I did try that with gmail but didn't work. First I had to copy and paste all the notes from my main iCloud and then into the gmail iCloud account. But they show up as emails in gmail on the Note. Spent ages on it but all I want is them in the Samsung notes folder. Oh well!

Notes sync is working now and quite like the Google keyboard, thanks.
Have you tried using the built in smart switch app? Just go to settings/cloud and accounts/smart switch, and from there it will take you through a set up process to transfer everything over.

No, I never thought about that! I'll have a go with it tomorrow, thanks.

iCloud Notes. Sync it to a GMAIL account on your iOS device. Then download GNotes on the Note 8. All your notes will be there.

Keyboards. GBOARD or Swiftkey are two of the best.

Nice information. Do you know if the reverse is true, if you edit the note in Gnotes on the android device will it save it to iCloud notes?
[doublepost=1505705051][/doublepost]How durable have you all found the N8's glass back. What is it, gorilla glass 4? I usually get a rear skin, but I'm tempted to just used it naked. I don't mind swirls or light scratches as I expect it to tank in resale value no matter how pristine it is. I could care less about drop or impact protection as I am very careful, and if I'm not then I have squaretrade. It always goes into the same pocket which never has anything else in it. My concern is I frequently put it down on my desk and sometimes slide it around like that.

I tried to use Samsung pay today but didn't manage it. I need to go and watch a video and try it again tomorrow. I ended up using my Apple Watch in the end.

Samsung Pay is so freaking awesome. I use it pretty often because it damn near works everywhere.

Hmm there's something wrong with Samsung pay on my phone. When I slide up from the bottom it shows the card. The option to authenticate with a fingerprint is greyed out even though I have it set up in the settings. When I tap on either that or the pin option nothing happens.

My card was added successfully and I received confirmation from my bank.

I think it is both. You are not going to get equal multitasking with 2gb of ram...think iPhone 6 plus to 6s plus.

That being said, the software in general has been highly optimized, it seems. There is literally no lag, FPS drops, freezing, etc. I think samsug smoothed out the software a bit. I imagine the s8 and s8+ will improve noticeably with the new version of touchwize. The pixel does fine on less ram.
There is a video being posted on some of the Android sites that shows just how many apps you can open and go back and forth to before apps start reloading. They were able to open and use 29 apps. That is amazing. The 6GB RAM performs well.

I have a Note 8 AND a S8+ and to me, both are incredible smooth in doing everything I do on them daily.

No you just trade it in a year later if you wish. It's like the IUP
Sadly, they tend to not give you much credit for old phones.

I have three lines on T-Mobile. When I went to see how much money they would give me for each phone, they would give me $141 for the 6S+, $131 for the Note 5. Didn't think that was worth losing those phones so I didn't give a trade and just paid for my phone outright at the T-Mobile store on Friday.

It's on the Samsung upgrade program if i do it so you just trade in your note 8 and get the note 9 and carry on with the same payment I'm guessing.

Anyone having issues with their Blue Light filter not triggering properly? I had a noticeable bug and need it to work on schedule.

Anyone having issues with wireless charging? I decided to try the fast wireless charger yesterday that I got from Samsung with my pre-order and the phone would say "fast wireless charging" and the estimated time to complete, but the problem is, it wasn't charging at all. The phone was actually losing juice over time. So at work today, I'm trying my choetech wireless charger that worked great with my S8 but my Note 8 won't even recognize it... at all... i'd hate to have to do a factory reset but will do that this afternoon. So frustrating. Otherwise, everything about this phone is great! But I hope I don't have to go through the hassle of exchanging via Samsung.com

"Congratulations! Your submission has been approved." Then I see "review in progress" as my status under neath claim date in the Shop Samsung app. I am totally confused right now lol. I just want to see how long it takes for me to get my Gear 360 camera.

That sucks. If a factory reset doesn't do the trick, sounds like a defective unit. Nothing worse than getting a brand new toy and having to exchange it.

I agree. I had to replace a few S8's due to a really bad pink tint issue... so hopefully I don't have to do that here. Plus, I did the trade in a G4 for $300 off, so I hope that deal doesn't get messed up.
