Samsung Note 8

Still haven't ordered the note 8, but at&t is now offering a $300 trade in credit. Not as good as the $425 Samsung is offering, but I can get on at&t next and not pay for the remaining balance at once. Also I could get on the yearly upgrade for $27 after the credit and trade it in next year for the Note 9, which I feel is ultimately the one I want since early rumors are saying the top and bottom bezels are going making the phone about the same size as past notes.
I'd say it's just as easy for me.
I got my note 8 today. And, wow, this phone is amazing, I am seriously shocked! The screen is incredible. There is a bit of a learning curve (I keep pushing wrong buttons). There is a few things I'm going to have to research this weekend when I have time. I'm trying to figure out my way around android but since I use G Suite the transition hasn't been too bad so it looks like besides iMessage it will work fine with my iPad and iMac. I also ordered the SD card and wireless charging - kudos to samsung for offering that deal. But anyways, so far so good!
It's feels damn near equivalent in hand. The weight between the two phones is what's noticeable.

Ah well it seems as though my note is going arrive today. O2's website has updated with tracking details. Hopefully DPD will update with a one hour time slot soon.
Still processing my John Lewis order. So phoned up and on their side it was shipped and is due for delivery today!

No I'm wondering if I should go out this morning as DPD usually give a 1 hour time slot but not usually until after 9.
Or maybe I should just wait in all day and not risk it.

Actually here for me in Ireland I use DPD Parcel Wizard for deliveries from the UK and elsewhere quite regularly and have found them good. (They give me a virtual UK address in Northern Ireland and then forward down parcels to my ROI address).
Worst couriers I have had the misfortune are TNT and at times UPS whom both are Apple delivery agents here. The delays and miss-routing was shocking at times. Once had an Apple Parcel ship from UK, end up in Germany, be re-routed to Belfast, be re-routed to France, back to UK, and finally arrive in Shannon, Ireland depot. Scary stuff and so frustrating when it's out of your hands to do anything.
John Lewis used UK mail for me today. Think when I phoned they said it was dispatched directly from the supplier.
Just checked tracking was delivered to my buildings office at 10! Might have to call it a day a bit earlier this afternoon and rush home!!
One feature I'm extremely interested in is the notes on the lock screen with the S Pen.
A couple questions for those who have the phone:
- Let's say I meet a potential client at a seminar, can I write down their phone number, and then from the lockscreen, save that number into my contacts and create a contact?
- Can I jot down something and set it as a reminder? Like set my alarm 15 minutes from now?
Basically, what I'm getting at is how much functionality this feature has. It could be a game changer and push me to get this phone over the iPhone X.
