I have nothing against the Galaxy Note, but when I see this, you gotta know it looks funny. I mean, you "have" to know people are laughing at you, unless you shop at big and tall stores, I guess.

Sure,
I will use it today and post a screen shot. Why would I lie about that? Yesterday I started the day at 80% and had 47 phone calls. Had 4 what's app messages, 12 texts and 37 emails. Turned on at 4:00am and went to bed at 9:00pm with 6% left. I will let you do the math on that yourself. With 100% battery it pretty easy to make it through the day.
Exactly what looks stupid or funny? Are you that worried about what you look like making a phone call?
I don't think there are too many Note owners like myself that wish that Apple made a larger screened phone. I for one would have never switched, but did just for the screen size, and after years of reading info on this forum about how much Android sucked, I discovered that my Note is an excellent phone. Go figure.
Sometimes opinions based on person experience carry a bit more weight.
Remember Blackberry? Things can and do change sometimes. pile is on top now, and may just stay there, but I can't imagine they wouldn't like to retain iPhone users that jump ship to another platform. Each potential iPhone user is a potential Mac or iPad sale too.

Haters gonna hate....... When Apple sells millions of iphone you never question shipped or sold but now you wanna get hurt when tables turn and samsung has success.............
Would you like me to post a screen shot? I would LOVE to see proof of you getting 16 hours of use with your Note. Thats maybe using it for TWO hours and it sitting on standby for the other 14 Post a screen shot of your battery usage...
20% screen time on nearly 50 hours is closer to 10 hours of screen on usage.

I haven't charged my note in over two days. Over 3+ hours of screen time. Tons of texting, about a hour or do of phone time, YouTube videos etc. The Notes 2500 mAh is a hell of a beast. Some days I go three days without a charge.
Here's the graphs and all.
At 13 percent I'm at work and that'll get me through the entire work day. Toss it on the charger before I go back to bed. Then be good for another 2 to 3 days.

Usage on the battery display is time based, not power based.Isn't the percent the amount of power that item used? Not percent of time?
I can have my Xoom on all day as a wifi hotspot be down to 70 percent and use the tablet for an hour or too and screen is still at the top of the list.
Aka in 8 hours Android OS used 30% battery with screen not even making the list. Then have the screen on for 2 hours using the tablet and it's at the top.
What about web browsing? What about playing games? What about streaming movies? You know, the stuff people would actually buy this thing for...If all you are doing is calling, texts and emails, you can get any phone on the market, you don't need to spend $300 and carry around a 5.3 inch super phone. Once you start doing the things I mentioned above, watch your battery go bye bye fast.

First off, you didn't post a shot that shows actual usage time. Second, you are just on 4G, which to AT&T is basically 3G for everyone else. Of course you will see better battery life. You aren't on 4G LTE...

My bad and relax, 4G over here in the is HSPA which is about 6 to 9 Mbps in my area. I only get 4G LTE at my 2nd office (in Hollywood). The 3G in my area is pretty terrible... ran several tests before on 3G and only got like 1.5 Mbps down and hardly nothing up.
So about 5 hours screen time before I toss it on the charger which I thought was pretty good.

Lets just all agree that the Iphone battery lasts longer because of the very small 3.5" screen . That makes perfect sense to all of us. Does it last twice as long? No it does not. So, with that said, can you carry a spare battery in your wallet for those times you are not near a charger and run out of juice on the iPhone? No you can not. So, with that said, is the battery issue really worth arguing, since most users of cellphones other than the iPhone have the ability to carry a spare battery? I guess not.
I love Apple products, and have a house full of them, but saying that the reason not to use another phone is because of battery life might be valid if it were not for the ability of all those other phone users being able to carry spare batteries with them for those times when needed.
Why must all posts about any successful Android device be met with so much hate and at many times, misleading and totally false information? Many here actually use both Apple and Android, and are happy with both of them.
This is a forum for those people who are passionate about their cell phones to write about them, but they need to realize that there are many quality devices out there, and their device isn't necessarily the "best" simply because they prefer it.
ok, so the LTE and internet is what kills battery life then.

Yea, sorry. I expect a device to last me more than 3 hours of use without having to carry around spare batteries, thats ridiculous.
Not sure why you keep saying 3 hours. Thats just plain false, as most of us know.
No dude, its not. I am talking about usage time, not the time its sitting there doing nothing. People claiming great battery life with it are only doing some texts and emails. A moderate to heavy user doing things like web, games, streaming Netflix, calls and all that real world stuff is only going to get around 3 hours usage on this thing. As I said, my iPhone was still at 51% battery after 4hrs and 30mins of actual use. You really want to carry around extra batteries with an already huge phone? Where are you carrying this stuff? I don't carry a man bag.

I don't understand why you think this response refutes what mbell wrote to you. The fact is you didn't "use" the phone for 16 hours. Actual "use" depends on what you're actually doing for that 16 hours. Try "using" it while doing some of the more battery draining apps in the phone (like browsing ,maps, etc.).
Exactly, to all of your points.
