Sure....but then there is the overwhelming multitude of them.Btw some reviewer's opinions are hardly what I would consider "truth" or what constitute "objectively the best."

We all make our choices for different reasons. But please explain why sales means it's better? Doesn't Android outsell IOS? Does that make it better by your standards?
Sure....but then there is the overwhelming multitude of them.
I was just using your sales analogy. There is only one IOS phone so it is direct competitor to Android. I don't think sales is a complete measuring stick. But if you want we can use it. Even Samsung out sells Apple in sales. Does that make their phones better?Apple does not compete with android but yeah I guess you could say that android is more popular. But that's not what we are discussing is it?
Android is not a final product.
Phones are.
Great....then do some home work and checkout the other threads here on MR where a ton of people have posted reviews and links. The info is all right here for you.Have you surveyed every review on the internet to see which has a higher approval rating or which is preferred when reveiwed in tandem?
Short of something like that I would question your evidence.

Sure....so you don't go by reviewers. Because they might not agree with you. You go by sales as your standard. Then by your standard Android is the better mobile phone of as it outsells IOS by a very large margin. Samsung out sells Apple in the US and wordwide. By your standard does that make them better? You can do your own homework by yourself since that is the point you're making.
Sales figures clearly show consumers prefer the iPhone 6 to the Samsung whatever phone whether you judge by number of units or by revenue or by profit.
The point of making phones is to sell them and to make a profit.
It is more objective than what you perceive to be the consensus based on your biased cherry picked reading of the internet.
I don't care about what the reviews say at all, as that's just a collection of opinions which can be paid for.

The answer is yes to both. Google does sell Android phones. Apple is the only manufacturer in the world that sells IOS phones.Does google sell android?
Does apple sell iOS?
The answer is no to both questions.
I concede that android is a more successful product for sure but we are comparing phones, not OS, or at least that's what I am doing.
Which OS has more users pertains to which OS is more popular but not to which phone is more popular.
iPhone is less successful than the collection of every android phone but we are comparing iPhone to Samsung's specific models are we not?
I am just using your sales analogy....Did I miss something? Is Samsung the only android phone manufacturer?
The answer is yes to both. Google does sell Android phones. Apple is the only manufacturer in the world that sells IOS phones.
You are right. The iphone is the single best selling phone model in the world. It is the only phone Apple sells so it is a direct comparison to Android.
I am just using your sales analogy....
Sales of OS?
How much money does apple get for selling the iOS separately?
How much money does google get for selling android OS per phone?
Once again, I'm only using sales numbers for phones, not OS because we are not discussing OS.
If you want to discuss OS, then let's compare Tizen to iOS, since we are discussing Samsung.
But it is a direct comparison. Apple only sells one brand of phone running IOS. Samsung sell a lot of phones running Android. Samsung out sells Apple head to head. So by using your sales analogy Samsung has better phones because it sells more phones.Sales of OS?

I would agree with the bolded above. The iphone is the single best selling phone in the world. But you were using a flawed sales equals best analogy. I was just showing you that you were wrong. Now you want to limit and narrow down your theory to just specific phone models Samsung sells. Thats hardly fair. Sales are sales. You said sales equals a better product. Now you change what you said.iOS vs android certainly doesn't make sense when it comes to comparing Samsung vs Apple.
But if it is indeed true that Samsung sold more phones in 2014 or 2015 than Apple, it would argue in favor of Samsung's success over Apple's.
I would argue though that apple does not compete with everything under the kitchen sink Samsung sells, but rather it competes with the Galaxy S models and to a lesser extent the note.
I believe apple sells more iPhone 6 and plus than Galaxy s and note, respectively.
They are...and you're right. What does that have to do with the thread topic or what you said? Nothing.....How much revenue does Samsung generate from different phone models?
I was under the impression that their lower cost models are under the attack from multiple companies including Xiaomi and other Chinese vendors, although I'm not sure how important those models are to Samsung's bottom line.

Reviews are more flawed than sales.
You compared apple's iOS to google's OS which they do not sell separately, as evidence for why Samsung is superior to apple, which makes no sense and doesn't have anything to do with our argument.
As you say, Apple's iPhone is a more successful product by all measures than any model that Samsung sells, which is why I believe it is a better product for most people.
Apple's iPhone is a more successful product by all measures than any model that Samsung sells/QUOTE]
So you don't like reviewers. But what if the like the iPhone? Are they good reviewers then? Are they bad if they don't?Using some random reviews that you found on the internet adds very little to your argument that Samsung's note or Galaxy S is superior
Thats very revealing about your bias.
