I only walk at 1.7 miles per hour. I have used various treadmill desks for 10+ years. I really like them. Some days when I am just processing email I will see that I walked for three hours without realizing it. But even if I bump it up to 2.2 miles per hour (which is my typical max) I would get tired after a couple hours. So I just set it lower and it is common to walk four or five hours in a day.

I'm curious .. when your treadmill cadence picks up ... do you use Siri on your Mac Pro /iPad for data entry or navigation/launching apps? I've seen this setup at an old workplace, yet anyone with a laptop could place on a table and start.

You're not the first 5.1 to post here. Since the ice has been broken, I'll add my 5.1 setup. Details listed in .sig below. Typically I have 4 monitors attached, but the Vega 64 can drive up to 6. I work in the area of regulatory compliance, so I need lots of video space to see multiple documents. For fun, I edit 4K drone videos, so the horsepower from the Vega 64 card goes a long way to speed up rendering on Premiere.

I guess I can update this with my current setup, although the position of both of these on my desk is temporary. One is a photography workstation with light video use (16-core, Dual Radeon Pro Vega II modules, dual XDRs), the other will be for 4k video production, shot in ProRes RAW (28-core, Radeon Pro Vega II + Afterburner, one more XDR on the way). Both are on the desk right now as the video station is being configured, it will move to its proper home shortly.

I feel like I'm the odd one out in this crowd... I have limited space in my Mac/Man Cave... Not sure where I will find the room for our new MP7,1 when it arrives in a few weeks time... I do have an increasing pile of stuff ready to be installed into it, that I have to take care not to knock it all over as the pile grows higher and higher... ;) ?;) I need the MP7,1's wheels as I have to move things around constantly.:p View attachment 889763 View attachment 889761 View attachment 889755 View attachment 889752 View attachment 889753 View attachment 889754 View attachment 889755 View attachment 889756 View attachment 889757 View attachment 889752 View attachment 889753 View attachment 889754 View attachment 889755 View attachment 889756 View attachment 889757 View attachment 889758 View attachment 889761 View attachment 889762 View attachment 889763 View attachment 889752 View attachment 889753 View attachment 889754 View attachment 889755 View attachment 889756 View attachment 889757 View attachment 889758 View attachment 889761 View attachment 889762 View attachment 889763

Ahhh that monitor setup would annoy me, I like things to be even... ?
What's the gizmo beneath the monitors with the digital readout?

You are indeed. Good spot. Two Sub12‘s either side too. Sound is lovely in there given its not a particularly expensive room as far as studios go.
Very nice! I have them too, coupled with an 11" CMS Focal sub.

Pro Keyboard! Still use mine (2006 vintage) with my 5,1 (and the 4,1 before it). I've got the 2009 wireless keyboard, tried the 7,1's keyboard, both perfectly fine, but they don't have the same feel.

Best keyboard apple ever made...there's just something about an old-school mechanical keyboard. Model is A1048. You can still get them new on eBay...for now.
