Depends if they own the rights to share it and with most music purchases you are not legally permitted to make copies. What type of music file do you mean? You can use family share for permitted devices.
I have some music i bought from Amazon and imported into iTunes. A few of them I do not like now as my music choices have changed. So i want to send then to a friend(s) of mine. I will then delete the song(s) after i send them. How do I do this on an iphone?

You do realise you can't access the iPhone's music library as a file system don't you? You can access it on a PC or Mac though as this is hardly a common task to be completed on a mobile phone. Or alternatively share the link to Amazon where your friends can download the music for themselves without transferring large files through email.

I do realize that. That is one of my biggest gripes when I switch between my N4 and 6+. I can upload the songs to dropbox and send a link but it is not the same. There are little annoyances on both platforms. But email attachments are a big one on IOS.

Fair enough, it's not one of my biggest gripes because I've never had to send music and any other type of file that iOS doesn't allow.

Alternatively most of my family and friends use FaceTime for video calling. Skype was all the rage a few years ago but it's far too buggy and unreliable. Since most people I know use iPhones, how could I FaceTime them with a non-iphone device? That would be a gripe for me and as you say there are little annoyances for both devices. It's about weighing up the pros and cons and seeing which one suits. For my needs the iPhone is less restrictive, but it will vary from person to person.

I agree with you on FaceTime! FT is awesome if both are on an Apple product.
Skype is the next best thing though for mixed platforms.

Lately been thinking of going back to the iPhone. I really like many aspects of my Galaxy S5 but I do crave the integration with my other Apple Devices. The other reason is more practical, my step mother is on my account and she loves the iPhone but will never willingly buy one. The only way she upgrades is if I get it for her so I buy one, then upgrade mine and give her my old one.

Can you send a music through email?

Can you forward a voice mail through email on your android device?

I understand it sounds like baiting in the question. Its more strawman arguments. It's like me asking can you video call directly without a third party app, where there is secure end to end encryption. I mean we can really get obnoxious with this stuff not that I want to be, but there are things people try to do that may be important that others don't care about. Always trade-offs.

Yes, I use YouMail for my voicemail and can do that ;)

iOS has many advantages, but the only specific features it has that android cannot replicate are locked in Apple tech.. iMessage, FaceTime, and AirPlay mirroring (regular AirPlay is possible)

Well unless you throw in the .. Without a third party app caveat, at which point I don't want to hear anything about iOS' superior App Store. :)

iOS is always more restrictive though, regardless of a persons needs, that's just the nature of the system. I really don't even think that is an opinion. Sure if you need iMessage you need iOS, but that doesn't change iOS lockdown methodology.

You did not answer my question about attaching music to emails.
Instead you brought up something different and ignored it altogether. Then you brought up strawman?

I do not need to attach voicemail to email. My carrier Verizon allows me to send a copy to anyone.

Here is another solution though

As far as I know you can't attach an MP3 directly to an email without a third party app.

As far as the voicemail, I know that, but physically want to attach the wav file on all major platforms. IOS can be done with third party support.

What 3rd party app will let you attach music as an email attachment in IOS/iphone?

Well the moral of the story is, if you find you need to regularly email music files to your mates, the iPhone is not for you lol.
That was it? Really? :)
The post I replied to was about email attachments in IOS.....and its limitations.
I just mentioned one.

Simple example. Jim the sales manager sends me and 10 other sales managers an email asking me to send everyone this months numbers. Tell me how I simply (without a workaround) Reply All and attach a spreadsheet or other file with those numbers.

It can't be done on ios without a workaround. That is basic email functionality, and not nonsense.

Utter nonsense. Can you tell me what I've been unable to do with my IOS email? What requirement I have that somehow IOS can't meet?

I don't think you can. Therefore my original "just works" comment stands.

What? This is nitpicking. Do a spreadsheet in your favorite IOS application and send to all.

A limitation that has no applicability to my daily workflow. As was said above if you need to email mp3s an iPhone isnt for you. Which is why I said this item is a strawman.

im actually torn between iOS and android too.
Here's what I like and what I don't like:

Android:
Like:
- the email attachment issue as above.
- the variety of available products.

Don't like:
- hit or miss update pipeline.
- less after sales support.

iOS:
Like:
-owning a macbook and an ipad, the integration is awesome
- everyone i know has an iphone, imessage is awesome.
- app store. Apple is still the best here. Sure all the 'big apps' are there. But alot of the really 'cool' apps aren't everywhere. And the apple first party apps are awesome - garageband is one i really enjoy.
- good design and design cohesiveness.

Don't like:
- file management and email attachment.
- pricing tier.
- inability to set default apps - for maps for example.

for now, I've settled into the iOS camp because I feel like the Likes outweight the don't likes, for now. although, it hasnt been easy to make this decision, as it was before.

Don't understand. Are you saying with IOS you cannot craft a spreadsheet and email it to a distribution? If so, you should probably do more research.

no.... he's saying you cant reply to an email and attach an attachment other than pictures.

very crucial feature IMO.

You can.

It was proven in one of the other android vs ios thread. It requires a bit of a workaround but its very much doable if you have iWork or Office installed.

i receive an email in my mail app.
manager wants a response to all in the email conversation.

I need to attach an excel/pdf to illustrate the answer.

how?

Im in this situation almost every single fricking day.

You can only do it by workaround. Create an email using whatever sandboxed app your document is in, which should creat an email with the doc attached in the body. Copy and paste around and including the icon of the document. Now create a reply to all email from the message you are trying to respond to. You should be able to paste the document you copied. It can take some trial and error and is more difficult if there is no text below the document icon when you try to copy.

No, you should probably read with a bit more attention to detail and comprehension.

I find that situations that need work done on a spreadsheet or need to be illustrated best be done on an actual laptop or desktop. These usually don't need an immediate response and even if you do it on a smartphone, it takes a bit of effort and usually the quality looks half assed or there is a higher margin of error.

If it's something really that important, I'll pull my laptop out and do it. If it's shooting off a quick email, or "yes/no" response then I'd do it on a mobile device. It irritates the hell out of me when I get screwed up looking spreadsheets, word documents that lose their formats, or nasty looking screenshots with squiggly marks that are incomprehensible from my employees because I have to either call and ask them to explain, or I have to clean them up myself if I needed to escalate to people above me.

Again, everyone is different. This Android vs iOS thing is getting silly.
