Land of Smiles
I don't think Samsung cared much for the Fold this time around.

It's strongly rumored the Fold 6 will be a redesign. I hope Samsung listens to it's fan base (which they usually do), and include top notch cameras. Huawei's foldable has periscope camera. I'm hoping to see the same for the Fold 6.

Not sure that's fair :)

They have spent a lot of R&D perfecting the hinge on each generation leaving little margins to improve the camera and other bits IMO

If the critics had been less focused on the gap we may of seen other features earlier

Quite the GF5 backlash online.

I think people really want a wider cover screen and a
better inner camera. I’m assuming we get both with the GF6.

I personally feel the new hinge, brighter inner screen, and lower weight are huge upgrades. If the OPO ends up being lame for some reason I think I’ll get the GF5. But I’d rather get the OPO for the wider cover screen and the triple speakers. We shall see.
Has anyone said the Fold 4 inner screen wasn't bright enough? Like ever?

Seems like for the people who almost got the flip 4, finally are jumping on the Flip 5 because of that new larger and more functional cover screen.

Here's a videos sharing the experience after a few days of use.

I really don't see the point of the Flip. With the Fold uou're getting a phone that opens up into a small tablet but with the Flip you're getting a phone....that bends in half. You're gambling on the fragility and longevity of a folding plastic display and a hinge for what?? 🤔

I think portability is the big drawing... I know from carrying around my previous flips it was a pleasure to just pocket such a small device.. then you unfold when you want to get a regular phone experience... And now with the larger outside screen you can do so much more on the go stuff without even having to open the phone... So I think that's the big draw...

Cause not everyone wants to deal with a large slab all the time.

At the moment, I carry both the 14PM and S23U. The S23U is my secondary phone line, and it's size is starting to feel cumbersome. So I'm trading it in for the Flip 5 pre order. The larger external display makes it very appealing this time around. I don't have to open it for every little thing.

Yup carry around two phones is when you appreciate the smaller form factor even more …this is why I’m hesitant to upgrade to the iPhone Max ..I don’t find it comfortable and don’t want two large slabs …surprisingly although heavy the Pixel Fold teams nicely with my iPhone ..when I carried the S23U it was okay but I had it in a zippered pouch at times

Honestly, you just gotta use it to understand why so many who have one, don't care to go back to their big slab phone. The reviewer in the video explains it the same way. He just didn't see the point of the flip form factor until he owned one. My Nike gym shorts have pockets big enough to hold a regular slab phone, but the top of the phone would stick out, and there's no way I'd put a big slab like my Note 10 in those pockets as there's no way the phone is staying in there. Gym shorts pockets are loose, and the material is very thin. So there's no way the phone is staying in those pockets as you move around, especially while laying on a bench. But all these types of shorts have a smaller zippered pocket, and that's where the flip easily fits in with room to spare. Never worry about the phone slipping out. This is only one real world example. As I was saying once you use it, you start to understand it.
