Agenda has added Sign In With Apple

CFAC86F1-4FAC-4CA9-9FB0-085CCE9DE445.png
This brings me to a point I’ve noticed. Some apps are in fact making things harder by adding Sign In With Apple.

Apps have already had the ability of syncing your settings between your iOS devices through iCloud long before Sign In With Apple. No account or sign in is needed.

Having “an account” is only really necessary for cross platform apps. I guess there are more of them these days than when iCloud syncing first showed up but Agenda is only available on Apple devices.

IMDB web provides SIWA now. However, it doesn't work me. I tried to sign in but it prompted me "Registration not completed" error.

It seems that different countries have different apps. I just checked my version number (6.1.0) and it's behind the one you listed (6.6.1). There's no update available for the McDonalds in Canada app. It neither has Sign In With Apple, nor Google.
Same for the UK app, SIWA not available yet.

Doordash has added Sign In With Apple back in.

Edit: scratch that! The button doesn’t work. 🤦🏼‍♂️

Edit again: It now works but the touch target for Sign In With Apple is a narrow sliver right in the middle of the button. Tapping anywhere else on the button doesn’t work. The touch targets for Facebook and Google are the entire button. DoorDash clearly doesn’t want people using an anonymous sign in and/or makes money from Facebook and Google sign ins.

I’m loving how long this list has gotten that I have to swipe multiple times with momentum to get to the bottom of the list. Remember when WordPress and a couple of other apps were our only options to try out Sign In With Apple?

In about a month and a half, this list will be several times longer.

Quora doesn’t support Sign In with Apple yet.

Also Pinterest is not showing the option for me even though it’s on the list here.

I added Quora to the list of major outstanding apps.

Pinterest requires a few launches before it shows it.

They’re being sneaky so new users sign up with Facebook or Google. Also, even when you Sign In with Apple, Pinterest wont let you hide your email. Hopefully Apple cracks down on that.

Ah thanks for confirming. I’ll try out a few times. Let’s see if it works for me.

Update - just tried to relaunch Pinterest 10 times but no apple option for me unfortunately.

Looks like Pinterest pulled SIWA which is kind of troubling. If they can just remotely pull Apple’s sign in, then they can get around the App Store’s approval process. Include it in the app version awaiting review then pull it once it‘s approved.

If Apple finds out that they’re doing this then they’ll ban Pinterest from the AppStore. I hope they’re not that stupid in the product team.

The deadline for SIWA in existing apps is still over a month away. Chances are they found an issue with their implementation and are working on a fix.

Shouldn’t Fortnite be listed among the major outstanding apps? They offer signing in through Facebook, Google and other services and I don’t suppose the game falls under any of the exceptions. Hopefully they will be adding SIWA in the foreseeable future. I actually contacted the Epic Games customer support to ask but only got a very generic PR answer.

I added it to the list. It’s a Wiki so that people can add to the list when they find a new app that has Sign In With Apple or think of one that has social signs ins and is still outstanding. It’s a collective effort so we can have the most complete list out there.

Thank you very much and sorry, I did not realize it was a wiki post.

Line now supports Sign In With Apple.

View attachment 909303

This is great for people like us living in Asia. But I doubt I will be hiding my email lol. I don't know if it's a thing outside of Asia but LINE (and similar chat apps like WeChat and KakaoPay) are embedded now into our lives, it's not just chat apps for us, it's our payment methods when buying in stores.

Wonder in terms of popularity where line stacks up. I haven’t seen their name in such a long time.
LINE is very very popular in Asia like WeChat and Kakaotalk. These are just not chat apps for us, it's our way of making payments when buying at stores, and when you meet new friends, the first we ask is "what's your LINE/Kakaotalk/WeChat ID?" instead of "what's your number". Even for elder people, These are an app they use. Especially with OpenChat, we get to join group chats of people we admire or people.

Kill the app, then restart it. Sign In With Apple will appear.
This looks to me to be an intentional skirting of the rules. When a reviewer at Apple sees Sign In With Apple missing and tells Pinterest: “Hey you’ve gotta add it”, Pinterest can say “look again” and there it is.
I wonder what the appropriate avenue would be to report this to Apple.
I'm wondering the same thing. Pinterest is a nice app, but they already know too much about me based on my board and pins. I don't want them knowing my email address too lol
