Still shouldn’t have used any battery. All complications are a scheduled timeline. There is no reason to schedule a high frequency for a water reminder app.I now installed Gulp very minimalistic btw I installed another app: streak workout but I don't think that will drain the battery.
btw i had waterminder in my watch face so probably used more battery than it should.
Can you post the screenshot of your battery life that shows the usage since last full charge? I'm just a little skeptical that you are getting that long of battery life. I'd love to see some actual usage data from the watch
Settings - General - Usage
This is readily available from within the watch app.
Happy to, unfortunately that screen just shows two lines of info without any explanation so I don't know how helpful it will be...I'll try to remember to do that next time, now it just shows "1 minute".
That said, if you read the thread from the start, the long battery life has been corroborated by multiple people here.
You can take it any time during the day. I would just like to see your usage and standby time exceeding 30 hours at any point during the day. Thanks!
I'll aim for one that shows 40 hours 😄
However, I'll only be able to do that 30+ hours from now since I just ended a cycle. Maybe others can post theirs?
What about the “ambient noise” feature? Do you leave it on?I turned off handwashing because I usually do jagged back and forth movements when I wash my hands - not the wrist rolling that activates the handwashing. Yes, audio is a big part.
I really didn't notice a battery difference with that on vs off.
For me, AOD off, handoff off, and siri "listen" off has been the biggest changes to battery life for me. I notice a lot more % left at the end of the day when I have these off. I also have brightness on its lowest (good enough for me).

So I went on a hike today with my GF. She has still waterminder installed. We started at 8:15 am. My Gf had theater mode on while we drove to the destination. My AoD was on. After 90 min I had 99 left , she 100%. After a 5:30h hike I had 53% battery left and my GF 66%. I have to say I rubbed workoutdoors and she the normal workout app. On the way up I checked every few minutes the downloaded map in workoutdoors if we were still on the trail. In that 5:30h I got about 10-25 messages (idk) and she had ok don’t disturb. She checked way less her AW just when I asked her about her battery percentage lol. We both had similar watch faces (I have the weather complication for the next hours).
I’m kinda happy I really checked often the watch and Apple claims 11h without gps or cellular. Without checkin every minutes I would have gotten around 12h or more. Like I said my GF had 66% after 5:30h (idk if her watch not calibrated)
on the drive home (2h with stop at the grocery) it drained from 53% to 46%. Kinda high but ok. Now at 7 pm 41 % left.
My wife's 40mm watch has a very noticeable battery life difference from her S5 to her S6. I believe iFixit showed a pretty good battery size increase there.
The most I have gotten with everything turned on using a Typograpgh face was 36 hrs with 7% left when I put back on the charger. I posted a pic earlier in the thread. That test didn’t involve any workout. Otherwise, the battery life would have been much lower. This lines up with what I would call normal battery life and not the supernatural battery life with "everything on" and "multiple workouts" throughout the day that other people are claiming.

I forgot the OP made that claim. I think it is right to question that, as it seems impossible if the workout included GPS and heart rate monitoring, with everything turned on as well.Yeah, workouts are what ends up killing the battery. I hate being that guy, but I don't buy the "100+ minute workout with everything on and ECG and Blood 02 measurements being taken and I got 40 hours."
Apple would be touting a massive battery life improvement instead of saying it has the same 18 hour battery life of the Series 5.
