Looks like eBay has added SIWA.

EDIT: Release notes said "Log in with just a tap, thanks to Apple Sign In" but I currently see no evidence of SIWA.. I might have jumped the gun here.

I can’t see it in the app. However...going to this page brings up a SIWA dialog:

Unfortunately, when i click continue, it authenticates with FaceID and then fails and says “Sign-Up Not Completed”.

Some apps, including Spotify and Fiverr had a rollout period where it worked on and off.

It does look like eBay is in the process of rolling out Sign In With Apple.

Going to ebay.com/signin/apple works.

A couple of things:

1. eBay requires you to give your email address. The usual Sign In With Apple process wasn’t there to allow me to choose a hidden address. I don’t know if this breaks Apple’s rules or not.

2. On the bright side, eBay allows you to link your Sign In With Apple to an existing account.

Wish and DoorDash have both added Sign In With Apple.

... and FitBit has removed all social media logins.

Bumble have fixed their SIWA and it now appears in the app.

If you don’t hide your email when signing up with Sign In With Apple and it matches the email address you had with an existing account, it’ll seamlessly merge them.

It’s working for me now too but I’m not giving them my email address......surely this negates one of the big advantages of SIWA.

I ran into something similar with Booking.com where using safari I was unable to use the "Hide my Email" option. However I downloaded the app and it worked great. Ebay may have the same issue, and we just need to wait for app rollout.

Yes. I suspect this is the case. Signing up through Safari prompts us to give our email. It’s not automated like Sign In With Apple is in an app.

It’s been a long while since I’ve used eBay so my history with my existing account isn’t that relevant. I’ll just start a new anonymous account once the app offers SIWA.

This worked smoothly for me (linking an existing account with, thankfully, the same mail).

SIWA is coming along nicely...

Now if only the last few apps I‘m holding out for could update already...

When logging in on Nintendo.com -> account, I see SIWA as an option. 3C07E2EE-BD04-42EE-B67A-0D9136A3A127.png

edit: you can’t use SIWA with relay and you can’t use SIWA when you log in on a Switch (yet). Looks like they implement it the way Macrumors did it; not really how it should.

Pinterest has added Sign In With Apple, but with a sneaky, malicious twist.

Sign In With Apple does not appear on the initial launch when users would generally register for an account.

Quit the app and Sign In With Apple then appears.

Pinterest won’t let you create an anonymous account with a relay email. The option is missing and they ask you for an email address when you sign up with Apple.

Pinterest really really wants to track you.

I actually just deleted my account last week in preparation for SIWA. I had barely used it at all, so I will continue waiting until I can hide my email or do without.

Side note thanks to everyone for helping track all these apps!

I’ve tried linking to my existing account and it doesn’t seem to work. It just asks me to set up a new account.

This is one of those accounts that I have too much of a history with to start over.

It’s also the third example (also eBay and Pinterest) that we’ve found that sidesteps Sign In With Apple’s anonymous relay feature. I wonder that once developers realize they can do this, they’ll require a real email and defeat the purpose of Sign In With Apple. Hopefully Apple gets ahead of that and makes supporting the relay feature mandatory.

1. Sign in normally with you main account
2. Go to your account settings
3. Under user info
4. Linked accounts
5. Choose Apple

Doesn’t Apple require SIWA be the first sign on option listed? I’ve noticed this isn’t the case for a lot of these apps so far 🤨

I believe they changed that. Originally that’s what the guidelines used to say but now everywhere it just says that the Sign in with Apple button must be as prominent as the others.

I can see instances where that rule is broken though. Here for example:

More dating apps have been adding Sign In With Apple. Bumble officially released last week after a couple of months of back and forth and today Happn and Coffee Meets Bagel have added it.

Tinder and Hinge still require a phone number and offer Facebook login but not Apple.

Smule now has Sign In With Apple.

We’re very close to the original April 30th deadline to implement Sign In With Apple and even though the deadline was extended to June 30th, it was correct to assume that many apps already had a roadmap to deliver it by the end of April and seeing the deluge of apps in recent weeks, many are in fact keeping to the original timeline.

Now this is ironic. Apple owned Shazam does not have Sign In With Apple.

I’ve added it to the list of top outstanding apps.
