They could obviously include an AOD, but IMO I think they've held off because then their huge lead in battery life would take a hit.

naw...they will not add AOD on a iPhone. They want you to buy a Apple watch instead.
Same reasoning why they do not have touchscreens on their laptops....they want you to buy an iPad instead.
They have the technological ability no doubt.
But they want to sell companion devices more then they want to add features to existing products.
yeah....i have not been able to get an order in yet! It won't le me complete the checkout process.
But I am pretty sure with delivery 2 weeks away we will all get our orders on time if we waited until tomorrow

Ordered Burgundy 512GB though my perks at work, arrives 25th Feb.
Finally go to the last screen of checkout but now it's not applying the $250 credit. Gonna try again in an hour or so.
Now the option to trade in the old phone has completely disappeared from both the Samsung app and the web sites. On all my phones. lol what a mess. I’ve unfortunately got to give up. I have to go take a shower after working all morning and I have to do some other chores then do the school run and then head to my mom’s. Hardly any of the official cases that I really wanted were available anyway and usually those do become available during preorders, eventually. So it may serve me better to try later. I may even rethink my color choice. But probably not.
Light blue reminds me too much of my ill fated 13 Pro. The red isn’t what I hoped it would be as I wanted red sides. It’s between white and green. I’ve been trying to order green all day.

I would consider a Galaxy S22 Ultra 1 TB local storage, but that price.... 💸😒
Not a Samsung guy and have no plans to get one of the latest but at first glance, the standard S22 an S22+ are much prettier designs. The Not…er, Ultra , not a great looking phone. Really just looks like a rehash of an old Note.
Specs and features-wise, the Ultra is far more appealing but really not a fan of the curved edges, including the display. Same problem I have with the Pixels…love the features in the higher end model but the small phones just look so much nicer.

Smaller devices this year might be nicer but have 8% less battery than last year’s offering
Love what Samsung is doing with the 4 major OS updates. They are really making it a one-horse race in the Android world in terms of an experience that can rival Apple.
I was hoping we finally get an all screen device, with the camera under the screen. If its taking Samsung years to do this, hell, we're yearsss away from the iPhone doing it then.

I couldn’t agree more. The curved edges on the display just look dated now. It would have been nice to have an ultra model with the same design as the regular S22/S22+.
The Ultra has all the features and the regular S22 and S22+ look fantastic.
I wish manufacturers would just ditch curved displays now.
I agree. We’re definitely much further off than we thought.
I think We’re probably just going to end up with camera’s so tiny they fit inside the bezel without standing out.
My husband tried to place an order for me on his iMac. His browser showed stuff none of my mobile ones do. Like strap colors for cases.
He also pre registered but we haven’t gotten our emails for the credit. Meanwhile things have gone out of stock already like S view cover cases in the colors I wanted, namely white and burgundy. If I can get an order in at all I guess I’ll be stuck with basic black case. You would think a major retail site like Samsung’s could handle this but nope, they stink.

As jamezr said, you don't have to order today. In fact, you can order anytime for the next two weeks and still get the freebies. Apple's pre-ordering is different; there, timing matters.yeah....i have not been able to get an order in yet! It won't le me complete the checkout process.
