Move on , samsung fanboys and accept the reality. Some things like 1750 or 2000 nits, best selfie camera on the planet or HDR10+ are just hype and marketing. Others are doing that for over 3 years, and doing better.

I forgot to mention when you pay about 1500 euro on a phone AND 170 euro on a case, adapter and a screen protector with uv glue, you have the right to compare

Jeez man you're turning into a royal PITA!

This is a Samsung thread! No one cares about your bootlooping LG trash..

How about you start a new LG V60 thread and post till your blue!!

"Tech" youtubers are basically marketing people. They know how to create fancy videos, but the actual tech knowledge is extremely minimal, and pretty much borderline lay-people-reading-brochure level of knowledge.
THIS! Exactly… it is funny how often these high profile youtubers know less about tech they got in hands than me (average joe, father of two children, with ordinary job aka guy with little to no free time😂) that usually touch all that tech only in shops;)

Received s23U black and lavender on the 7th. An upgrade for my s20U and the wifes Redmi Note 10 pro.
And what an upgrade it is! Absoutely loving this phone. The battery life is phenomenal. Took it off charge at 10pm on the 7th, this morning on the 9th I still had 37% charge.

What I find crazy is that mine has shipped and I can still cancel my order. This seems like it could be a huge liability for Samsung. Not that I’m thinking about doing it, but I’m not sure that their records would update to show that the phone was still delivered if someone cancelled it. 🤦‍♂️

One thing I'm really struggling with is just how heavy and thick the S23U is compared to my old N10+, I thought the Note 10 plus was heavy when I first got it but the Ultra is ridiculous!! However I will say the battery is next level, this thing could easily last 2 days with medium usage.

Hold a sec. So you are on a rant-train on stuff that you spend thousands of dollars on. Do you guys have return policy? Just return it. I mean I would if I don't like what I just paid thousands of dollars for. I would want my money back. Or, I wouldn't have bought it in the first place... :D You're funny.

Confession, I wasn’t planning on buying any S23… however, after a combination of reading through this thread, appreciating but being bored with my iPhone 14 Pro and wanting to throw a Pixel 7 / 7 Pro through a wall, I just ordered a S23 Ultra… I didn’t reply to any one, but I read all of your comments regarding One UI and I’m really willing to give it a shot. The S23 Ultra looks to be phenomenal and a really good phone. I’m very excited and I’m willing to go “all in” if I like it. I got the $100 credit, so, I grabbed the official leather case and the silicone case with the strap. I also just ordered the Spigen Ultra Hybrid with MagSafe (which I LOVE that Spigen brought MagSafe to this case, I buy the Ultra Hybrid for all of my phones, so this is a bonus!) and got a free screen protector, too.

I wasn’t expecting to do this, but this will be fun! People and reviews seem to be very positive about the S23 in particular. I’m also excited to try the S Pen! I take so many notes as is!

View attachment 2153101

Out of interest if you use an Apple wallet or car mount does the Samsung MagSafe work and hold these items nicely? I’d hate to one day upgrade to a Samsung and lose the use of the wallet. Granted I understand it’ll only hold with no further tech advances as it’s attached to an iPhone!

Still undecided, i can get ultra or fold4 literraly tomorrow, but cant decide if i am gonna switch and if so, which of these 2🤷

Both are superb; you definitely can't go wrong with either choice. All will depend on exactly how you personally will be choosing to use your smartphone.

The Fold4 is superior for both multi-tasking and more immersive media consumption. The fold out screen is fantastic for usage with the S-Pen, excellent clarity and brightness. The crease is a non-issue in use, I do not notice it but a completely flat screen is welcome on the next generation. When closed, the Fold4 is thick and chunky.

The front screen is better in width than the Fold3 so easier to use but its still quite slim plus no option of S-Pen use on the front. This is the achilles heal of the Fold4 in my use; I prefer to use the internal screen for everything which makes the front screen not as usable as it should be.

Camera is really good, taken from the S22 but not as top tier as either the S22 or S23 Ultra's.

Battery life is fine but I reckon needs to be improved. Using both front and internal screens really needs more than 4400 mAh. Average use I can just about manage the whole day, I sometimes have to recharge towards the end of the day after heavy multi-tasking usage.

The Fold4 is also a talking point with those not seen it before, they're in awe of the next-gen tech! I love mine but still think it's not refined enough yet for prime time. The Fold5 looks set to resolve a lot of the 4's downsides.

Whilst only a couple of days hands-on experience, the S23 Ultra is the best slab phone I have used outside of Apple.

The cameras are top tier, the video has blown me away; I'm an (amateur!) videographer and upto this point, Android hasn't come close to matching Apple with video quality. I did a few video comparisons with a mates 14 Pro Max and the S23 Ultra is on level terms now. 8K video is special on the Ultra. Optical zoom at 10x is brilliant, easily better than the Fold4's 3 x optical.

My next tests will be low-light photography which I'm excited about. Possibly may go space geek with a tripod for astrophotography!

The S-Pen built in does make a difference to the Fold4 as its always on-hand without worrying where it is located.

Multi-tasking on the Ultra with One UI 5 is really fast. Noticeably different to using the Fold4, that is due to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, its an overclocked beast!

Multimedia consumption is also excellent, your looking at 6.8 inches vs 7.6 inches on the Fold4 so the 4 tops it but for size but the Ultra is still very immersive.

Here are a few key differences:

Main Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra vs Galaxy Z Fold 4 differences:

• Main cameras: 200MP vs 50MP main camera sensors

• Screens: 6.8" vs 7.6" displays

• Opticals: 10x vs 3x optical zoom

• S-Pen: Integrated S-Pen stylus vs non-integrated S-Pen

• Processors: Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 with Overclocked 3.36 GHz vs 8 Gen 1+ processor

Overall, it's a really interesting comparison but not actually like for like; more apples with pears! Both of Samsung's flagships offer a different set of requirements for different users. I'm deciding on whether to keep both or sell my Fold4 to primarily use the S23 Ultra and my 12.9 inch iPad.

As I recall, the Note 10+ struck me as big and unwieldy back in the day. After carrying around a 12 Pro Max and now a 14 Pro Max, my S22 Ultra feels svelte. 😆

Brah, it is time to move on. You are a broken record.

Spending money doesn't give you right to piss on a thread that has nothing to do with your complaints.

If you bought the s23 ultra and it didn't live up to your expectations then return it. No one here on the s23 thread asked for a comparison with a 3 year old discontinued phone.

Like if you started a thread about the LG thinQ and someone kept posting about the Samsung s23 ultra and how it is so much better you would be like, off topic brah.

This thread is about the Samsung s23 series and everything related to it and sure you could post your impressions of it and you have multiple times. We get it.

You just created a profile rather recently and it seems like the only reason is to trash the s23? Why would you do that?

Calling people fanboys on a Mac forum is special. I think you hear people complain like I have about trade in values and when we actually get our phones we will give an honest opinion. I like Apple products and iPhones but I call things like I see them. What I don't do is compare my s20FE to the Ultra and say the Ultra is garbage on a thread dedicated to the s23. There is a name for what you are doing but I digress.

I'm pretty sure the person you are replying to is the same person that was in here a few months ago trashing Samsung and earned a permaban on that account. Best thing to do is put them on ignore and not respond. I got a little temporary ban for engaging with that person. 😂

Thank you.

I just don't get the point of trying to ruin things for other people? What do you get out of it?

Seems to be a trend on tech forums.

100% agree!

But I'll like to add due to that 7.6" display it provides a tablet UI and some apps are optimized for it while some don't... that's why there's a highly debated thread discussing whether or not Android tablets are dead .

Thx for that, all that i know and yet, i am stuck😂
I personally think you should go with the S23U, it's a safer choice. I'm of the belief that foldables are not for everyone... you have to really be into the concept in order to enjoy it.

And the fact, you are torn... seems you'll prefer the S23U more. I came into with doubts, but that was mostly because I was concern with the crease. Once I looked at a few vids explaining that the crease issue depends on the user, I took it upon myself to try it and the rest is history.

Hard to sum it up any better than what Supersonicc did. I've had all the Fold iterations, and the Fold 4 is the first one where I can say the Fold line is finally ready for prime time. I keep it on my work line but I find myself using it all the time outside of work. It is the perfect companion on a flight or when out and about and I'm having to miss a sporting event, I just fold out that big, beautiful screen and not miss a thing.

I'd honestly dual sim both my personal and business lines on it if the battery and cameras were on point. Well, that and I'm a phone enthusiast and I'm not sure I'll ever be able to break that addiction. However, if I was forced to choose, I'd have to go with the Fold 4 (or upcoming Pixel Fold). It's my workhorse in ways that a regular slab phone just can't match.

too early to say as just charged it today to 100% but it certainly not draining much at all. it didn't even get really warm when i transferred everything over either. massive improvement
Sounds good so far, I’m always using my phones mainly on WhatsApp and listening to music. If it can withstand a full day of that I’ll be impressed.

Better than the S22 Ultra??
