You can't go wrong with the Note 8.

The size worries me. As does the lack of updates. Does it officially have Oreo yet? I'm in UK so not sure of it's different here?

I like the device but don't know if I would get on with it long term... o_O

Yea, can't speak on UK. But here in the US it seems like everyone is getting pushed Oreo for the S8 and Note 8.

Oreo is on its way but I've not seen it yet on my handset (O2 UK) - should be widely available within the month I would expect.

I was worried about the size too, but because it's quite narrow I haven't found a problem at all - I absolutely love my Note8 and it's easily the best phone I've ever owned

Cheers for the post :).
The narrowness definitely makes me think it'd be easier to hold. I'm happy with my Pixel 2, but the Note 7 I had briefly before the problems with it was absolutely incredible.
I prefer the design of the Note over the S line (flatter and more rectangle) and that price drop on Amazon is certainly tempting.

The size worries me.
The phone is big. It's manageable without a case on it and with a case depending on the thickness and size of the case. I made the mistake of buying the OtterBox defender case on launch day and that case made the phone absolutely gigantic. It was so big that up until a few weeks ago, I left the phone at home and either brought my 7+ or S7 Edge as my daily. I even toyed with my old Note 5 and Note 4 and Note Edge a bit.

I don't plan on buying a case for my Note 8 now that I've been using it careless for the past few weeks. The phone feels too good to cover it and make it bigger.

I am waiting for the price drop for a Note 8 or S9+. Once the Note 8 hits about $500-$600, I may get it. I made a huge mistake selling my original one.

The Note 8 is currently £635 on Amazon UK.

Pretty good price, cheaper than a Pixel 2 XL.

I'm half tempted? That S-Pen I imagine is really cool for doodling and colouring stuff in haha.
Dat Maple Gold too.

It's a big ol' phone, but seems grippable due to not being wide.
What is wrong with me?!!
Seen the note 8 as low as £450-£500 on facebook marketplace

It's already hitting that.

Oh I meant new because I see $620-$650 is the current range for T-Mobile. I am just waiting for T-Mobile or Samsung to be aggressive with their deals. Idk why the S8/S8+ are still so expensive too. If I could get the S8+ for $350 brand new, it would be a no-brainer for me because I can deal with 4gb RAM and a 835 processor if it means getting an affordable product.

Well I had a Note 8 but got ripped off this week. I went to sell and I hand the guy the phone and he hands me some cash folded up and he takes off and it was fake money. I hooped in my truck and drove across the street to the area he went but he was hiding I suppose. Never again will I sell a high dollar item unless I am in a business or police station

I am sorry to hear that. Hopefully the police bust him and you can get your phone back.
