Well camera wise the pixel hasn’t really changed much past few years and I’m not expecting any hardware changes but who knows. Rumours are even with moving to tsmc power wise there won’t be a big jump not right away.

Well camera wise the pixel hasn’t really changed much past few years and I’m not expecting any hardware changes but who knows. Rumours are even with moving to tsmc power wise there won’t be a big jump not right away.

Oh yea they have deals on, not all year round tho. Unless using the employee discount or some form of discount. I got my S24 Ultra using a blue light card discount.
Not strictly true, Apple also offer employee, student and also do the defence discount it’s just not as much as Samsung and Google’s.
God dam it, don’t make me regret waiting for the Pixel

That is true, i think AI is the big focus for these companies at the moment. I wonder if it’s because they realise that they can make a subscription model out of it 🤔
I think personally i will always have an iPhone as my main phone, BUT i do very much enjoy having an Android along side it.

They are all competing with each other now on al so that’s the focus over better hardware.
I will always have at least a few Android phones with me with my iPhone. For the things iPhone don’t do I have my androids for that
I did get the watch free a few years ago but was too small and in my experience no android watch can ever compare to my Apple Watch.
Well in the UK we had to specify a day for delivery, or at least I did. So I wouldn't expect it to randomly arrive sooner (although I'd be happy if it did ;-)

Dave comparing a theoretical OEM price in just nonsense, now you want to try and muddle the point with other suppliers prices, as until now we have stuck with Samsung and Apple official prices. So your suggestion of comparison using Amazon vs Samsung is not relevant.
it's what you pay that counts and I will gladly map out the prices between the 2 over the year for you, which will be a fruitless exercise for Apple pricing as we all know the likely result already will be in Samsung favour
It wont be long now before some note they will wait 3 or 6 months when Samsung discount further but not include bundled goodies etc given to early adopters as you did yourself. Yet the RRP will remain constant

I would argue there are offers much more than there aren’t with Samsung, whether that’s cashback, products or money off.
Apples discount doesn’t appear to extend to their current flagship iirc I have blue light.
They used to give a 2% discount 🤣
Samsung fo have good deals on, I have benefited from it myself in the past. Apple's discount is a joke, it use to be 5% and im not surprised if they have dropped it further.
Samsung's current offer isnt bad, altho as of today the free Buds 3 offer has now stopped (at least here in the UK). If I was going to buy one, I would be happy with the current deal.
I believe Google do the same, if I remember correctly they gave away a Pixel Watch with every Pre-order of their Pixel phones.
With the S25 lineup release, I'm actually excited to see the S24 go down in price, maybe under 500€. It's a great phone and I've been wanting to have a second smaller phone. Sometimes these big phones (S24+ owner) are a pain to carry in the pockets.
I received "shipped" notification a few hours ago (estimated delivery on the 30th).
My S25 Ultra (1TB Black) arrived couple of minutes ago and at least it seems nice. Too bad I don't have any type of case for it for a while since I would prefer wallet-type case and this year Samsung didn't make any first party wallet cases for S25 lineup. The ones that are available seem like they are made out of horrible materials and they completely block the use of Qi2 chargers and ones that support it won't ship until at the end of February.
yeah that's a real shame. I really liked the smartview wallet case from samsung, I wish they'd make it for the 25.
Do you think it will come to the S24 Ultra? I can’t see why not really. I’ll have to have a deeper look at One UI 7.
Are there any S25 Ultra exclusives? from what I've seen a lot of the features are coming to S24 lineup via One UI or a Google update. For example I've already got the new Gemini feature, with overlay that can give information of whats on your screen (Youtube videos and so on).
About the only thing I can see a S25U exclusive is the ability to record in Log... and everything else that's behind having a new chip like better photos/video, improved battery... performance. And regarding AI features... only two features will surely be tied to the S25 devices is the Now Brief and Audio Eraser. According to Samsung, they don't know what other features to keep exclusive.

But i think this whole One UI 7 has caused some lack of certainty... they haven't had time to test AI features on the other devices, I'd imagine that S24 lineup will get pretty much all AI features except what I mentioned up above since they been on the beta. But I'm disappointed we haven't seen any look at One UI 7 on a tablet or foldable.
This is one area where Apple is head and above shoulders Samsung when it comes to deploying updates... One UI 7 should of been tested at least a year ago. It's like Samsung starting testing it months ago and that's why they are behind. Because when it comes to Apple... ironically older devices get updates first and this is across all devices.
