Checking in to see how the better half is living. I MISS my Fold so much, bleh. Had to go back to an iPhone for personal and work reasons, 13 pro max. I ordered an ipad mini 6, but cancelled it as I was feeling a bit ripped off with the lack of 120hz, the memory price gouging as well as the increased cost for a cellular one, and of course the difficulty of carrying it around. I may just see if I can find a lightly used one on Swappa to use as a "tablet." Anyone else double carry an iPhone and a Fold?

I do carry both but I'm carrying the iPhone 12 Pro so it's a lot smaller..and easier to carry around both of them ...I would not have a problem with the Max as I just keep one phone in a zippered pouch while the other is in pockets..

Carrying both my iPhone 13 pro and Fold 3. IPhone is used when I have to put in quick info ( text, send a pic, add a to-do) . Fold 3 is used primarily for consumption (browsing web, youtube, apple music) and quick sketches. Glad I got rid of my iPad mini 6. It's a waste of money if you already have a fold. Will probably prioritize getting the next Fold than the next iphone.

Skipped Fold 3 awaiting for the next Fold.. so, my wallet is already ready for the next one. I’m just hoping that I get a good trade in for the Fold 2.

My Fold 2 is holding up quite well.. no damages to it, more could be desired when it comes to battery life. But given how much I absolutely enjoy using it and I hardly use the front/outer screen, which could put a strain on the battery life. At this point, I’ve realized I’m a Fold user… phone is fun to use and I get so much out of it.

I'm waiting for the download to appear. Seems I'm not the only one that is enrolled now but has to wait lol

I've heard the rumor I'm not sure though...I'm sitting with no download yet
Yeah, i seen the reddit thread saying so. And if that’s the case… if I had the chance to upgrade to OneUI 4.0, I wouldn’t upgrade if GoodLock isn’t ready for it.

If I recall OneUI 3.0 beta had issues with GoodLock… which Samsung had to fix before official OneUI 3.0 release and even then it wasn’t fully ready. Makes me concern that Good Lock might not be ready when OneUI 4.0 is released to the public. I think Theme Park will see some major changes since features like color palette is baked into the OS with OneUI 4.0.

I agree with you 100%. I would hate to lose. Good luck and from one of the guys on the other forum. He's not seeing that many differences right now in the early stages of 4.0

I don't, but I'm so desperate for an Android tablet in about that size category that I can't stop watching Fold vids. I hear you about the Mini. The premium for cellular and memory upgrade is Apple at their worst. I would have put up with it though, if the Mini had OLED. In which case I would have used alongside a Pixel.

I don’t have the Fold 3, but I received my November security update for my AT&T variant Fold 2. Next month Samsung is said to release OneUI 4.0 for Fold 3.

I received the same Nov security update this afternoon on the Fold 3 unlocked version.

Been a week on my fold 3 and I love it so far. I had an iPhone for 14 years and got tempted toward Android by the Note 10 series. Since then I've bounced back and forth a few times but decided to go all in on the fold 3. I don't love the outside display aspect ratio but overall I enjoy this phone a lot.

I am in the same boat. I keep trying on the Fold 3. it is a great device. I do however keep coming back to the apple walled garden. The integration across devices, CarPlay, iMessage..etc, all keep me coming back. I do love the Fold 3 design though, wish I could achieve the same level of integration with it.

Yeah one of my biggest issues is android auto. It sucks. Nobody will convince me otherwise.

Totally agree....but I don't even have that choice. My car only works with CarPlay...this particular German car maker does not support Android auto. So when I go android, I have to use the old bluetooth approach. which feels so 2018 to me LOL

Whelp, I'm back in, couldn't resist and picked up a Fold 3 to augment my iPhone use. Although I had a Note 2 for a year, I kind of forgot how narrow that outer display. Contrary to my former stance, and after having a 13 pro max for a couple of months, it is a bit too narrow. But I really missed that inner screen so much.

What's this Bluebubbles? I quickly glanced at it and it seems very interesting. I have a Macbook so can make it work, going to play around with it. That's always been my biggest hurdle to Android, the lack of imessage and in particular not being able to send pictures/videos full size.

I've done the iMessage on Android a couple years before, but I did it with AirMessage. I could never get Port Forwarding to work... so I gave up on it. I looked at BlueBubbles... it seems promising. I might try that.

Bluebubbles is similar to airmessage but supports tapbacks, typing status, stuff like that. I definitely recommend hopping into their discord channel. The devs are so nice and every is very helpful there! They also take listen to feedback as well.
