I always think my Samsung phones have better sound/reception for phone calls and hope that hasn’t changed!

Yeah I'm hoping it's just the fact I called a hospital. I've gotten bad call quality to and from hospitals before. The real test is I'm going to call someone at my house when I go to my mom's house tonight. That will replicate somewhat the tests I used to do with my dad. Not entirely since he used to call me from his land-line. But at least it will be a phone call between two locations that normally isn't plagued with any particular connection issues.

I'm trying to figure out if there's an issue because my wifi signal strength indicator keeps fluctuating. It's not doing that with my iPhone. Or any other device. Though I really ought to charge my s21 Ultra and check that.

hows everybodys battery life? Mine is hard to measure due to the fact I’m taking plenty of photos. Screen on time was on about 3 hours, 30 with 10% left which I know isn’t good but using the phone it’s not felt like battery is bad most days it’s lasting all day.

Mine drains fast. I'm not monitoring specific numbers but I can see it as I use it. I am thinking it's close to yours. It sometimes runs warm, too. But not hot. All my phones usually take a few days to settle down and i have no consistent 5g service abd shoddy 4g, so my 5g phones drain a bit due that.

It didn't realize how close the mic hole was to the SIM ... I do remember thinking as I was swapping SIM hmmm why is it on the bottom side lol ..

Calls and clarity have been great on my end ...battery life too though I'm not checking SOT just using phone and charging when I need it which is usually the next morning now ...

I agree with @drinkingtea wow when you watch Netflix or Hulu on this screen ...videos and all exceptional... definitely iPhone side of Android ..

Which has me thinking my beloved P6P what to do ...lol ...thinking this one is going to be hard to put down ..I know it's early stages but I'm a Note user at heart ...

This might be it. Hospitals are full of medical tech stuff that can interfere with your phone's antenna. Please update us ...

Try going to the reset options in your settings, and hit "Reset Network Settings". Note that you will have to input all your wifi and resync bluetooth devices again.

OK just did it. Thank you. Signal status is the same but my other phones are now also showing the same so it's all good.

For anyone wanting any kind of screen protector, my LK film one lost all the few bubbles it had overnight and is looking and working well. It's good with the S Pen. It was easy to apply and arrived in a two-pack.

I originally wasn't going to use any kind of screen protector but I had to be realistic about life in my purse pocket.

Yea the 13PM is insanely good as far as battery life goes. S22U is better than than P6P and ZF3 for me though and that's good enough. Both of those left me frustrated with their battery life although it took the P6P a while. It was pretty good early on and then went downhill.

Whenever i go far from home i use this app to test my network signal so that i won't blame my phone. Sometimes your phones signal chart will show false readings.

Nice that there's esim support right out the box. And reports say an update is coming soon to support Google Fi esim. Which I will sign up for their $20 plan asap, just to have access to other networks.

Yeah just click the S pen button and you can use pen to flip to main or selfie and switch to portrait or night mode for example. Really useful for family shots not needing to click the shutter button for photos

The Pixel 6 Pro is quite poor value unless you simply must have stock Android. The S22 Ultra will actually get longer Android OS upgrades (4 years) than even the Pixel 6 Pro (3 years).

I am bonkers for my Pixel 6 Pro but so far my S22 Ultra is really giving it strong competition in the camera department. Photo quality even for moving subjects in indoor lighting has been comparable and zoom options are better on the s22 Ultra, giving it the edge there. But I haven't tried to use the zoom during country car rides. My Pixel 6 Pro got me photos I thought would be impossible. The P6Pro has set the bar very high. I can't wait for the chance to see what the S22 Ultra can do to match or exceed that level of camera performance.

I'm still evaluating other aspects.

Love the size of the S22, but it still just baffles me how it's described as small, it's almost the same size as the Note 7, and back then everyone would talk about how big in size the Note line was.

Funny how when I went for this sized phone back in the day people would comment how big they are, but now I still go for similar sized phones and people comment how small they are. Went from big phone guy to small phone guy while never actually changing size preference.
