I was fortunate to get in right when the pre-orders started and should be getting everything on the 25th. Been trying to help my cousin all morning order hers and it just goes into an infinite loop refresh of the page at the final checkout. And now the orders are already being pushed back to March. So clearly there is some massive demand for these phones.

what a POS website... ( Samsung )
Apple's has been pretty horrendous as well on pre-order days, but yes ... I concur.

Five hours later and still can't place an order due to server issues
I'm still trying off and on. I did notice their full inventory of cases isn't yet offered for us to spend our credits on. I would imagine they'll come up later.

I was definitely trying to log in when they started. Even before they showed up on the app and the web I used a link from Technically T's Twitter. It looked like it was going through. Then it just hung for ages.

March? Great. It reminds me of when my husband and I tried to preorder in summer unlocked Blue Notes that were in demand. I don't remember which ones. He waited 3 months then gave up and cancelled. I gave up when iphone preorders started in the fall.

Just an fyi, I get different options for accessories and even prices on the shop Samsung app vs a web browser.
Yeah they have app exclusive pricing. Lol I can see this stuff I just can't order it. I'm lucky the kids decided to stay late for extracurriculars at school today so I can sit down between loads of laundry and give it a try. Sigh.

No ESIM support for the good old USA, makes it DOA for me a dual sim user.

I feel like the Android Gods constantly conspire against me.

Does anyone have any idea why there is no eSIM support in the USA? The S21's all support eSIM.

This is the first Samsung Event that I've experienced issues. Luckly I was able to secure the Tab S8 Ultra while the even was going on. As far as the S22 Ultra. Still having issues.

[Mind you, I am using the Shop Samsung app instead of the website].

The advantage with Apple at least [for some products] is that they set pre-orders a week out from announcement. They way users can set-up fast checkout early. Once Pre-orders go live, those who have their products saved can check out within seconds. With Samsung, they launch pre-orders immediately.

Just a +, product pages have gone line right after announcing in keynote. For ex. S22 Ultra pre-order went live right when they were talking Tab S8

Wow, the pre-order promos in my country kinda suck. No free storage upgrade nor discount. Instead, we just get an e-voucher that's only good for Samsung accessories (and they can expire in a few months), and a case. Samsung has been quite stingy recently.

I actually kinda like Samsung phones but can't buy it due to one missing feature. Their phones cannot record videos at 25 FPS and there's not even any third party apps that can do so. Seems like a hardware limitation.

F'kit.. Was trying to order 5 Ultras (F&F), but the aggravation ain't worth it!
Yeah I just got back from taking care of my mom. I figured by now orders would go through but nope. Not happening. I'm going to keep trying but I'm at the point I am trying different colors. My family is rooting for green. I like white a lot, too, though.

It can be software issue as well. Probably due to Google being behind in supporting camera hardware and features in Android’s own camera APIs. In Android world, each OEM ended up doing their own thing for their camera software. Even Xiaomi had to do their own camera app on their Android One models since Google’s camera API back then didn’t even support dual lens setup.

Without proper API support for the actual camera hardware, 3rd party apps automatically suffers. This is why Snapchat and instagram in Android are poor compared to iPhone, since they were simply taking screenshots instead of actually using the camera APIs.

Well my order went through but I got cheated out of a lot of credits. Stupid app wouldn't let me go back to pick up more straps for the case that has straps after yeeting a bunch of stuff out of my cart that became out of stock.

Just ordered a 512GB Ultra for my friend with the Samsung Shop app, the process was a little nerve racking because some of the $250 accessory freebies sold out before I could check out. All of the charging bricks are unavailable for me in the US as of 30 minutes ago even if you try to buy at full price. I still got Galaxy Buds live (been wanting these for awhile), single wireless charging pad and 2 cases for free. Stoked! Placing the order was a little glitchy and took a couple tries. With the free memory upgrade, their trade-in (cracked Note 9 for $150) and my extra discount on top of that I got everything for $1063 + tax. Quite a good deal for the most Ultra phone money can buy today!

Do you mean 25fps as opposed to 24fps? 25P is a European standard. The S22 Ultra in the US shoots 24P at 8K now.

The three popular FPS are 24, 25 and 60.

Countries where electricity's frequency syncs with 25 needs phones to shoot at 25FPS otherwise lights (e.g. traffic lights, light bulbs, shop signs, exit signs) will flicker. The workaround involves choosing a shutter speed to prevent flicker but whether that shutter speed is available will depend on the lighting situation. A phone that can shoot 25 FPS doesn't have to depend on lighting situation.

Most Asian countries use 25 FPS PAL. And Samsung sells to Asia. That'a BIG problem and somehow they still don't get it after many years.

And third party apps cannot shoot 25 FPS because its either hardware locked or Samsung OS locked.
