Just finished Day-10 of migrating all my apps/files/settings over from my 2012 Mac Pro. This is just the "staging" area. Will be moving over to my main workstation hopefully tomorrow (with three monitors and tablets - keeping fingers crossed).

Just had one major issue where the new Mac Pro just completely turned off when I clicked a menu item?

I will post another image once I have it in the final set-up.

I am thinking of buying a Mac Pro, that will be put on the floor between a desk and a wardrobe.
On the back, it will sit at 10 cmfrom the wall.
Do you think it is sufficient for a good rear exhaust airflow?

Should be fine, I run my Mac Pro pretty much like that for many years. And I am live in hot Asia.

Also living in Asia and I always have one of these next to each editors computer desk ~
It takes out some of the humidity generated by the computer exhaust and general atmosphere. Have to change them about every 5 days.

Wouldn't the low humidity create electrostatic to the Mac Pro?
It's too humid here. Even I keep the dehumidifier on 24/7, still way too humid, and not a single electrostatic (spark) happen yet (even between me and the clothes). It's practically impossible to have electrostatic issue in my place. I never need to wear anti static band when I deal with electronics.

I started to play around with electronics at about 10. So, it's 30 years now. Still not a single electrostatic issue happen yet.

Why would you need to take the humidity out of the air out of curiosity? Is the humidity doing something to the computer I'm unaware of?

No that monitor is just for setup before I take the computer to the final location (which has 3 - 27" NEC monitors), The monitor in the photo is a retired 26" NEC.

The product I use brings humidity to the level that someone living in Tennessee USA would experience...

That seems bad

Same thing here. It's so humid and usually the issue will go away if I leave air conditioner on more than few hours.

Wow. So many elegant looking workspace setups. Many with a nice minimalist Apple Industrial Design feel.

My workspace has more of a “Microsoft Windows” design feel:

It’s a Dell 4K monitor they let me bring home form work. I asked our IT group for a Mac once. They told me to “go to Dell.”

No Mac Pro 7,1 here. It’s a cMP 4,1 flashed to a 5,1 with a Sapphire RX 580 and a USB 3.0 / eSATA card.

It fits quite well in a 23” rack cabinet I salvaged (on the way to the dump). USB (over Ethernet) runs through the wall to the bench pictured above. I also have USB over Ethernet and HDMI over Ethernet running to the TV / 7.1 Receiver in the family room in another part of the house. I had to solder an EEPROM I scavenged from a dead monitor (re-flashed with my receiver’s EDID information) onto the DDC pins of the HDMI over Ethernet extender to get all 7.1 channels of audio to work.
