Second Studio Display arrived today, so this is the current work in progress setup. I am considering moving the Mac to the far left under the first display as it feels its jutting out quite a bit in the middle as it is. Also, does anyone know if I can get the desktop wallpaper to span across both screens?View attachment 1985324
You’ll want dual display wallpapers—you download left and right halves. Plenty of sources on the web; Twelve South has some that are optimized for 5K Retina displays.

Got the ultra model on day on (18. March) and paired it with the XDR-Pro
Using the iPad Pro sometimes as a screen extension.
I am really happy with the setup - works like a charm.

Those LSX are smaller than I realized! Great size for a desktop computer setup. Love my LS50W in the living room.

Love the display (ignore the glare, it really is not an issue, lol.)

Studio Display
Imac Pro (Studio Ultra on order)
Apple trackpad
Logitech Craft Keyboard
Logitech MX 3 mouse
B&W MM1 (speakers)
"The last stand (Etsy)" stand for studio display

Thanks! Behind the display are 2 hue play bars attached to the wall with command strips (see pic), this way I don’t have to stick anything to the display itself.

The watch box is a timeline of my life, the first watch was for my 18th birthday, the second for my 21st, the 3rd when I was in my 30’s, then my Apple Watch, and finally my grail watch an Omega Speedmaster Professional. A gift to myself for surviving a massively traumatic event in my life.
That's awesome about the watches. Love when they have history. I wish I could say the same for mine...hence the reason I sold them. All my father's watches were purchased in the mid to early 1980s during the quartz craze and thus weren't even fixable when I sent them back to the manufacturer...they don't make ancient electric parts anymore!

Nice looking setup. Question—I’ve seen lots of setups like yours with a long light strip at the top of the monitor. What is the purpose of that? Does it not wash the screen with light, or distractingLy shine in your eyes? Genuinely curious as to how this could work.
Thank! Illuminates the keyboard and desktop. Its light is absolutely not disturbing. The type, BENQ Screenbar Plus.

I see quite a few people here (and in Apple's produce videos) seemingly only using the Magic Trackpad. I keep being them despite only using it on occasion to zoom in

Do people really enjoying using the trackpad for work rather than an mouse? I feel like I get arm/wrist fatigue, but maybe I'm just not used to it.

Ok I think I have settled on my final home office setup. Display 1 is connected to the Mac Studio, Display 2 is connected to my work laptop. At weekends I can connect Display 2 to my Mac if I wish for a larger desktop space.View attachment 1985355

What do you mean?

My setup:
- Mac Studio M1 Max
- 2x Huawei Mateview 28.2"View attachment 1985659
Does it bother either of you to be positioned in the center of your displays? As in if you look starting you're looking at the bezel or gap? I like the symmetry of it, but think I'd default to a centered and one-off display, but I've never tried this kind of setup.

I don’t even have a mouse, I only use the Magic Trackpad.

I’ve come to prefer the Trackpad over a mouse. Apple’s mouse isn’t ergonomic for me. It’s been so long, I don’t recall using a mouse regularly.

I have been using a Magic Trackpad for years. I can't even imagine using a mouse now.

I use a mouse for work. For most financial software, the trackpad is a nightmare, and I've tried.

At home I haven't used a mouse in years, as the trackpad is far superior in my experience. But I expect that would potentially depend on workflow and apps. I also tend to use keyboard commands when possible.

This is an absolute beauty. Where did you get that iPad Pro stand from?

It is the Kensington Studio Dock iPad Pro Stand. There are different versions of the dock depending of the iPad you use. You can get it from Amazon:

I really like it, especially the ability to rotate and tilt the screen and the possibility to charge two devices on the base. And since the introduction of 'universal control' the usage of the setup has become really easy. :)
