Next decision is which color. Probably burgundy
I have no idea why Samsung is releasing two colours from the same group (red & burgundy) and dropped gray, blue and silver.

Oh is there a red one, too? I saw renders but didn’t know if they were official. Yes it’s weird to not have grey and blue.I have no idea why Samsung is releasing two colours from the same group (red & burgundy) and dropped gray, blue and silver.
It’s not just you. Sometimes I’ve also seen it look kind of light “eggplant”. It most definitely isn’t a true burgundy in most of the photos I’ve seen. But in person it may live up to the name “burgundy”.
Thanks for posting that. Yeeurgh, the ppi isn’t so great for the S22+. I don’t know if that would bother anyone though. I do notice when I am comparing screens, but in day to day I probably wouldn’t. Still, I admit to being spoiled by the pixel densities of past displays. Its definitely burgundy very popular colour here in Australia but its not for me.
Please rotate comparison table below for better viewing. The 3 models share the same processor , gorilla victus glass and other specs otherwise the Ultra is superior in terms of screen resolution and camera.
You’d think I wouldn’t want the burgundy phone after all that, but that burgundy mess of a car outlasted all our other cars and served me well and fostered my love of driving beat up old cars! Nothing but love

Where I live almost all the cars are now black, grey, charcoal. Very rarely is there a blue or red, even. Champagne gold has completely disappeared. White is almost gone except for utility vehicles. My own truck is black. My 30 year old car is blue with a hint of green. My car that’s about 14 that my dad gave me for my birthday a couple years ago is a light blue. I don’t see that color very often anymore. My second car was burgundy and i really loved it but that love didn't last long when black models of the same car start hitting the road.
Charcoal, black, dark blue, navy blue, grey and silvers are my favourite doesn't matter if its Ferrari or Corolla.
I'd rather get a downgraded ram and storage than downgraded ppi even though the specs for the plus are very good.
My thoughts too. I loved the Note line and all the functionality it provides but the sharp corners kinda made it hard to hold for any length of time for me anyways.....Anyone else with a s21 ultra considering upgrading?
My only apprehension is going back to the sharp corners of the note. I actually really enjoyed going to the s21 ultra from note 10+, because it was much more comfortable to hold, and especially put in your pocket. Even though they were physically the same size the sharp corners make the note phones feel much larger.
It is one of those details that seems minor, but in practice is really major from a use ability standpoint.
I love my s21 Ultra and have really enjoyed owning it. And I’ve admired its beautiful black finish and sleek shape just about every day I’ve had it. The only reason I’m not keeping it is there’s this tiny hairline defect in one of the camera lenses. I am reasonably sure I didn’t put it there and that it was probably there from the beginning. To me, it looks like it’s developed into a crack despite the fact I don’t use it outside the home anymore. My husband thinks it’s a scratch. I don’t feel like dealing with customer service to get it addressed, whatever it is. I’ve got too many other things going on in my life right now.Anyone else with a s21 ultra considering upgrading?

I’m excited! I always enjoy a good dog and pony show. I get interested in how hard they’re trying to sell their concept of an ecosystem in these presentations. I don‘t think I’ll ever buy fully into that. But I find it fascinating, nonetheless. It seems like everything about the S22 line up has leaked is everyone excited for event and the new devices?
One of the leaks mentions that the prices will remain the same, however the 128GB version of the S22 Ultra will have 8GB Ram instead of 12GB, the 256GB will however get 12GB Ram as will the 512GB version. Will this make a difference in everyday use? Personally I’m probably going to go with the 256GB version anyway.
I also wonder if the prices here in the UK will be lower due to the Exynos chip, the S21 lineup and the Note 20 Ultra had cheaper prices for this very reason.

The revival of the Note is exciting enough for millions around the world and super exciting for S fans who will be buying a better equipped phone than S at almost same price even though few are not happy with the inclusion of the s pen slot at the expense of battery power.
For me its my first 5G, first Snapdragon and first 120 mhz powered phone so i am super excited.
Add to that all the new Camera and other features on the S22 Ultra.
S22 just looks just like my Note 10 Plus.
Yeah I’ve been surprised to see many comments like yours around, not that I disrespect your opinion, I am just surprised is all. To me the S22 Ultra looks beautiful. I haven’t paid any attention to the iPhone 14 but if it’s rumored to look like the iPhone 4, that’s a welcome return. I was very fond of my iPhone 4. But again that’s not anything new and exciting, it’s OLD and welcome. As is the return to traditional Note styling for the S22 Ultra. The “big rectangular slab” look with non prominent camera lenses is something of a necessity for a device meant to be written on. The only way I could like it more is if the display itself were flat. The S22 just looks just like my Note 10 Plus. So underwhelming after all these years. Never bothered with the S series and now no longer interested in the Note series given the Galaxy Fold series..
If the Fold 4 doesn't deliver as a significant replacement to my faulty Fold 2, it looks like I may be returning to the iPhone 14 given that it now resembles my favourite phone design; the iPhone 4. Will I be able to put up with iOS after 10+ years. In any case the S and Notes series have no appeal to me with their current designs.
I don't think it's a matter of availability... those who are interested in the S22/S22 Plus will wait until they are released. And regardless if Ultra model is released before the others one, it's going to be a shortage on the Ultra model.Be interesting how many will be pushed to ultra if the other models are longer waiting times

If buyers don't pursue the Ultra early... expect ship dates to go back months. If rumors are true Samsung is staggering the release of the S22/S22 Plus and Ultra. I haven't did the early preorder for the S22 Ultra... my hands are set on the Fold 4, but I'll be excited for those who get their hands on the Ultra early!
