Oh yes. Tractors on back woods country roads with twists and turns and miles between passing zones. Some of the drivers of these contraptions will go way off the road to allow you to pass but some can't/won't depending on the situation.
Back to the phone:
Since I am planning to keep my 7 Plus rather than trade, I'm going to take my time to really read about the iPhone and Note 8. I didn't do enough research this last go and this Intel modem has caused me real grief with data speeds and reception.
I'd like to make sure if I'm going to drop such a huge amount, I'm going to ensure it will make my $90 a month unlimited grandfathered T-Mobile plan with no HD throttle enforced, will be used thoroughly.
(OT: Hey, I hope you're in a warm, cozy dry inland part of Texas. We have family and friends and my husband's boss dealing with a variety of experiences from Austin to Houston to San Marcos. What a nightmare this has been for everyone in the Hurricane's path).
Okay back on topic, I also have a 256 GB model, matte black. I'm hanging onto it, too. I don't have an Intel modem but call quality is not consistently good on mine, either. In fact, I use my Samsung to make calls. I'm hanging on to my 7 Plus, too, and if the iPhone 8 doesn't give me my money's worth back in call quality and display and battery performance...back it goes.
I'm not sure what to do about Note 8. That would be a pain in the tail to return if I got it through the Note 7 owners trade in deal (trading in my S7 or S7 Edge). So I'm not doing anything yet. I know the Note 8 is going to be a good phone because my S8+ is pretty good. The Note 8 would upgrade my Samsung experience a bit. I'm just glad I don't have to rush any decisions.
At some point I am going back to one SIM card, probably in 2018 when the two year contract we signed for our Note 7 BOGO deal expires. My husband and I want to pare down our monthly expenses and go back to one line per person. So this is going to be a pivotal year where one upgrade path will win over another. Samsung vs Apple. Lol--I'll probably end up with Pixel or HtC. HTC 10 still beats even my newest phones on call quality inbound and outbound. That phone is THE best cell phone I have ever used when talking just in terms of it being a phone.
Ooooooo!
