Thank you :)
Actually this is my friend's cat and now in heaven as well. My friend really loves this cat, so I drew picture for her. Losing someone(either human or other animals) is tough when that person/animals mean a lot to you. And there is only so much you can say with your words, never enough. As one of artists, this is one of things I was able to do for her to share her sadness.

Aw. I hope your friend found some comfort in your drawing. I hope you don't mind I've downloaded it, and look at it sometimes to remind me of my cat. I do have pictures of him, but there's something personal about a "hand drawn" picture. And it's amazing that it looks like a drawing done with pencil on paper. If I didn't know you did it on an iPad, I'd think it was a scan of a drawing on paper.

One of the big reasons I draw is, I want people feel warm and happy and want to make them smile when they see my drawings. If I can make them feel easier or happier and sense the warmth when they saw my drawings, that means I succeeded my own reasons/purpose for continue drawing.
So, sure, you can download it and have it, and if that makes you feel better about your beloved cat, that makes me feel happy :)

This was created in Procreate. The rough sketch was done using Adobe Sketch, which I find better for working out ideas. Feels like a real pencil without all the mess.

THIS is why I'll probably not bother with the Apple Pencil.

I could NEVER produce something so amazing!

10/10 ...

Superb!

Where would you point someone who has never "been able" to draw?

I'd love to learn.

Any tips, for a COMPLETE newbie?

Thanks ...

I love cats, and I started drawing cats like this way(realistic) when I got 12.9" Pro on digital form. I use procreate, and now I'm doing much better just because now I know what kind of brushes give me the effects or results I want to have.
For digital art, it's one of important points that you know brushes and which one gives you what you want.

My very first digital cats drawing/eye drawing were like bellow ;

You can see how much I got used to now from there, right? :)

I didn't like Adobe sketch/Adobe draw as much as Procreate. It(Procreate) is a paid app but you can have so many brushes at start already, easy to learn, I highly recommend it.

Drawing is fun. Not necessary things have to be like real shape/colors when you draw them.
This thread, there are lot of skilled artist, from newbies to expert, great thing to add is all those people are nice here and willing to help if they can!

I can't find my first photoshop drawing, most of you guys gonna laugh if you see it lol
I'll post it later if I can find it on my Facebook lol

Yap, I found it lol
I did it in October 2010 according to my Facebook post, so it's about 5 years ago.
I still remember, it was my first time using photoshop on Wacom tablet and really my first time drawing on it!

Hope this gives people hope and makes them feel they can draw too ;)
You can see, you can draw too!

Oh I laughted myself so much lol

I think I'd really like to try the Pencil.

... and to learn how to draw!

However, I'm really concerned about it scratching the screen?

Has anyone noticed any scratching on their screen, from the Pencil?

Thanks.

I bought some screen protectors, just in case. They sell them on eBay for 99p and you actually get 5!!!
I hope the screen protector doesn't affect the drawing.

Anyone know, if it matters?

Sometimes you can feel if it has picked up dust or whatever and so might feel a tad scratchy, but it hasn't left any scratches...yet!
