon as they are available. Also do Samsung take the shop down for pre orders, like Apple do?
This will be the first time I will be pre ordering a Samsung device, I hope it’s less stressful than ordering the latest iPhone.
In my experience it’s much, much less stressful than ordering the latest iPhone. I’ve never once in recent years failed to order a launch day Samsung phone.
Watch now this year I’ll have to eat my own words!
How long to go i though its on by now. No countdown on youtube. Have a feeling Samsung is hiding some surprises this time.

My guess is as soon as the event get started… content creators will release their vids. And I doubt it will be reviewers, but more about ”first impressions.” Normally companies don’t allow content creators to push out reviews so soon… they will allow product reviews when its close to official release date.when will reviews embargo will be lift of? just after keynote?
