I almost pulled the trigger on the watch 6 47 mm interest me... But at the end of the day I came to my senses lol... Let me save that money for something else coming down the road.m
You're one of the people who got your trade in stolen in Texas like my husband did and like I did with my defective return. Does the idea of having that happen again deter you a bit? It definitely does us. That and not wanting to give up the 10x zoom on my S23 Ultra for the flip form factor. I'd still have the S22 Ultra with the s pen and zoom but I still don't want to do it.I almost pulled the trigger on a Flip...they were going to give me $1000 for my S23U. That would make the Flip only $99...tempting. But I really love my S23U right now...
This is one of the reasons my husband hasn't budged from his Fold 3. Edit: his fold is not the Fold 4.Are those the cameras from the S23 though? IIRC, MKBHD said they are the exact same cameras as the Fold4, which predates the S23 and again, I thought I recall everyone saying they weren’t the same cameras as the S22 generation.
EDIT: So I took a closer look at the camera specs and the Fold5 seems to be exactly the same as the Fold4 which are definitely not the same as those as the S23 or even the S22 for that matter (main wide camera does appear to be same as S22 but other two are different). So again, camera appears to be at least two generations behind the main Galaxy phones.
All of the Fold phones not having flagship cameras is what’s keeping me from diving in, among other things. If I’m spending that kind of money, I better have flagship cameras.
Just do it. It's not always about a single feature like the best camera, best display, best battery life, etc...I changed over to a Flip because I was tired of the slab form factor. People who buy a flip typically can buy any phone they want, and are fully aware of their options. The flip just gives you a refreshing "new" way of using your phone. Opening and closing the phone to make and take calls is just satisfying. The compact form factor is so convenient and a pleasure to have. In my opinion, Samsung's software is the best in the business for privacy (secure folder) and customization. Nobody has a sandboxed feature like secure folder. Really looking forward to what One UI 6 will bring.I’m so tempted to trade in my 14 pro max and get a flip 5
And the odd thing is… Z Fold 4 received a wider cover screen from the previous generation. So, I didn’t expect Samsung to do it again consecutive years. What it all comes down to is the fact that there is competition… and the Pixel Fold has been well received by the public due to its cover display.Quite the GF5 backlash online.
I think people really want a wider cover screen and a
better inner camera. I’m assuming we get both with the GF6.
I personally feel the new hinge, brighter inner screen, and lower weight are huge upgrades. If the OPO ends up being lame for some reason I think I’ll get the GF5. But I’d rather get the OPO for the wider cover screen and the triple speakers. We shall see.
Yeah fair. Plus my phone carrier is offering a free Galaxy Watch 6 Classic with the purchase.Just do it. I agree! I think Samsung attention were more toward the Flip this time around.I don't think Samsung cared much for the Fold this time around.
It's strongly rumored the Fold 6 will be a redesign. I hope Samsung listens to it's fan base (which they usually do), and include top notch cameras. Huawei's foldable has periscope camera. I'm hoping to see the same for the Fold 6.
Thanks for the info..I agree! I think Samsung attention were more toward the Flip this time around.
But this one guy had a chance to see some Fold 6 prototypes....
The trade in fiasco is definatley on my mind! A friend of a friend has a Flip...and just like the Fold he has to constantly flip it open to use the phone. I think that might wear on me after a while to be honest. Just my personal thing though. You're one of the people who got your trade in stolen in Texas like my husband did and like I did with my defective return. Yeah I'd flip out after a while. The trade in fiasco is definatley on my mind! A friend of a friend has a Flip...and just like the Fold he has to constantly flip it open to use the phone. I think that might wear on me after a while to be honest. Just my personal thing though.
Wider is coming I believe it...now let's get a nice color on these phones heheI agree! I think Samsung attention were more toward the Flip this time around.

That's nice rightIf they implement a wider aspect ratio with that S-pen slot. Game Over!!!!
Agreed.. Take my money Samsung! If they implement a wider aspect ratio with that S-pen slot. Game Over!!!!
Well, if that is the Fold 6, then maybe I'll have to switch back from the Pixel fold. Hopefully they make the outer display also compatible with the SPEN.Wider is coming I believe it...now let's get a nice color on these phones hehe
Amen ! preach on.... I mean the form factor is so important I think a lot of people don't realize it until they have a phone in hand and using it daily with front display properly...Well, if that is the Fold 6, then maybe I'll have to switch back from the Pixel fold. Hopefully they make the outer display also compatible with the SPEN.
