So I actually got a chance to look at the new Samsung iNote8 I mean note8 at my local best buy.

first thing I noticed was that the price of the s8 and s8+ went back up big time. After I finally got the note out of retail mode, it took me a short time to find chrome, Samsung internet was in the Samsung folder. To me the app drawer was just stuffed with junk, folders and more stuff. It reminded me of the iOS home screen, you know, wall o icons. I mean this is Samsung so yeah. Most of the preloaded software is just junk. Phone was a bit stuttery in Samsung fashion, I think they may have this feature trade marked because it appears all of their devices do this. I can't wait to see what other junk the carriers are going to add.

Yes, it was demo mode. Yes, display model, yes, not representative of the phone in your pocket and yes, most average consumers will not care or notice this.

My s7e has this feature also with nova launcher.

What also struck me was how square and brick like the phone was, like the old Sony xperias (I think that is the line, I never really followed Sony phones).

Then the price, ouch!

I don't know, maybe I need a bit more time with the device maybe one that is not lashed down. Right now it don't look to be a good purchase. Right now I think my s7 edge will work as a daily driver, even though I waited for this new note since I missed the chance with the note 7. Right now, I walked away from the demo going meh. I had the note 2 (which was very nice and had root) and the note 4 I think I had rooted as well, cant even remember now.

It seems like there is something missing with the new Samsung hardware. Not sure what that is.

Anyway, just some quick thoughts on the device. If the useless software was gone and the goofy iOS-type gestures where binned (I know, there is always nova), then maybe a better buy for me.

Ordered a Note 8 over the weekend using the Note 7 promo. Excited to get back into the Android world and ready to give the Note series/Samsung?Android another real shot. Was juuuust about there (switch to Android for real) last year until the Note 7 debacle but man I loved that phone. Hoping the Note 8 gives me the same experience. A little "worried" about the form factor (it's big!) and the fingerprint sensor placement. Everything on the Note 7 was perfect IMO. After being completely underwhelmed by Apple's keynote today I am very excited about my Note,,now it just needs to get here!

Today, I just did the Samsung deal for past Note 7 owners ($425 off). Also, I ordered the 360 camera.

If you ordered from Samsung, how long did it (Note8) take to arrive?

I can get the note 8 direct from Samsung for 849 euro including the dex station, I think I will do this, 1149 euro in Germany for the iPhone X with 64gb is insane.

What we can expect from Samsung is a full edge smartphone on the S9 and note series from now on. Top and bottom bezels will probably be gone to reach that. They won't let Apple have the best design. Also the new trend feature will probably be gestures on Android. With the option to still use on-screen buttons for the more conventional people.

Hate to say it because I'm normally an Apple user, but the Note 8 simply looks better than Apple's iPhone X

Samsung has become very fast with promotion gifts. My 360 Camera is already shipped and will be delivered on the 14.

Due to the Hurricane, I have to wait to redeem it sadly. Reached out to UPS and nothing of worth from them because they were like welp nothing to report.

Why can you get the Note 8 for that price? That's a very good price.

The Galaxy S8/S8+ and the Note 8 already have a better screen to body ratio than the new iPhone X. The iPhone X bezels are actually bigger than you may think. And that same size bezel goes all the way around the whole phone. More specifically, the bezels on the sides are much bigger than your typical android device. Now I do agree with you that Sammy will make the top and bottom bezels even smaller next year. But more importantly, I'm betting they keep the infinity display edges. So the screen to body ratio will be even better.

I've ordered the note 8 finally
Got it on a contract even though I know it's better to buy the phone outright.

Paying £54 a month for 32gb data and unlimited texts and mins. I know it's a lot to pay but ah well!!

TRUST ME, Note 8 is awesome, Make coffee at home, Stop going to that Starbucks every morning. That would cover the cost.
[doublepost=1505267270][/doublepost]And you get a $930 mastercard, wireless charger 128 external storage for free.
So your note 8 is basically free.
