Same boat here. I pre-ordered at 4:30am EST and it was Sept-28-Oct 5th. Last Thursday I received an email from Apple stating it had been shipped. Hit the track button in the email and it went to an Apple generated page showing tomorrow the delivery date. UPS showing tomorrow still as the delivery date, yet the phone is showing China on the UPS tracking location. Like many, I chatted Apple and they were of no help. Said to follow wha that email states the deliver date will be. UPS has not been reliable on many things in my experience this past 12 months. Delivered Amazon and other items for Christmas last year and found their tracking information was wrong several times.

I just got a text from Apple: You'll now receive texts about your upgrade eligibility with the iPhone Upgrade Program. Text HELP for support. Text STOP to unsubscribe.

Wondering if sumner or BigMcGuire got this as well? I'm clearly eligible for the Xs as my last, current phone is the 7Plus. (and I passed the eligibility when I ordered my Xs).

My upgrade is through Verizon so I'm not sure what's going on. I didn't receive any messages about the upgrade but on my Verizon page, where they show you estimated bill for next period, my iPhone cost is already included.

Yep I got this text message Friday at 11am. lol.

I used the pre-order email I got from Apple on Apple's Upgrade Plan for my wife and I. (We both were pre-approved days before pre-order).

Well, given the fact I pre ordered 30 mins after launch, not getting it on the 21st was a bit disappointing. Finally having it in my possession brings a smile to my face. And this was when I given an Oct. 5th delivery day, then pushed up to this week. Enjoy yours to the ones that finally got theirs, and those still waiting, I hope you get yours before the weeks over.

Mine is here too. I want so badly to peek but I already got one at the Apple Store on Friday so this one needs to go back to Apple.

If it’s unopened they won’t refurb it will they? Even the shipping box is unopened. I suppose I should have refused delivery but for some reason my husband wanted me to sign for it.

Mine is out for delivery with a 1:30-5:30 window. Working from home today to make sure I don't miss it. This has been quite a journey....this thread has been awesome!

I've been reading around and this thread seems to be relevant for us ZZ 9/21 folks: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/stuck-in-zz-2-10.2140010/

Although not all of them got the phone on Friday (launch day), their scans did not show until quite late night Thursday or morning of Friday -- could this also happen to us? It seems to be a special case though.

Good find! It looks like some of them had 4-5 days in ZZ before any movement. Most only had 1-2 days. My wife had 2 days. I'm going on almost 4 now.

One thing for sure - the UPS tracking was accurate. It wasn't a "fluke" - it just frigging sat there.

Interesting.

That’s exactly what my point is; I don’t think these things are moving. It isn’t just a matter of waiting for a system update - these phones haven’t moved and I don’t know what’s going to change that?

Yeah, if our phones are also actually sitting in ZZ until the last minute (unsure if "last minute" for tomorrow delivery has already passed or not at this point) I'm a little annoyed with that... can't they at least move the phones to the nearest hubs to their destinations for them to sit in instead of all the way on the other side of the world? That's cutting it close.

Edited a word -- I said "other side of the country" instead of "other side of the world" :p

Thankful that I was playing golf all day and not thinking about this BS.

My only decision now is whether or not to get up early and get my phone in Atlanta before my flight or wait until the afternoon and get it in Louisville. As of last night, it was available in both locations.

If they are actually sitting in ZhengZhou we will not get the phone tomorrow. I just find it hard to believe that they are sitting there but I could be wrong.

Agreed... it just boggles my mind that a massive box of iPhones is just sitting somewhere in UPS storehouses for almost FOUR days now. Anyone with a brain knows that people like us are monitoring shipping constantly and it is going to be a ton of bad PR for UPS to not move these things for 3-4+ days... Some manager make this decision to save costs? Who knows.

My guess since UPS has the window of Sep 28 - Oct 5, they're in no rush. They'll still meet the contract deadline.

you guys need to relax :p

Oh I agree. I'm half frustrated at myself for even caring, but it's a slow day at work at the moment and … lol. My wife's phone is sitting next to me. So.. ask;fjlakjsdflkjasdfkj lol.

I'm with BigMcGuire -- I want to stop caring but I can't  It's discouraging to see no movements in tracking for almost 4 days after being given hope of receiving the phone about a week earlier than initially stated, that itself is a major bummer. Meanwhile Apple Stores near me have the phone I want right there -- I haven't even touched or looked at the new phones in person so I can experience it firsthand with my own phone instead. It's killing me lol

this is how it works every year. the first date that UPS gave you is when you’ll get your phone. worst case the next day. i am sure of this.
I hope you're right ... that means I'd be getting the phone by tomorrow or Wednesday :)
